This place is a burger place I went to because I didn't want to eat your "everyday " type burger. The cheeseburgers are good and tasty but the fries to me were to small, they serve those shoestring fries and you may want to eat there if you want it hot and fresh, by the time I got home and I live very close the fries were COLD and so I didn't even eat them. They carry Coke products, so a coke it was! If you want to change it up and not get a McDonald's or Wendy's burger, then this is the ideal place to go to. They do keep the place clean and there is a local bus stop close by as well. read more

Stopped here after my hair appointment for one of their $4 meals through the drive-thru....first time at this location and I am not impressed. I ordered the single steak burger w/bacon (#16 I believe) with everything besides pickles and then a side of onion rings, as well as a half priced vanilla milkshake. Came to the window and they took quite awhile to give me my food and you would think it's because they were making everything fresh. Not. The burger was cold, cheese not even melted, and it had pickles. Bleh. The fries and onion rings were cold as well. What can I say? this is another Steak 'n Shake. Best thing about these places are their milkshakes, which literally take FOREVER to get. This location is right on the outside of the Easton loop, located next to Donatos at Morse Crossing. The inside is still somewhat crowded, as if they expect the cram more people in there than what capacity is. Their food is okay at best - nothing exciting to gush about. Best thing is their milkshakes! But the problem is that it takes so long to get them. We got and ate our entire meals before milkshakes even showed up at the table. Don't bother!!!The store says 24 hours but after walking a mile to get there we came to the front door which was locked with a handwritten sign saying closed. No reason, lights all on, just closed. I'm basing my review on the fact that this is a fast food restaurant with wait staff. I've been to Steak and Shake (including this location) a few times over the years. This particular visit I made the horrible mistake of ordering the spaghetti with chili, cheese and onions (similar to what you would get at Skyline Chili). Words cannot describe how horrible it was. Some of the noodles were cold, while others were hot. Parts of the chili were code and others were hot. It was as if they stuck it in a broken microwave and didn't heat it thoroughly. I sat there debating about whether I should send it back, complain, say something to avoid having to pay for it or get something else. But when I realized that my waitress who had made it clear she did not care about working there or providing me with any type of assistance, I just gave up and paid my bill and left. When I asked for a drink to go I quickly shot a dirty look by the waitress cashing me out. She proceeded to yell across the restaurant at my waitress and instructed her to get me a drink. A burger and shake, how could you go wrong. Yes, it goes wrong in many ways. Upon entering I feel the grease floating in the air and see it on everything. The wait staff is always horrible but today, it was rather unexpected. It was great service. The shakes feel like I am eating a large soft serve ice cream with toppings. The fries are dry and thin. The burger was cooked on a greasy grill top and that is yum all the way. Melted cheese and colorful lettece and tomato on top. That is why this place gets 2 stars. Sooooooooooooooooo dirty!!! My son & I walked in yesterday around 7:30pm. After some hard core shopping at Easton we needed a shake!! We walked in and the first thing I noticed was that they were not busy but had hardly any clean tables. Stacks and stacks of dishes and trash littered the tables (EWWWWW). We get seated at 1 of the very few clean tables. The server was very nice and took our order promptly. He even brought us waters without us having to ask. When the shakes arrive he asked who had which, the only thing was is that he confused the shakes. The one he said was the Snickers Shake was actually the Reese's Peanut Butter Shake and vice versa and because my son is a germaphobe, once I took a drink & realized they were confuses he wasn't switching because I had contaminated the shake. Awful service and completely uncaring staff. Went there at 8pm on a Friday and they had only 1 waitress and the shift manager. While waiting for someone to actual acknowledge our existence we watch 4 tables get up and leave due to bad service. There were 7 tables that needed bussed and had flys around the food left on the table. Waitress finally came over took our drink and food order. It took a long time to get our order and that was the last time we saw our waitress. When paying the bill at the end the "manager" said "thanks for staying I'm surprised you did" I then told him ya I'm surprised too. There are several reviews talking about the long waits for food and cleanliness (or lack thereof). I guess people don't understand that this isn't fast food (they even have signs stating as much in the drive thru). Everything is made to order. When you go there at 2:00am, after the bars let out, you're going to run into a busy restaurant. The drive thru can take 20-30 minutes. It's not like the staff are sitting around doing nothing. Yes, some tables don't get bussed and the floors may not be swept. Show a little empathy for the servers and cooks who are working hard. They can be short staffed so don't blame them. I digress...I've been coming to this location since they opened. Their food has always been good and made with fresh ingredients. I recommend the steak burgers and shakes. I also love the shoestring fries (hint, get a side of cheese sauce for dipping - it's not on the menu but it's great). The star comes off because they discontinued a sandwich I loved (chicken Frisco Melt) and when I tried to order one as a specialty item I was told they can't do it. You can't make a Frisco Melt with chicken instead of beef and add bacon to it? I was told corporate won't let them, which doesn't seem right considering everything on their menu is customizable. Anyway, if you're looking for solid burgers and fries you could do a lot worse. If you want everything immediately there's a McDonalds next door. read more

One waitress handling the whole dining room and cash registers. She was ignoring everyone especially those not her race. Many walked out after being completely ignored. And to be fair.....I can recall one pleasant visit where the burger and service were good - but unfortunately the last couple of visits weren't the same experience. Service is four out of five times, not just bad but "wtf is going on here" bad. Ex. I honestly think the employees have a game to see how long they can let folks stand at the door waiting to get seated (mind you - plenty of tables) as they walk around and pretend not to see.....then the same game when its time to pay the check. You will at least have plenty of time to figure out what you want before your order is taken but forget refills all together. Beans in the chili on the chili cheese dog killed it for me. Another problem is how do you compare a four star experience at a fast food joint to a four star experience at a steakhouse? Went with daughter for lunch. They were surprisingly busy for a Monday afternoon at 2:00. She had the double cheese and had no complaints. Joined mid day Saturday with the family. The other 6 people in the party had already ate. They transferred us to a bigger table once we showed up. Then the server disappears for 5 minutes... finally comes back and takes food and drink orders.... (which food was just one sandwich and 6 milkshakes, 6 waters fyi) Then doesn't approach the table again till after the sandwich is already delivered! Still never got the waters at all during the visit. Love the location and even though it is not a big place, the staff are never prepared and act like they can not handle it. Really bad service. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the food came out quickly. Our shakes, however, did not. These were finally given to us 15 minutes AFTER we were done eating. I had an absolutely awful experience here! There were 10-12 young people loitering in the restaurant. They acted as if it were there personal hang out. I did not notice any of them buying food. They were using foul language in front of my granddaughters. Had to wait too long for everything. After waiting a few minutes to be seated, the manager said she would be right with us. We waited some more, and she never helped us. Another woman seated us. We had to get our own menus. We ordered our food and glasses of water. It took forever to get our waters. Food, however, didn't take a ridiculous amount of time to come out. My had husband ordered the turkey club without mayonnaise, and then my husband was served a turkey club WITH mayo. We didn't mention anything because we didn't want to have to wait an eternity for another sandwich with no mayo. We were also given a bottle of ketchup with god-knows-what-kind-of slime on the bottle. No one was at the cash register when I went to pay. Waited in drive-thru line 15 minutes because of Covid. When I got to the window, I was told it is store policy not to take 100 dollar bills. A 100 dollar bill is all that I had. That's fine. If I could give less stars, I would. My experience at this location was awful. I love Steak 'n Shake but I will never return here. my boyfriend and I walked in and the " please wait to be seated" sign was out. We waited a good 5 minutes before a lady yelled that she would be with us in a minute. We stood there ( no one else in line ) yet another 5 minutes before she asked if we were there for a pick up order. We told her "no" & that they have a " please wait to be seated sign". She chuckled but said " you waited there that whole time to be seated? You can seat yourselves". Every single time I've been to this location ( many times, but not in years) we had always been seated. We sat ourselves in the far back small booth next to the restrooms Bc it was the only one available that was the slightest bit clean. We sat there for 10 minutes. No one ever came to bring us menus, ask if we want drinks, take our orders, or tell us to go screw ourselves. I watched them grab menus and seat a couple that had come in far after us. And that point I had had enough. We got up & left. I told my boyfriend to go through the drive through Bc I WOULD be getting a banana shake. We were the only ones in the drive through and it took them a very long time to get our food even then. And the boy/man on the other end of the speaker had attitude in his voice & sounded very rude.
