    Hotcakes With Scrapple
    Shaina F.

I'd give like 3.5 stars not a bad experience but not 4 stars worth Ordered food to go, it was done pretty quickly maybe 15 minutes max. Price isn't bad. Tried the 3 hotcakes and scrapple, it was good, nothing special but no issues. Scrapple cut very thin. I also ordered a side of home fries, it was enough for multiple people. Husband had French toast and bacon and a side of grits, his words, "it was aight."

Stopped by because I wanted quick breakfast. Service carried the meal. I got French toast and eggs. Was fine, no complaints. Servers were really nice. Enjoyed chatting with them.

Went there today for some lunch. Ordered the Tuna Melt wanted something quick. Order took about 12 minutes. And I also ordered a steak in a sac. Waited until I got home to open it up. Tried the steak sac it comes with lettuce and tomato with a side of mayo. It's a half pita stuffed with what kind of steak idk. Not a great cut but it is rather large and a little salty. No cheese some cheese would have made it a lot better. The tuna Melt turned out to be soggy after being in the box and I don't live that far away. It too was a little salty whoever was cooking today likes to over salt the food. Because there was another lady there that sent her potatoes back because they were too salty. It's a hit or miss sometimes pretty sure I'll go back.

Italian sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich and home fries side

Ordered here for the first time using DoorDash. It was fine. Sandwich was sloppily thrown together and a bit greasy but it met the intent and was decent tasting (you can't go too wrong with cutting an Italian sausage in half, putting a slice of cheese on top and putting that in an English muffin. BUT - I have seen easier things done wrong). The home fries were kind of dry, felt stale, and it just had some caramelized onions thrown on top. Wasn't a huge fan. Was also craving chocolate cake. I didn't think it was anything special but again.... met its need and my craving. Delivery was quick via DoorDash so I'll know where to go if I need a quick breakfast sandwich.

Service and food was good. The links were bigger than what I realized, so will not get the extra links. The f.toast was good, but I will ask for extra cinnamon. I'll be back. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

    Arabian omelette in a "sack"!

It's great to go to a local spot and it's obvious that the staff really wants to be there. The staff give Steak in a Sack lots of life. They're friendly and attentive, and it's apparent that they like their jobs. The Arabian Omelette was well made, and is definitely a novel idea for sure. I'll be back next time I'm in the area, even if for just a cup of coffee.

    What a cool place!

One of my favorite places in the DMV area! The chip beef on toast is out of this world! It is my favorite. Their homemade bread is to die for and their home fries are stellar. The sweet tea has a nice balance with the bitterness of tea and a touch of sweetness. I try to go here once a month.

    Food I got.

Service is slow. Food is decent. I've been once and waited 45 minutes for a steak and cheese. I ordered Uber Eats and got the wrong food. They were unwilling to correct or give a refund. The title didn't match the picture and description but the manager acted as if it was my fault.

Steak in the sack sandwich! Nasty meat tough, burnt and sloppy. Avoid this place. Needs a visit from the health department.

The steak was flavorful, the entire meal was really good, and I would definitely order it again. For my toddler, we ordered the kids' waffle with fruit. My only small suggestion would be to offer a protein option with the kids' meal to make it a little more complete. It wasn't a big issue for us since I was able to share some of my food with him. The service was wonderful! Our server was quick, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is such a cute little spot with a nice atmosphere. It's a fast paced environment, so for the food to be this good left me in awe ( I salute their chef !! ) I started out with the crab stuffed oysters. And I almost ended right there because this appetizer was just that good ( I contemplated ordering two more servings for my meal ) the crab is more like a dip, with a cheesy sauce loaded on top of an oyster ( the best I have tasted for sure ) and when coupled with the ritz style cracker... I had to calm my tastebuds down !!! And for my entree I tried the M & T smash burger with fries and this kept my tastebuds doing its own version of a touchdown dance ( absolutely a 10 out of 10 !! ) Matt and Tony's you have a loyal customer for life ( see you next weekend !! )

We eyed it the night before while driving into National Harbor, and thought it would be an ideal place to go - so off we went. Silver Diner is a chain with several locations in the MDV area. It wasn't crowded when we arrived shortly after 8am, so we were seated right away. The space is large with a combination of booths, tables, and a counter - very typical diner. There was a hint of retro vibes here, and as a whole the space looked great. Like many a diner, the menu is extensive with a variety of cuisines. The breakfast selections were pretty standard, but we noticed they offered some specials on weekdays that consisted of a breakfast dish, coffee, and juice. We all decided to order a special - and I went with the jack cheddar cheese omelette. I had a choice of meat to add (I went with sausage), and the dish also came with hash browns and a biscuit. The food itself was good - solid diner fare. The reason why I'm giving such a low rating is that there were major breakdowns in service. Coffee service was relatively slow, we did not get any juice nor were we asked to order it despite being part of the specials we ordered, my colleague wasn't offered any breakfast meat with her dish despite it being advertised as it being included, and my dish was served with a side of fruit instead of hash browns. These were fixed, but there was just a multitude of misses that really impacted the meal. Perhaps we came on a bad morning, but my experience at Silver Diner wasn't the best. I would consider giving them another shot, but I'm not running back.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!

They were playing a mix of R&B that included T-Pain, Snoh Allegra, Musiq Soulchild, and Bruno Mars to name a few. They had beautiful paintings of various influential figures in Black art and culture on the walls, and upcoming events shown on a screen behind the bar which I especially appreciated (They have karaoke on Thursdays!) For a cup that size, I think two shots would have made a much better Americano. They did offer to add an extra shot, which I appreciated, but I think the espresso-to-water ratio could definitely be adjusted. It came nicely presented with a very good coleslaw and a biscuit with a side of bacon-flavored gravy. The mac and cheese was okay but the macaroni underneath the surface didn't have a lot of flavor. The chicken's seasoning and texture were fine, but I really wish when a restaurant says they have fried chicken it's more than just a filet, like actual bone-in meat. But Chadwick's just does a filet as so many other places do these days. The server forgot my clam chowder starter and it didn't come out until after I had already received my chicken. The eggs and ham I ordered on the side were pretty standard. - BYOB: The rosemary potatoes and turkey side were AWESOME! The turkey was juicy and very flavorful, and an unexpected surprise. The eggs and English muffins were pretty standard. -HomeGrown coffee cake: For $6.5, we were happy with the size of the slice. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. We were really happy with our server, the cleanliness of the restaurant (and even the bathroom!), and the ambiance. It was very cute and well-decorated, and I can see it being a great spot for many occasions. It wasn't too loud despite it being pretty full.
