Although pricey, everything was super high quality and delicious. Sweet porridge was just right, not overly sweet. And being a coffee snob from the San Francisco Bay Area, drip coffee is always the best barometer of a coffee place for me and they nailed it. Strong but not too strong. I love that their iced coffee starts off cold so it doesn't get watered down. You would think this would be a pretty general concept but sadly it's not at some local coffee places. Also the kale salad is totally on point and one of the best that I've ever had. Now for why I'm not giving this place five stars. I walked in at 11 AM by myself on a weekday with a laptop bag and ordered coffee and food "for here." It was obvious that I planned to work. There was no sign indicating that the wireless was down and the barista did not tell me either. It was only when I sat down at my space and got organized that I realized I couldn't pick out the right Wi-Fi signal. I asked the barista for the Wi-Fi information just in case it was hidden or something and he said it was down, sorry. He did say they were trying to get someone to come fix it but it would've been helpful for there to be a sign on the door. I then had to pack up all my stuff and switch my order to "to go." We were a group of 8 and we were very excited about coming for a light snack. Besides the odd ordering system the amount of time it took to bring out the food was ridiculous. Considering we ordered bread butter and some smoked salmon. We will not be coming back on our next visit. read more

Not a dinner spot. Tried it for the first time and had such high hopes! My wife ordered the fish sandwich w/ potato salad and I had the falafel. The sandwich was ok and the potato salad was as well. The falafel were extremely dense and lacked any sort of flavor. Everything would have been sooo much better if salt would have been added to both dishes. Salt being absent ruined what could have been amazing. Also, the beers are quite expensive and the lack of clear pricing isn't fun, it's not exciting being surprised by a bill at a casual restaurant. read more

Happened upon Steadfast while walking around Germantown and was pleasantly surprised how great a random place that I've never heard of a could be!! Nashville has a bunch of other great coffee shops (Barista Parlor, Crema, etc.) but I was really impressed with this place. They're keeping it simple but doing it right, and the space is beautiful to boot! Highly recommend stopping by if you are a coffee enthusiast. read more

Steadfast Coffee is located in the The Skillery (shared workspace) in Germantown. Signage to Steadfast makes it confusing for a minute, but dig down, find this place. Once you find the coffee counter on the right side of the The Skillery, you will fall in love with the ascetics. Minimalistic. The use of wood counters, siding, and cork coasters is wonderful. No clutter! Ah! My ADHD mind can focus on the good things: Steadfast Coffee and my MacBook! Love. It. The menu is espresso, drip, and tea. Ah! Lovely. The two proprietors were there. One was manning the counter and the other was working on his computer. They are cool studs as they were friendly and love coffee. I couldn't decide from their recommendations and finally said, "Make me a drink. I will drink it." I was served a "Butterscotch de del Gris" which is a latte with a sexy hint of butterscotch. These guys make all the syrups in house and this one was perfect. Like totally. It wasn't a dessert drink as Americans have come to love syrupy sweet coffee. Not here. It's a coffee drink with a touch of goodness. Nice job. Rumor on the street is that these fellows started their own pop-up coffee after their stints at Crema. Well, who knows, I didn't ask. I liked them and I really liked their drinks. Their presence on a insta-social network offers great pics of their work and the staff. Pretty cool place and drinks. Steadfast is a great addition to the neighborhood and one that was really needed! Friendly staff concocting great drinks with high quality coffees roasted in Seattle and Colorado. The butterscotch latte and coffee soda are both standouts. Their pastries are a delicious complement, especially the raspberry and peach hand pie. They offer beer as well for the pm shift and a food menu which I haven't tried but intend to! This is a regular stop for me. Highly recommended. read more

The matchless coffee soda is everything here! The butterscotch latte is a close 2nd when I'm wanting to indulge but the coffee soda is light, refreshing and caffeinated! I'm not a fan of the food here though. I tried the egg sandwich and I didn't like the bun or the taste of the sandwich. I haven't tried anything else because nothing else ever jumps out at me. There is generally not a long wait time and the staff is friendly. The coffee menu can be a little intimidating if it's your first time but I usually just tell them what I'm looking for and they give me recommendations. Steadfast is a boon for the Germantown/Salemtown area and I'll definitely be giving them more of my business. read more

Steadfast coffee is a cute little place, with an "off the beaten path" vibe. The food was delicious (I got the porridge & my friend got the eggs benedict). It took a few minutes to get our coffee orders in, but I ordered the coffee soda, which was as unique as it was delicious. The food and drinks are way overpriced. $14 for an iced coffee and small bite to eat. They make their iced coffee by brewing hot first and then doing a "quick chill" process, which in the end just made the iced coffee taste sour/old. The wait time for food is a bit long, not a quick grab and go option for lunch, and $9 for the portion size seemed steep. The baristas are friendly enough, however when the cash register tablet came to the page to ask for my phone number for rewards points the woman behind the counter spun the machine around and closed the screen before I even had a chance to put in my information... so i guess since i can't redeem frequent customer rewards, and i know it exists, i really don't have a reason to go back. I've made this a regular spot to work and meet up with friends. I've never been super early but have enjoyed much of their menu. First, coffee is superb. They have a well trained and friendly staff serving excellent coffee. You can tell they put effort and thought into their coffee program. A few stand outs are the Matchless coffee soda, it's freakin delicious! I don't care if it's getting cold I'll still be ordering that. The duo is a nice option, espresso and drip. Pastries have been great, my favorite is the banana caramel muffin. Food? Killer! Again, thought out. It's not just some line cool back slinging something, fresh, local ingredients that are well balanced and creative.
