This Steak and Shake needs franchise management training to serve the public. Men's restroom was dirty and needs new sink and faucets. Noted service was slow from other reviews. Today it was also slower that other S and S'she we've patronized. But wait staff was competent and courteous. Overall sense reviews are being listened to by owners. Just a ways to go yet. read more

Here for dinner with my kids. Wait time to be seated wasn't outrageous. It's Friday they're busy Food was served quick. Burgers were great. Fries were kind of cold. Placed order for shakes with our food... 50 minutes later were still waiting for shakes. Can't even say it's because they're busy anymore. Empty tables galore. read more

#1 crappiest service award goes to this Stake'n Shake. We were sat right away then another table was sat about 3 mins later They ordered, got their drinks, and that's when we finally flagged down a waitress. She took our shake order. The we waited, waited and waited some more. About 20mins in some more people filtered in and were sat, waited on, and received their shakes, still before we got ours. The other servers were picking up on how irritated we were getting so they began to talk about us behind the half wall, which they apparently thought was a 1 way mirror that we couldn't possibly see or hear them through. By the time we got our shakes and after all the dirty looks from the staff I was worried that they did something to our shakes. We won't be back. read more

The workers look like they are just standing around. They're wearing dirty clothes, and walked in to half the tables being dirty. Took forever to get seated but saw workers being unoccupied. I also found hair in my water! They need to hire people who will WORK. There was one lady who was running around because no one else was working. The food was ok. The customer service was not so good. My bill was not correct and had to get a manager to change it, he seemed to be very inconvenienced and just rude. Customer service is a huge part that makes up the quality of a restaurant and this restaurant has had horrible customer service not the first time I've been there everyone just seems to be in their own world and not helpful and stuck up in inconvenience that we are even there. read more

Was very disappointed in service or lack of..... was taken to our table by a young girl who mumbled something to herself, the booth seats had milkshake and water all over them in which no one bothered to come over as we stood there waiting to be able to sit at our booth. No one ever came to us to ask why we hadn't sat down or to wait on us, so we left, in which case no one even noticed us leaving. Will never go back.... Horrible! We waited almost TWO HOURS for our food. Waitresses were chitchatting in the back corner, while people were waiting to be seated, and tables that could be cleared sat dirty despite their customers waiting to be seated! Our waitress never came to refill drinks or check on us. It was like everyone could only do one task at a time, which is totally not conducive to the restaurant business. Floors were disgusting - greasy film and food on them. It was like everyone was in slow motion. The only person moving with any passion was Will. After seeing our frustration, Will checked on us and checked in on our order (which was then the next ticket in line) - I should hope so...after waiting that long. I asked Will if he was the manager and he said no. I did tell him that he should be because he was the only one moving adequately enough to have a heartbeat! This was a Saturday night around 6 pm (every table had people with the exception of the dirty ones waiting to be bused) but still NO EXCUSE for the slow service!!! At checkout I noticed that the person at cash register was "manager in training". Boy do they need management...but even he had no expression and didn't ask us how our meal/service was. If it was possible to give a negative score, this place deserves one! The 'waitress' was so busy playing with a baby that she couldn't remember to respond to simple requests for eating utensils, napkins, and the bill. When we attempted to address the issue with the manager, he was very nonchalant and indifferent. We have eaten in numerous Steak 'n Shakes, and this was, by far, the worst! They should either find some competent staff abd management, or CLOSE. read more

The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because there isn't a negative star. This place is absolutely terrible. Worst Steak N Shake that we have even been too. Our first experience was terrible and this time (our 2nd chance) was even worst. The waitress lied to us about our food. They ran out of ice and sweet tea. After waiting over 45 minutes we ask about the food she gives us a BS excuse that the chicken needed to be thawed before it could be cooked. Come to find out she never put the order in and lied to us. We waked out and rudely explained our situation to the manager. He expressed no concern. Absolutely ridiculous. I got my shake fast and the service was great but good took forever and came out messy

I really had trouble eating here. Walking in I notice the parking lot littered with a lot of trash. Once I was inside, the floor and tables looked about like the parking did. There were 4 people dining, and the hostess had trouble finding a clean table to sit us, we were finally seated at a table covered with dirty napkins and straw wrappers. Food was mediocre. I would stay away from here, maybe go to a gas station and buy a 2 week old sandwich to eat. read more

Hey manager! Tell your staff you can't clean a floor with dirty cold water. And, if I were you manager, I would not be fooled by the yellow placards exclaiming caution wet floor as affirmation the floor has been mopped. I you need to to is walk across the floor, look down to see the crude, grease, and the sticky patches. If level of cleanliness is okay for you to present to the diners; I'd hate to see your back room. The two stars are for the server. I would give the food 2 stars as well. But, if you have a weak stomach find a different place to dine. read more

This is the worst steak and shake I have every been to in my life. The food was cold and seemed to be stale. I asked for barbecue sauce exactly 7 times before getting some which then had pieces of tomatoes in it. The floor was stickier than glue and the tables and chairs were dirty. The service was awful and we waited quite a while for our food and drinks. If there was a lower rating I could have choose for this restaurant I would have chosen it. read more

Waited behind 2 other cars that were asked to pull up ahead of me blocking the parking lot all together, upon that stress I waited 20+ minutes to get my food, drove home 5 minutes later, then bit into a large double patty burger with 2 ice cold meat patties. Disastrous. I have eaten here 12 times in the past four years and every time I go, I am reminded why I don't go more frequently. The food usually takes upwards of 45 minutes to cook, no matter what time of the day I attend. The food itself isn't terrible, at least, but there is always something wrong with it. Two guests in my party of four got the wrong meals entirely, and waited another 45 minutes for their remakes, which were also questionable. I was also charged for the extra two remakes. The servers did not ever walk by our booth to check up on our meals. read more

My granddaughter and I went in for breakfast while doing some back to school shopping. It took 45 min to finally get our over easy eggs and bacon, and they were cold! Place was not busy, only 3 other tables were there. My husband tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after I told him about our experience before. Again, they were not busy. The waitress took our order, and as we sat waiting 25 minutes, we noticed people being served that came in after us. My husband saw our order sitting in the window for several minutes, and heard the waitress ask if it was ok to bring out what they had ready, so she brings us half of our incomplete order, cold! I will NEVER go to Steak and Shake again! This place usually has bad service, and tired of paying for overpriced bad service! read more

nice place...but wow is it dirty inside. the partitions separating the booths was filthy. if you sit up front at the tables, you can see all the dirt and finger smudges on the booths. the floor was pretty bad. bathroom was too. the waitress was very nice though. just looks like no one cares about the places to either clean it up or order new plates etc. i should have went to bw3 instead read more

The manager there is worthless. Used profanity directed toward customers. This location is terrible all around. Very dirty and the service sucks. Go to Burger King instead. The food is okay, but there is a consistent problem with service. It doesnt seem to matter which server you get, they are all just pretty bad. It takes a long time to get seated (despite open tables), and then once you are seated it takes 20 to 30 minutes (not exaggerating) before a server comes to take a drink order. There's another 15 to 30 minutes wait before you get the water, and longer if you get a shake. If you wait long enough for your food to arrive it is usually okay or good. Just don't hope for refills. Because it's a consistent problem every time we've come the problem appears to stem from bad management and no server training. Sick to the drive through. read more

the blonde waitress was hotter but the taco salad I ordered wasn't even really a taco salad from it was one of the worse taco salads I ever gotten because all it is in the bow is 90% salad and 10% meat not even good seasoned meat ill prob go back with co workers because one of them likes the waitress but im never getting that again read more

Just left this place.... We are from out of town and this is the worst Steak 'n Shake we have ever been to. Our drinks came out with our food. Not to mention the drinks were wrong. We ordered our shakes as soon as we got our food and waited 45 mins for the shakes. The manager expressed no concern. Oh and also one of our plates had a guacamole stain on it after they had already forgotten that order. read more

The food was ok; our complaint was the service. Our server, Jill, apparently had too many tables. After taking our order and bringing our drinks, we could not get her attention. Another server brought our food. We had to flag down another server to get napkins and silverware. When we were finished eating, we had to flag down another server and eventually the manager, to get Jill to come back to take our order for shakes. When she came over, she snapped "What's the problem here?" No problem, just want to add to our order. Don't know why she snapped at us - we had had no contact with her. I ordered a shake, and my husband told her he wanted to try mine then place his order. It took about 15 minutes to get my shake. We then had to wait another 10 minutes to get her to come back to take his order. It took 20 minutes, and a request to the manager to get his. When it was delivered by the manager, it was obvious it had been sitting out for some time - the whipped cream was melted, the cherry had sunk down into the ice cream. It was ok, but not great. We never did get a check from her or any refills on our drinks. we had to go to the front and have them look it up. The restaurant was busy that day, but not crazy. Very disappointing. read more
