I've lived in Escondido for over a year now and it wasn't until today that I found good pizza in the area. I've tried so many local places thank the general census was high cost, low quality, or average at best. We honestly just gave up and started getting frozen Pizza from Albertsons because it's better than what this area has to offer. But for some reason today told us to try something new and I'm glad we did. We got the 18 inch which was more than enough, we got what's considered "specialty ingredients" at most places and walked out under $30. New owners! Yes, Lawd! I used to work in North County and would stop by station pizza from time to time. It was a quiet little pizza shop, a place to grab a lunch bite but nothing out of the ordinary. When I heard there were new owners I was interested and stopped by since I was in the area. The first thing I noticed when I walked in were all the people (sweet!). There were families, couples, and groups all enjoying something delicious at their tables. I browsed the menu and went a little rogue with the meatball calzone with ricotta and parm. Wow. Absolutely delicious. After talking to one of the employees I learned that the new head chef is sort of a culinary wizard, and the new ownership consists of three local families from San Marcos who are all in on this place. People, I can not tell you how important it is to support our local businesses! I will definitely be coming back and bringing along some friends. I love this place! read more

Great quality pizza and service and it's probably due to the people working there being adults who care about their product and customers - vs. going to a place where the teens / college student cares more about checking their phone instead of checking your pizza in the oven. I have to start off by letting you know I ordered delivery. So this review is only based on the food. I did not visit the establishment or have any dealings with a "rude owner" I just had the food and it was a very good experience. I had the pesto personalized pizza which was absolutely delicious, a greek salad which was split among us all, and threw in an order of garlic fries because I love them and this can show if its a decent place or not. The pizza was spot on, and the salad was fresh. The fries are what really shocked me though, they were like I ordered them at a nice place and dine in. NO GREASE soaked through the paper. They were perfectly cooked, and seasoned. The portion sizes are huge, so if the prices are a bit higher, then that is why. Honestly I got these three items for 25 dollars, and all three of us were full to the brim. I now have another place to call in for delivery. I am glad I tried something new. One of my husbands slices fell apart in the oven and the guy (maybe the owner?) said he would make another one up for him. So, after he finished his 1.5 slices (the owner did give him the rest of the slice that fell apart), we just sat there and waited. Finally, my husband went to the counter and the guy totally forgot to make it up. He apologized, made him another slice and brought it out. I didn't think the pizza was anything memorable. We had 30 people come to celebrate my 33th bday I called Mike early in the week to inform them that we were gonna have a party of 15- 20. Then called again to inform that we were upping it to 25 people. They reserved two big tables and even took 2 booths. They were so sweet, super fast, great prices and cold beer. Many arcade games kept our rowdy group of outnumbered parents to kids happy. Food was so yummy and atmosphere chill. They even arranged cupcakes we brought on a pizza tray for us to pass out. This is my go to pizza in San Marcos. The pizza is well made, the dough is thin and light, and most important (for me), I have never had a greasy pizza from the team at Station. When I saw where it was, I realized that I've driven past it countless times. My family likes Margarita pizzas and their White Stone pizza with tomato fits the bill and it's was fantastic!! I also threw in two Station salads - tho one was big enough for three of us. What I'll remember more is their friendliness when I came to pick up my order. We love Station Pizza! Laid back and casual environment with nice big televisions to watch the Padres. Several arcade games to entertain the kids while the parents take advantage of the decent beer selection. We ordered takeout from here. We had a pepperoni, onion and pineapple pizza. The crust is so good crispy yet soft and has some flavor. The sauce is good too! Even good the next day. They're reasonably priced and when I want authentic pizza I go to this place.
