Love the environment when I am at Station 21 - whether coming in for a couple drinks or eating dinner with friends. They have a great variety of sandwiches and burgers and there's not a bad seat in the place since there are TV's EVERYWHERE! I have actually been here a few times. Good sandwiches but fish has always been seriously under cooked. Downstairs is a rushed meal poorly staffed. Our experience tonight was a raw salmon for my wife with no apologies from the manager other than "I took the meal off your bill". I have been to 21 many times over the last year. The menu is small, very little changes, but every week there are specials. The chicken dumpling soup is by far the best I've ever tasted. The chili is good, got a tad bit of kick but not a lot. The Mac n cheese is very good, but one order is for two people. The blacken Salmon is freaken' awesome, the same goes for my favorite comfort food the pot roast. I tried the wings, I love wings, but theirs we just ok, nothing special. The ribs are good...but the NY Strip special is better. Very clean place, great tvs for watching a game while you eat. The restaurant itself supports local sport teams in the community and living in Crown Point, that means a lot. Supporting your community is awesome. The staff is young, but helpful, we have had moments of greatness there and at times had waited a little long for a burger. But...the burger was worth the wait, bacon cheese burger I had last night just rocked! I think all 21 needs is a gulf shrimp dish, a manager or chef visit to tables once in awhile to see how people are enjoying the food. I really like this place, I would take anyone there for lunch or dinner without fear of disappointment. My sisters and I just left there, it was our first time all being there. I didn't hear good things about the place but we decided to give it a try and decided for ourselves. None of us were satisfied, me and my one sister didn't like anything about the place. My other liked her food, she got the tuna tacos. Service was not the greatest. The girls were standing around talking while my sister waited for the check. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to eat here. read more

Me and my husband have been here a few times. The food is decent, the wait for sitting is not usually long but the wait for the drinks, food or anything else from your waitress is unbelievable.. I don't think they have many people working for the amount of space the they. We gave this restaurant a few chances but needless to say we will not be back, maybe if they find new management because it's awful! read more

Wonderful food and great atmosphere. Waitstaff is excellent. Food was good, fish was a little greasy though. Good for drinks. Only real drawback is if you have small children no changing table in the restroom. Will most definitely come back. read more

Went last night on the recommendation of a friend who said the burgers were awesome. The service was excellent which is I why I gave 3 stars instead of one. Ordered a cheese burger well done with fries. The burger I got served was medium rare and the fries were cold like they have been sitting for awhile. The waitress apologized and went to the kitchen to replace my fries. The cook informed her the fries were fresh out the fryer when he served them. When the second batch of fries came out you can tell the difference in color alone and the waitress agreed. I guess maybe we should after 11pm but that's still no excuse for a medium cooked burger when I clearly ordered well done. read more

The food was good but the service was abysmal. I was never acknowledged when I walked in, was overlooked by 2 hostesses, and multiple parties were seated before me. As the hostess directed me to my table, I informed her that I was first going to use the restroom. When I returned, my seat had been given to another party. I then had to wait 5 minutes until my original hostess returned. She then had the audacity to ask me if she could help me, as if she had never seen my face. If I had not been in a hurry to attend a wedding, and if I knew of another location in town, I would have left. The parking lot is also narrow and difficult to navigate. This, my first trip to Crown Point, did not leave a pleasant taste in my mouth. read more

We were there for dinner on Saturday evening. They were very busy. It took 15 minutes to get a beer. They were busy I get it. When our dinner arrived, my burger was not cooked as I like it (more well done than medium as I ordered it), the egg was cooked to death and the burger had no flavor at all. It was like eating a cardboard box. The manager took what a dessert would have cost off of the bill ($5.00). The problem is this: my son ordered the Ahi tuna tacos. He was sick all night from them. He looked it up and it could have started when the fish was caught or it could have been in Station 21's kitchen prep. Either way, he was up all night. Kind of makes you wonder what the kitchen is like if they cannot season a burger and their fish tacos make you sick. No sure if we will be back. read more

The staff is super friendly, very attentive, and polite. Knowlegable on the specials, and what beverage goes best with certain foods. No matter how busy they are i never wait long and our food is always in a timely manner. I normally sit upstairs, the atmosphere is always great. Huge fan of the wings and Ahi tuna tacos . read more

Been here for lunch and for late night drinks. Love the Mac N Cheese, it's killer. also great burgers. the atmosphere is really nice and clean and the upstairs bar has an awesome outdoor deck that has a great view. I recommend Station 21 for great food and cocktails. read more

I was surprised at the negative reviews but perhaps we got lucky. The hostess was very friendly. We ate on the patio and had excellent service. We shared the spinach and artichoke dip. I had the yellowfin tuna tacos and my husband had the pulled pork. Both were very good. read more

Probably the best place in the area to watch a game with friends. Upstairs has a nice sports bar. The downstairs is more family based diners. Food is rather good and beer list is decent for northwest Indiana. Mac n cheese is great. The Reuben is rather good too. Service is always friendly. read more

We consider this the best place we have found yet. New to Crown Point we wanted to find some local places with great food, service and prices. We found it all here and will continue to keep coming back. We highly recommend the Artichoke appetizer although everything tastes great. We've visited this place many times, as our daughter used to be a server there. A few times, we were disappointed, but last night was the worst! At first, our waitress and her orientee were attentive. Our soups and my husband's salad came out at a decent time. Then, the wait begain. After about 30-35 minutes, the waitress came to the table to tell us that they had run out of the vegetables. So, my husband had selected cole slaw. Then, about 10 minutes later, she came to the table to tell us that they had run out of baked potatoes! He then selected French fries. Now mind you, he ordered the sirloin tips which he is now eating with cole slaw and French fries! The waitress apologized and said she would inform the manager. An hour into our visit, the manager (Bree) came to the table, gave a half hearted apology and said that she would speak to them (them, we have no idea who). She did give us a discount on our meal, but the insincere apology, along with throwing "them" under the bus was not appreciated. In our opinion, it's the manager's responsibility to assure that the offered food is available...especially items that come with almost every meal. Like I said, we've had disappointments before at this place but were willing to give it another shot...nobody's perfect, but this was probably our last time!!! read more

Oh come on people in Crown Point are so used to bad restaurants they will leave a good review for anything. I really want to like this place and have tried it three times, the second time my friend and I both had such an unrepentant avocado in our salad we could not cut it with a knife, told the waitress and she came back and said they are having a problem with all of them, why would you even put one in a salad then, no quality control or pride in the food that they are putting out. The other night my friends grilled cheese was on cheap white Texas toast with some fake looking cheese that I am sure came from the area restaurant food supply service. My Fritos pie had that fake cheese sauce all over it. That probably came from a can. No quality ingredients here or care in what they serve, people accept it and I don't know if they are just not aware of fresh well prepared food. read more

My husband and I visited his restaurant for the first time & will probably won't be back. We ordered baked potato soup which was terrible. Luke warm & looking like baby cereal & tasting like instant mashed potatoes. The worst baked potato soup ever. Hamburger was good but I've had better. My husband and I used a groupon to check this place out. All I can say is they have the best "drummies" we have ever tasted!!! The atmosphere was nice, they have an upstairs outside dining area which is nice. Our server was great!! We will definitely be coming back again and again!! read more

The only thing I didn't like was the Burnt cheese on my burger. As a experienced cook and chef-in-training, No one likes the burnt taste in their mouth. Please consider melting the cheese very limited on the flat top griddle, not burn it! read more

I thought the food was really good, especially the baked potato soup. My only major complaint would be the noise level on the second floor that seemed to be emphasized by the tin-like ceiling. It's like every sound was reflected off of it. We were seated at a table that had a small tv in on the wall in the booth, which was cool because we could keep track of the news while waiting for our food. It was very busy when we arrived a little past lunch time, so parking was a challenge. Our server was very nice. The hostess was ehh...but we only had to talk to her for a minute. Just had dinner and a beer. Food was passable. Hostess at the door was a royal bitch. "How long is the wait??" "I don't know." "10, 20,30 minutes??" "Maybe" "Ok, Can we go upstairs?" "No. There's a wait for that, too." "Can we go up and just get a beer while we wait?" "Yeah" So we go upstairs and there's 10-15 open seats. Ask a waitress if we can sit down? Sure. Then somebody comes and says Oh NO. You can't sit. There's a wait at the door. I told him she said it was alright, and I was beginning to get po'ed. He then says sit down. Was very nice after that. People were leaving because of the wait at the door, and there were seats there, and upstairs. WTF! We haven't been here in a year. It will be at least that long next time. read more

I've been to Station 21 twice, once for dinner and once for a cold beer in the bar and take out. The place is amazing inside with first class ambiance and plenty of visuals for the Crown Point locals and sports fans. The service has always been polite and organized and the food is very good, especially the Mac-n-cheese. I will be a repeat visitor. read more

Great Restaurant super food, my father used to travel a lot. He always told me if the parking lot is full and it is diner time the food is always good. The only drawback is the lot is always full, my suggestion is to arrive earlier than everybody else. read more

I have been here many times and pretty satisfied. The soups are homemade daily and always good, chili is better than many places. Tuna tacos, spicy chicken or fish are tasty as are the salads with chicken. Drummies are meaty and better than lame wings in other places. They serve a very fine portion of steak or pork chop dinners, good quality. Drinks are good and house wine is good quality, better than I have tasted in some other restaurants. If you think differently fine, I'd like to see your reaction when you get ignored and 2 tables and a booth were filled by patrons after us. Very poor service. We ordered an appetizer of chips and pico and 6 drummies. After 45 minutes we still did not have the appetizers or our dinners. We asked about it at the 30 minute mark and were told " your chips and pico are up, I'm waiting on the drummies!" How long does it take to cook 6 little pieces of chicken. Took 1 1/2 hours to get our food when it came my order was wrong.(Not what I ordered) I told the server about it so he went to put in the right order than a man (I'm guessing the owner or manager he was older) came back with the same wrong thing to ask if i ordered it. NO still not going to take something I did not order . He said it will be 15 to 20 minutes for the right order never apologized nor did the waiter. Could have offered a free drink or something while I waited. Meanwhile my husband cut my son's kid's meal of 2 mini-hamburgers in half for him and the burger was raw and bloody in the middle- both of them so then we had to call waiter back so he could get another order for my son. Still no apoplogies no nothing. Very poor service and managing in my opinion. The food was not even that great to not have good customer service !! We will not be going back !! I swear I left a review a month ago and it got deleted, ANYWAY! We were regular customers and the last time we went our service was horrible. Our order took forever, and the waitress blamed it on the cooks getting our order wrong. My husband and myself ordered the 5 alarm burger with jalapenos on the side. My oldest son ordered the cod meal, with sauce on the side. He didn't want the sauce at all but I suggested he get it on the side to try it. SO 30 mins later after ordering our food we get our meals WITH the jalapenos on the burger and the sauce was on my sons fish! At this point I was hungry and wanted my meal, however my husband sent his back. The waitress told him they would "scrape off the jalapenos and melt another piece of cheese on it." Then it would be WELL done and my husband didn't want that SO my husband asked to get a fresh burger. They agreed and came back with the SAME burger not a fresh one and gave it back to him. No discount was offered or even a free pop. I used to LOVE Station 21 but after a few other bad experiences and that we decided to cross it off our list. Too bad! :( read more

I had gone to visit a sick relative at St. Anthony's hospital on a Monday night . It was after 10 pm when I left to grab a bite to eat. I stopped at 3 different restaurants in the square not knowing all there kitchens had closed at 10. I was heading out of town when I stumbled across STATION 21 and saw some tvs. It was 10:30 by the time I walked in 21, the place had a few customers upstairs watching sports and no one down stairs. The kitchen was closed when I approached the manager and told him I was in town visiting a relative in the hospital and hadn't eaten all night. The manager not only opened the kitchen for me, he also took the time to sit and visit with me before my meal arrived . I have never experienced a place where the manager took the time to sit and ask me about my step mothers health. I can honestly say he put a huge smile on my face and a lump in my throat ! The food was great and my experience was remarkable, thank you Mr. Pick for making my dinner experience a memorable one! read more
