Wow, I hadn't been to Steak n Shake since before Covid. They seem to have made some changes and for the better. I ordered the $4 double steak burger and shake meal. One of the best burgers I've ever had here. I remember in the past that this location was SLOW... but on my visit the drive thru was fast and the food was hot and fresh. Love that they had free fries. I was a little disappointed with the Jr shake that they are giving with this offer. They need to specify on the signage what size the shake is, maybe I would've ordered something different. Overall I was satisfied with everything including my service at the window.

This is one of the dirtiest restaurants that I have even been in. There was trash all over the floor. Multiple tables were sitting filthy. There were fries under every table that we could see from our seat. We will never eat here again. EDIT: The food was good and the staff was very nice. No complaints there. The facilities were quite disappointing though.

This place is the reason Steak 'n Shakes are closing all over the country. Terrible service. Dirty dining tables and multiple areas that need cleaning. Health violations in the open. Notice the rack sitting over the open refrigerator of hamburger. Understaffed and workers that don't care about their jobs.

Its sad wjen you go out and leave hungry especially after waiting for your food for so long. They were kinda busy but it quickly died down but we were still waiting. I asked for a couple of more pickles and got a plate full the wife paid for chicken tenders and got 3 nuggets just a little smaller in length then the salt shaker for 5.00 from a place known for their value

Takes forever to get food in a drive thru. Lines unnecessarily long even though staff should be prepared on a Friday night. Garbage

We were greeted by our server, Angel, who was friendly with just the right amount of sarcasm -- quick-witted and fun, never over the line. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was definitely filling up, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed. The space itself is dimly lit, nicely decorated, and has a bit of an upscale feel without being stuffy. The menu offers a solid variety, from appetizers and salads to burgers, poultry, seafood, and steaks. Instead of bread, they start you off with house-made pickles, which I personally loved -- as a pickle fan, I didn't miss the bread at all. For my meal, I went with the 1977 Burger, ordered medium rare, topped with sautéed mushrooms, a fried egg, Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. At Ted's you can choose beef or bison, and I went with the bison. I also added a side of horseradish mayo, which really took the burger up a notch. The burger comes with fresh-cut fries or a side, and they offer a half fries, half onion rings option -- an easy choice for me. My wife went a bit more upscale with a filet, cooked medium well, and chose asparagus and Parmesan broccoli for her sides. She brought a cake to celebrate both birthdays, so we skipped dessert, but Angel surprised us with a couple of complimentary bowls of ice cream to go with the cake, which was a really nice touch. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because my wife's steak initially came out undercooked and her sides were cold. That said, once it was sent back, everything came out hot, cooked correctly, and she really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very good dining experience with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Ted's Montana Grill for a nice night out and would happily return.

But what really takes this place to the next level is equally as impressive service and food. This was a birthday brunch for my wife and they were very accommodating to move our seats close to the window and away from the dining room's centrally located fountain - sparring us occasional sprinkles of splashing water and helping us see the surrounding views of Easton. The brunch menu is small and simple but very well done. If you're inclined to dismissively think, "how good can thin pancakes, a Benedict and bacon/eggs/potatoes and sourdough be," think again. The answer is very good! We also appreciated the complimentary candlelit chocolate chip cookie that the restaurant provided to celebrate the occasion.

This one didn't offer one, which was a general disappointment (and offering to be might benefit them-- the place was dead for most of the two hours we were there). The space is beautiful and luxurious: a lovely fountain is in the center and signature chandeliers fill the dining area. I was a little disappointed that the choices of seating were were given -- though the place was empty-- was either a very small table (so small our servers apologized for having to awkwardly stack things as dishes came out) or a table attached to the only other large party dining there. Felt like a very strange choice. Also, while the place is very upscale and very expensive, that vibe was somewhat at odds with other diners who did arrive in what literally looked like old pajama pants and workout gear. The food was all good, but portions are very small for the big prices: entrees are all in the $50 range, sandwiches in the $30 range. A "petite" baked potato (which is petite indeed) was $14; burrata was $26. It was fine, but you can have a true consistently upscale experience elsewhere for those kinds of prices. I'd come back -- if there was a happy hour!

The shrimp is indeed jumbo however the mango chutney can be skipped. The mango was not ripe and lacked flavor. We requested medium rare for both steak. The ribeye is definitely a notch above the NY strip however, the steak temperature was leaning closer to medium. The side dishes' portions are very generous but a bit too salty. We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.
