Actually I would give this place at a zero star. Place was filthy. Bathroom was discussing. No paper towels. Sign on paper towel dispenser saying "out of order". So tell me...how did staff wash their hands. Obviously they didn't when they were working. Tables around us weren't cleaned off...floor was filthy...never ....never...will I ever eat there again!! AWFUL!!!! Also we all ordered our shakes to go but when we got in the vehicle and started to pull away my friend tried her shakes which was suppose to be chocolate , it had peanut butter in it and she is allergic to peanut butter!!!! Crazy mistake and life threating!!! My husband and I ate this past winter at a steak and shake in Florida and it was great. But this place should be torn down. read more

Has to be the worst fast food place in the state of Ohio. Their machine coincidentally went down twice in the same night, after they guaranteed me it only shuts down once a night after the first time(I had to run home to get my wallet). 20 minutes later when I was finally able to place my order. one of the funniest things i have ever seen happened at this place. our server was pretty weird. rough around the edges. i was going to cash my check and i noticed a nerdy man coming up to the front counter to ask for something. he is approaching our former server who is behind the counter and they are about 4 feet away. the man says, "hey can we have some ketchup?". the server lets out a deep and wet cough inches away from the full plate of food in her hands that she is about to serve and says "what?". the look on the mans face is one i will never forget. he had forgot about his ketchup and was visibly concerned. i know his thoughts were nothing else besides "i really hope she didnt do this to my food". he walked away in fear read more

SUPER SLOW service through the drive thru!! I waited 30 mins for a shake (that wasn't mixed up all the way and wasn't what I ordered) and an order of fries. Got up to the window and watched 4+ employees walking around, laughing and having a good old time doing whatever ...EXEPT WORK! They couldn't even hear my horn over their music they had going but I could hear the girl joking around and cussing. I was upset about our wait but was just handed the food....no 'sorry about your wait' or even a 'thank you'. I keep trying to call to talk to a manager but they don't even pick up the phone. Took nearly 10 minutes to place a "to go" order. At one time there were three employees trying to use the register so one customer could pay. Could not tell that anyone was fixing anything. The woman before us got her food but not her drinks. She finally just left without them. At least one couple came in, was seated, but never had their order taken, got up and left. After waiting nearly one half hour for two shakes and a burger just asked (rather LOUDLY) for a refund and to be let out. The manager (I think) finally gave us a couple of shakes and a refund. It was great food overall, service wasn't great but the problem was, the chili cheese fries. DO NOT GET THE CHILI CHEESE FRIES, I promise you will be disappointed! There is no chili. It is just beans, nothing else I looked at the chili cheese fries and thought to myself "ew, beans and where's the chili?" I just scraped of the beans off (it was nerve racking) and ate the cheese fries that I payed more for. It is a waste of the extra money for 'chili' the cheese was good by itself. Steak and shake can be good. This location is horrendous. I've never gone there and have had them get my order completely correct. And they take forever to serve your food. It's too bad -- I get in the mood for steak and shake sometimes, but I never end up going because this place is the location near me. The only thing worse than the cold food is the service. There is no reason why it should take 25 minutes to get food when there are 10 people in the restaurant. Then when it comes, it's cold. The servers are inattentive. It would be one thing if the place was busy, but when we're the only table you have, it should not take 10 minutes for refills. The only redeeming quality is that the kids meals are free with adult meal on weekends. read more

Been coming here a while and the restaurant it self is good, but the staff is run horribly. They have very few decent servers, and the ones that are good are drastically over worked to to lazy staff, one server " shauna" is rude, slow, and just dirty, and you can tell she is yelling at co workers to pick up her own slack. Went to the drive thru for a Reg hot fudge sundae. Waited 25 minutes at least to get to the window. Got my HOT fudge sundae ice cream. The ice cream was completely melted... Terrible service. I expect food to take a while when it's cooked. Time's not the problem. Ordered a burger, seasoned fries, cup of soup & a shake. No soup. No seasoning. No shake. I asked about the soup... Said there wasn't any and asked if I'd like her to take it off my bill. I asked about the seasoning, she took the whole plate away while I had a bite in my mouth, shook some seasoning and brought it back. I asked her to remove the shake from my receipt since it never came. She said, "It might already be made. If it is, I can't take it off." I said, "I ordered it when I ordered all the rest of my food... If it's been made, throw it away and take it off my bill, please." She still checked with the manager... Who did take it off the bill and still made one fresh and fast for me. Tasty. However, I was planning to bring some food home to my nephew... The worst experience ever, the service is terrible, the food is terrible, we wait for almost five mins to have a waiter to take us to the table, the waiter saw us came and choose keep cleaning the tables and there are several clean empty tables are available, he just let us stand there and watch him wipe the table???and the waiter named Brandon or whatever is so rude, he just slide the menu on the table and left without asking what do we want for drink, and ten mins later he came back to get us to order our food. The food is TERRIBLE!! The hot chocolate is unmixed and I have to mix it up by myself. We ordered three meals and non of them are warm, they all cold and even have water under the spaghetti that have not mixed in with the sauce, the chilly sauce was spilled all over the plate on both order of spaghettis which is DISGUSTINGand the hot dog was burned, can't eat it with looking at them. We had good experiences before but not this time, I don't understand why you hired a dushbag to make people never want to come back again, the other table was complaining about the service as well, they never got their unsweetened tea. I've been here a few times and every experience I've had has been awful. I tell the waitress that I don't want onions on my burger and she brings it plain. Its now been 41 minutes and I still haven't received a refill or been asked if I'd like dessert. I haven't seen my waitress since I received my food. Good food but such lousy service, when in today about six people in restaurant took 35 mins to get a steakburger and fries and heaven forbid you order a shake you may or may not get it, it may be in a glass or go cup whichever THEY decide to put it in, you may get it at the table or as you are paying the bill at the cash register. Saw three people refuse their shakes while they were standing in line to pay their bill. Waitress is very unfriendly, very uncaring put your food on the table never come back to ask if you need anything or if the food is good or not and forget about refills. Arrived about 2:15 p.m. on 9/19/15. Busy, unorganized, the woman seating people seemed to be the only person who sort of knew what was going on. Our server, Tammy took our order and we saw her one other time in passing. The woman who seated us kept asking other servers "have you seen Tammy? Where's Tammy? Really?! Tammy didn't bring our food 35 minutes later, some other server did. Tammy never came to check on us, never asked us if we we're good with everything, refills were out of the question. We all got something off of the $4.00 menu. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese steak burger, plain with a side of thousand island dressing. It was pathetic. The bread was not toasted, it was bread with one half dollar size burn mark right in the middle on both sides. My husband told the woman who had seated us. Tammy was no where in sight. She told the guy at the grill, who apparently didn't give a flying flip, because after 20 minutes we NEVER did get a sandwich. We were done eating. After, realizing that we weren't going to get satisfaction (a hot, grilled sandwich) we were ready to leave. No check, we waited in line, where all of a sudden Tammy miraculously appeared. Handed me the check and I informed her of what had happened. (Which she would have known if she had come back to the table even one time) I told Tammy I was not paying for my daughter's food and I felt terrible she ate fries & coke for lunch. We understand busy, but the service was lousy and felt like servers didn't really care. Grill cook probably knew that sandwich wasn't "grilled" but choose to pass it off onto customers anyway. I'm only giving 1 star because I can't leave zero. Went there tonight, most of the place was empty yet they were sitting everyone into 1 corner. The lady who seated us took out drink order and then 10 minutes passed and she never returned. Another server noticed and came over and took our drink orders again along with our food order. About 5 minutes later, the original server showed up with our drinks. We explained another server had taken our order again, she said she knew and everything had been taken care of. 10 minutes later she comes back and asks if we are done and need our check. I explained we hadn't even received our food! She walks off. Comes back five minutes later with her order pad and asks "now, what did you want?" At that point we were done, got up and walked out, which I have never done in my life. She acted like she was under the influence of something. We will never return to this location. read more
