My boyfriend and myself were in there last night. It was the worst experience we have had at this location. Three people looked at us and ignored us before someone decided to seat us. Once we were seated things went okay until we wanted to order shakes to go because we had somewhere to be. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, I stood up to ask someone what was going on. Our waitress went up to the window snd asked for them to make them. She never put the order in. We had already paid for everything. Needless to say, we never got our shakes, and we left. Oh, Steak & Shake... I had to write a review on this place because it holds a special place in my heart. I used to drive way out to this place all the time with my friend Courtney. Part of the experience, for us, was the drive out there. The food here is yummy too, though! I'd eaten at Steak N Shake in other cities (Chicago, and I've eaten at the newer one in Midwest City, OK), but this one is the one I visited the most. The side-by-side chocolate/banana shake is SO yummy and worth the calories. Their burgers seem fairly lean & the fries are fresh tasting. It's way better than most fast food places, but also a smidge pricier than some of them (but not by much). There aren't any Steak N Shakes near me, but if I'm ever back in OK I usually try and make a trip at LEAST for the shakes! read more

Did you know they serve the drive-thru first? That means the drive thru trumps the dine -in order and is moved ahead even if the dine-in ordered first. Horrible policy!! I can't believe they have functioned this long on such a STUPID policy. Friendly staff though. read more

My wife & I ate there yesterday. 3 couples that were seated after us received their orders before we did. In fact, the waitress tried to bring us somebody else's order & we had to tell her it was not ours. Finally, my wife's burger came but was lukewarm & her fries were too. It had been sitting in the window waiting for my Club Sandwich which came out 3 to 4 minutes later. I will not be back to eat here. Sorry but S&S is competing with only a few other restaurants as THE worst place to eat, ever. We've tried it twice in Tulsa and once somewhere in Missouri, each time with horrible food and hands down the worst service ever. Stopped at this Steak N Shake in May of 2011 and we (3 total) had an early morning breakfast. The portions were plentiful, the server was kind and quick, and the food was above average. The total bill was right at $15.00; which for that much food is more than reasonable. read more

I also used to work at this SNS lcoation, and I have to disagree with user Marlana N.'s review. While no job is perfect, I cannot identify with a single statement this reviewer made. I enjoyed my employment with SNS, but I left to go to school full-time. I still eat there when in the area. I also find her review to be at odds with the publicly published inspections from the Tulsa Health Department. We employees eat there, too! We don't want filth and disorder where our food is prepared. Perhaps her review has a bit more to do with how her employment ended rather than any factual occurrence - I am only speculating, of course. But I loved the food, and I worked hard so that my wonderful customers would tip me well and I was never once asked or encouraged by management to falsify any records. Of course, if such a thing were true, I imagine I would file a complaint with the labor board rather than put it on Yelp where it has little to do with a guest's experience, which is the point of YELP! I recommend the Strawberry and Banana side-by-side shake and adding cheese sauce to your fries. Enjoy your meal, and don't forget to ask for a paper hat for the little ones! read more

Food is good but service is an absolute joke. 20 minutes and counting waiting for a sofa refill and my son still doesn't have his shake and he has already finished eating... If are going to hire high school kids I suggest you hire ones that won't spend all their time bullshitting with their friends instead of doing their job. read more

This place was horrible. My boyfriend and I used to go to the one in Tulsa before it closed down, so we figured we'd try the one in broken arrow. Big mistake. We walked, had to wait like 10 minutes because the tables were filled with dirty dishes (and they never got cleaned). So they found us a table, next to another dirty table with nothing but piled up dishes and trash. I'd understand if they were short staffed and busy. But they weren't. There were multiple tables opened but they were dirty. From what I saw, there were quite a few people working. However a few of them just stood around talking and giving people dirty looks. We decided that we're just gonna leave, and it was only then that someone decided to clean ONE table. I love steak n shake, but this one is disgusting. read more

By far the worst "fast" food place I have every eaten. Pulled into the drive thru at 12:05 with one car in front of me. Instead of making the idiot in front of me pull around after specifying the position of his tomatoes, exactly how many french fries he wanted and apparently cancelling his drink choice twice, I had to sit behind him while my order was sitting in a sack inside. At 12:30, I was handed my bag of cold food by the most unapologetic, worthless customer service person I have experienced in a long time. This place sucks! read more

Only gave 1 star because I had to. We went in today in hopes that we would have a different result than ALL past results at Steak N Shake and sadly I was extremely disappointed again! First we were sat promptly, you could tell they were having a meeting of some sort - we sat there for at least 5 minutes to have no one come even say hello, two more tables were sat and greeted and we still were not greeted. Finally the hostess asked if we had been taken care of, I advised her we had not. The server came, took our drink and food order brought the drinks, then the food and then we did not see her again. No refills, no asking if everything was ok... no shakes afterwards... nothing. We left wanting shakes but decided not to give them anymore money... I have served in many many restaurants and actually left her nothing for a tip. Nothing. Something I have NEVER done. My family and I will not be back. read more

It's gone pretty far downhill since we use to go here all of the time. This time the waiter didn't come take our drink order until 10 minutes after we were seated. Then our food sat up on the counter for an additional 15 minutes after it was done. We got our food 20 minutes after ordering. Then came check out, by this time my husband was already running late getting back to work so I went up to check out so he could leave. Wish I was kidding but everyone who works there looked over at me and the other man standing there waiting to be check out and they would just look away like they didn't want to be the ones to check anyone out. Place wasn't even busy! I Stood there so long that I started to think about just leaving which is something I've never done. Finally someone probably read my mind and came up to get us checked out! I have eaten at Steak & Shakes for over 30 years and in many different states. We stopped in the Broken Arrow location and this is by far the worst meal I have ever had in my life. I ordered chili 3 way and it was so greasy. I said something to the waitress and she brought me crackers to soak up the grease. It was horrible. The cheeseburger I ordered was dripping with grease. 2 of the children with us ordered mini sliders and they were like rubber. When we asked the manager (Ann) to take off the chili 3 way and the sliders she made a comment that we were trying to get a free meal and refused to credit our bill. And just so you know- we ordered 6 meals and only asked for credit for the chili and sliders. When a restaurant can serve you horrible food and still charge you for it I guess its a WIN WIN for them. I will never ever stop at this location again and will seriously have to think about eating at any Steak & Shake again. read more
