I stopped at the Stater Brothers market on Barton Rd. to pick up some chicken wings for dinner. I was helped by a very friendly associate named Shae. As she started to pick out the wings for me, she had a bit of a troubled look on her face. She informed me that the wings seemed a little dried out, but if I was able to come in about 10 minutes, she would have some fresh wings for me. I have went above and beyond for employees Adrian and Jessica from Produce. I have spoken with a couple of managers to let them know how I praised and thank Adrian and Jessica and the rest of yProduce employees. I also have previously wrote a positive remarks on Yelp with a Five Star as well. However Adrian and Jessica work ethics have fallen on deaf eyes. When I began shopping at Store #112 three years ago I was able to walk in and find certain chopped fruits in the plastic containers. When I go shopping at the market I kindly ask Adrian and Jessica if they can please chop certain fruits and placing it in the plastic container. Although they comply, they make me wait, they tell me to come back in fifteen minutes. I have been patiently trying to work with their demands, to meet them in the middle, so that we can work on convenient time. Both Adrian and Jessica have told me between 9:30 am and 10 am is a good time to pick up the chopped papaya. The problem is they are not prepared. Instead of shopping in the morning I decided to shop in the evenings and there's no chopped papaya in the plastic container. There is however plenty of other chopped fruits of different kinds. The kinder and friendlier I have been towards Adrian and Jessica the they have shown their resentment and lack of respect simply because I verbally ask them if they can please chop up papaya. It's unfortunate this situation has happened. I've lost all confidence in Adrian and Jessica work ethics. read more

Cow theme cake fail turned Rated R! Asked for a cow themed cake and received a cake with what looked like sad (pun intended) inappropriate male anatomical decorations all over! No matter how we looked it at it, the "cow patches" for a first birthday party turned out to be Rated R/Mature Adult Content quickly! I am deeply amazed by the confidence in the cake decorator who decorated the cake. I want the type of confidence she's rocking! Selling a cake and thinking it looks fly but clearly looking like the one year old birthday boy decorated it. It's either confidence, carelessness or an apparent visual impairment on their behalf as this was far from cow print. It was clear that they knew they delivered a disaster of a cake as it was completely covered and quickly wished well to my brother in law who picked it up. Not to mention the cake itself was frozen. Horrible cake that resulted in lots of laughs and jokes but deserves a refund for the $140 for poor decorations that reminded every adult of the blurry anatomies they've seen via bumble and inability to consume the cake because it was frozen! We used to spend a lot of money on custom cakes for kids' birthday until we found the bakery/cake counter here. The cakes are really good and very affordable. They have a ton of cartoon themed for kids. They seem to sell a lot of cakes so you know that the cake hasn't been sitting around. Ordering the cake ahead of time is also really nice because you will get the theme you want and you know that the cake is being made for your order. Aside from theme, you get to pick size of cake, filling, writing. For the price you get a great deal. The cakes so far have always been a hit for adults and kids alike. Smart and Final's prices went through the roof, and their availability of product went downhill. Also, Stater's keeps their stores clean, but the staff are really friendly, and helpful. All I can say is wow..the interior has been completely remodeled and reorganized. Everything is easy to find and always in stock. Two things were added in the remodel a sushi bar and an area where fruit is cut and packaged and dinner entrees are made. Oh and the meat counter has been completely done. I give this one a 4 because it's conveniently located by my home. In addition, it's in a nice area. This is a big deal for me. I like shopping centers nice and clean. Staff isn't friendly or overly helpful but they do do their jobs. I love the shopping center it is in close to Stella's coffee. They usually have great deals on 40ct juice boxes for Honest juice. They will have a sale for $9.99 and I'll buy two. I have two kiddos so I love to get deals whenever I can! Outside of that, as usual, Stater Bros. Is not that affordable and does not have a wide selection of toiletries and house items along with groceries the way you would find at a Walmart grocer or walmart. It's also not that busy and congested here. Parking is fine and usually pretty open. They also take apple pay, fitbit pay and Samsung pay for those who are trendsetters! read more

I have actually planned to do this review for quite some time now but today was the final straw. I do not understand why the box people have to shove everything into one bag. I brought my own bags and there were more than enough of them, still everything is piled into one bag! So much so the handle ripped and this isn't the first time! To top that, my tomatoes were on the bottom of the bag. Who is doing the training for these employees? How do elderly people carry these heavy bags? If there isn't enough room I would be more than happy to purchase another one. Please advise your employees to pack the food that I just spent a fortune on more carefully. read more

The curbside delivery thing (vis a vis, Instacart) are a major hassle. Staters should do this in-house instead of via Instacart. The Instacart prices show prices 5-10% higher than if you go there yourself. For example, $37.49 for Gentle Giants Dog Food (online) and $35.99 in the store. Plus, the delivery fee and the tip (I always tip people who do a good job). I could not find anyway to do a curbsite delivery from online without spending alot of time trying to figure it out (and never could figure it out----a waste of time---I could have shopped at the store and been home by now!). And from what I understand it's only at certain stores that way out of your way (at least that is what the websites indicate---instacart websites is very poor, at best). My neighbor tried it twice and the orders were screwed up. She gave up on these baloney services that you have to babysit. I spent over an hour on the instacart site because I wanted things delivered to me, but the site kept saying "pickup". No logical buttons to change it to delivery. Bottom line, if you are busy person or anyone with an interest in efficiency don't waste your time on these baloney online services that are completely dysfunctional. Walmart Neighborhood Market's in-house set up is horrible. I DO use curbsite pickup at Lowes (non-grocery) and it is super efficient and easy to do. SUMMARY: Go get your groceries yourself! You'll get what you want accurately at better prices at your own time schedule. read more

Soo I've been coming to this market for the last year since I moved here, but over the past few months I've been seeing more & more maskless possible disease spreaders roaming the store. When I asked an employee what their policy is, they basically told me that they don't enforce it because customers often get irate & they are not the authorities. At this point I'll be shopping elsewhere where I run less of a risk of catching a disease that some jerk decided wasn't a big enough deal to care about. There was an entire family walking around possibly infecting anyone they came in contact with. I will be shopping elsewhere where customers have empathy for those who are not as easily able to fight off covid. I'm not immunocompromised but my personal freedoms don't trump someone elses pursuit of living a healthy disease free life. read more

We moonlight as instacart shoppers and occasionally we run into staff members who aren't very friendly even if we have done our part and tried our best to find specific items. Most of the staff is extremely helpful, but there are always a few who are unwilling to be bothered. We have worked in customer service for a long time. Jobs are always stressful and sometimes frustrating, but we believe in treating all people with good customer service. read more
