Not bad of a spot! Made a last minute decision to eat out after watching a show and this place was open. There was a line, so I thought it must be good and gave it a try. Food - Pretty good! Their options are pretty basic and they have the standards. It's like going to almost any other good Western-sushi spot (with all the toppings and whatnot). Their rolls are huge too! Just 1 or 2 hit the spot and got me really full. Service - Very nice and attentive. The guy was willing to help with any questions and helped seat us at the patio. No complaints! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - quaint spot with outdoor seating, which was helpful. Pretty sure they're dog-friendly because they just have a covered patio. They seemed pretty busy for late Friday night, which was a good sign. And they're right next to Pizza Port. Crowd was good, a lot of couples on dates, but very chill ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would go again if I was craving sushi and happened to be in the area again. I know there's a lot of sushi options so it doesn't stand out TOO much.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Location- it's a cute tucked spot with parish right in front in a nice shopping area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food- the food was flavored and I love how the menu had pictures to it lol I have always loved a menu with pictures. The rolls I ordered were so big. I ordered 4 but with just one was enough. Now I can take it to go Service- the waitress was very kind and sweet with helping us find items on the menu. Support small businesses!! I will definitely come back here when I'm back in town. Seems like the locals love the people here. Overall this was a nice experience and I definitely will come back to this cute location.

    California Roll

Went here last Friday. Was a little unclear when we were getting seated but we sat down pretty quickly. The guy behind the counter ended up taking our order and our server came to us only after about 15-20 minutes. We got 2 California rolls and they were delicious and not very expensive. Our servers were very nice and helpful, but had issues with organization. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great ambiance in the restaurant and a fun time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Station Sushi in Solana Beach is a great place for casual sushi. They have a wide assortment of sushi, rolls, entrees, bowls and noodle soups. On this visit we ordered the following selections: Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna - 4 pieces. Great portion. At least 3-4 bites to finish one. Generous amount of spicy tuna piled on a rectangle bed of crispy rice. Very good and I would order this again. Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll - Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado outer with Yellowtail, jalapeno, soy mustard. So good with the Jalapeno on top for a bit spice. Yellowtail was fresh and so flavorful. Rainbow Roll - California roll inside with outer tuna, salmon and avocado. Such a delightful and tasty roll. Sashimi - 3 pcs each of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. All three sashimi were fresh and delicious. Very satisfied with all the selections on this visit and would order everything again. Service was great from being seated promptly to getting our food. Parking is available either street or their lot in the back. I would definitely come back for casual sushi as their quality and prices are great.

Big Portions. Fast Service. Friendly Staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean Environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really can't complain. My food was terrific. My husband didn't complain about his food either. The sushi chef was super friggin' nice and accommodating. My only "complaint" is that the salmon skin was so minced up... And I'm the type to like it in strips. But every sushi restaurant is different so I can't REALLY fault them for that. I'd totally eat here again.

My friend and I stopped by here after wine at Carruth. We we're creating some sushi and run luck to find the spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating in the service was superintendent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a few rules to share and garlic edamame?. My favorite role is definitely Ford Roll, which our service also recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have seating at their sushi bar but plenty of seating on there heated covered patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for some casual Sushi this is a great place to stop by.

Spicy scallop hand roll, tuna nachos

Went for happy hour so rated for happy hour prices, really average sushi overall. The tuna nachos, salmon nigiri, and fantasy roll were the favorites! Garlic edamame also very good! They did forget to bring our nigiri so had to remind them.

Plenty of parking, and the place was fairly empty so we got seated pretty quickly. It's very clean and a great spot for a casual night out. The sushi tasted fresh and had a really good flavor, and they piled it pretty high. We also decided to try something a bit different so decided on the OMG because it had steak on it. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was definitely a change up from your regular sushi roll. I did enjoy it, and the steak was tender, however i think its not something I'd order often. This was the first time i tried Plum wine, and I have to say I'm sold on it. It was very refreshing and had a nice sweet flavor which i really enjoyed. The service here was good, and ot seems to be a spot that has some regular attendees that are loyal to the place and freaky enjoy the food. Shortly after I arrived, the food was delivered. She was happy with her chirashi bowl ($36), but I was extremely disappointed with my salmon "belly" sashimi. It was not salmon belly, and they charged me $24 for 4 skimpy pieces that were not fresh. It smelled and tasted fishy. The pieces were the same cut as what she got in her chirashi bowl, only her pieces were noticeably larger! I don't mind paying $6 a piece, if it were fresh and the cut slightly larger. After the disappointing pieces of salmon, I ended up just ordering agadashi tofu. In hindsight, I should've just had my daughter order that for me and skip the so-called salmon belly sashimi. This restaurant is very close to my office, and it's a convenient location to meet with my daughter after we both get off work, but given the low quality and high price of the sashimi, I'll have to find another place for us to meet after work when we want sushi. For me, this was an extremely disappointing experience, but since my daughter enjoyed her chirashi, I would give it an average score of 3 stars. It's definitely no longer a 5-star establishment. I think other people may have also caught on, because the restaurant was empty. At 7pm on a Tuesday, there were only 2 other tables, a party of 2 and party of 4 on either side of us. Despite their over-the-phone assurance prior to that visit that a particular menu item, Crab Stuffed Tiger Shrimp, was available, it was not. I wrote a Yelp review describing our experience that day and quickly got a very nice message (I assumed from management) expressing their desire to make things right but that response was taken down in less than 24 hours before I had a chance to reply. Fast forward to a couple days ago, August 3rd. A much-cherished friend and I had to be in the Del Mar area on 8/3, so a week before, I called them and asked if the stuffed shrimp shown on their menu was available and, if so, were there any time restrictions. The person I spoke to stated that it was available and could be ordered any time we came in. I was so happy to hear that after not being able to get it at the IB location. When we went to the Del Mar location on 8/3 in the afternoon, I tried to order it and was told by the server, who was not at all friendly, that the kitchen was closed until 5:00pm and that we could only order off the Oyster Bar menu. Note that the online hours don't state that the "kitchen" hours are different than the "Oyster Bar" hours. Perhaps that explains why the woman over the phone stated that the stuffed shrimp can be ordered at any time. If this is true, I respectfully suggest they update the hours shown online. Quite disappointing that once again despite reassurances, I was not able to order my favorite thing on the menu that's always available at the La Mesa and downtown San Diego locations (regardless of the time) AND is also on the IB and Del Mar menus. Our server on 8/3 was not the least bit welcoming but everyone else was nice. He came by quickly enough upon us selecting our table but didn't bother to welcome us even or introduce himself and after 15-20 seconds of uncomfortable silence, he finally just asked if we wanted something. To his credit he did bring us what we ordered (except the shrimp of course!) fast enough but after that walked by our table many times and only stopped by once when we flagged him down and once after that to tell us he was leaving and that Gabby would be taking over....maybe hoping that we would close out right then so as not needing to share his tip with her. We were not done yet, so Gabby did take over and she was terrific; and quite a contrast to the original server whose name I never got. I'm a South County resident so not at all likely to return to the Del Mar Brigantine in the future especially knowing the shrimp might not be available. My final comments...and sorry for being so "wordy" here is that the doors facing the racetrack were wide open which let in the very warm and humid air so the ambiance was not comfortable. The restaurant itself is pleasantly clean and beautifully decorated.
