When we contacted Mr. Murphy to discuss these discrepancies, we did not receive a satisfactory explanation. He continued to reference specifications that did not match the septic system installed at the property, which only increased our concerns about the accuracy of the inspection. When making a major financial investment, buyers depend on inspectors to provide thorough, accurate, and reliable information. Unfortunately, the inconsistencies we found in this report undermined our confidence in its findings and ultimately contributed to our decision to walk away from the transaction. But he does the inspection and doesn't really want to talk about it until after he's done where he gives you a comprehensive review of everything he's found... I liked the style tho, it gave me a chance to really see the home past what I saw the 1st time and made me realize that I really love that home... But he found SEVERAL things that he could have missed if he was giving us an inspection the whole whole time... & then he emailed us a PDF with images and description of exactly what the problem was, which real estate agent also appreciated since he couldn't be there... He was patient as I asked many questions, and I never felt rushed. We decided to the home inspection on 05/13/24. On 05/12/24, it rained very hard, and I was concerned about the new house since it is located next to a drainage system. Fortunately, Mark was doing another home inspection in the area and dropped by to take some pictures for me, mind you, I did not even ask him to do so. He just thought it was a good idea to do so since he was in the area. He sent pictures and confirmed that the basement was not affected. I appreciate this so much as it gives me a peace of mind. On 05/13/24 Mark, my realtor, and I went to the house for the home inspection. Mark is very thorough and meticulous with everything. He took his time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. He even spent around 5 minutes on the roof to ensure there is no problem with it. He also did the radon test for me. I am extremely satisfied with the services provided by Mark. I highly recommend him.

They are based in Bowie and our future home is in St. Mary's county (we close in January 2023); so thank you for traveling so far. Before we entered the property he explained in full detail what to expect and how long it should take. He took great pictures and explained as he performed all tests. He took great and up close picture of the roof, he was under the house in the crawl space, in the attic, the backyard, garage.... he was everywhere. Our basement is unfinished so I didn't think we needed to spend that much time there...wrong. He informed us we needed more insulation and other bits of information. When the inspection was over he provided us with a home maintenance manual and information regarding a security system because the previous owners did not have one. The inspection report was emailed to us very quickly. FYI, Earle Johnson is certified to work with NACA. If you purchase a home via NACA, you know they have very high standards.
