I had to take a picture of the inside of the sandwich. I loved it!.

I would say this is the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich I've ever had in New Jersey. Now granted it's about 20 minutes from Philly so they better be doing it right. I'm from North Jersey so I typically never order Philly cheesesteaks as they're usually not that great by me. But this place had assigned saying they won some type of award so I figured I'd give it a shot. The waitress was very nice and I just ordered a plain Philly cheesesteak with American cheese and I got the small. I'm glad I got this small because it took me two sittings to finish this sandwich. The thing came and it was huge, it was about a foot long. It was $15 and it could definitely feed two people. When I bit into it I could tell why they have won awards before. The meat was so tender and the cheese was mixed throughout the whole sandwich, not just on the top. The bread was a sesame seeded bun and it was nice and soft. Something about that bread, cheese and steak mixed together That just tastes so good. I would definitely return here for a cheesesteak and maybe even get something different. From the outside it looks like a fast food restaurant, but from the inside it's kind of like a diner. There's a bunch of tables. You either have a waitress or order up front and they could bring you your food.

    Mushroom Cheesesteak

If you want a really good steak sandwich, this is the place to go! They have other items that are good too! Today I had the mushroom cheese steak and my husband had a pepper jack steak sandwich! Both were fantastic!

We grabbed a few Cheesesteak sandwiches for our flight back to SJC. I must say, there was much more meat than I expected. This wasn't the best Cheesesteak I've had, but I was very satisfied with the flavor as well a the portion size. I couldn't really taste the mushrooms I had added, but that was okay, because the onions made up for that. All in all, not a bad little sandwich. I'm not in Jersey much, but I wouldn't mind dropping by this place again to try a few other items or combinations.

Apparently, they go through 15 gallons of it every week. More on that in a minute. I took my cheesesteak over to Death of the Fox Brewery. Why? Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!

Ordering ahead of time was easy, and my food was hot and ready when I arrived, which I appreciated. However, the parking is a bit of a problem, since the storefront is tucked into a narrow alley off Route 70, and there were a couple of close calls with cars while I was pulling in. The cheesesteak hoagie was $20, and sad to say, other nearby spots are putting out a better sandwich at that price point. The bread was not toasted much and the sandwich just was not as full as I expected. The meat itself was not bad, but it missed the mark on flavor. I also grabbed a danish off the counter as a last minute treat, and it did not taste anything like it looked, with a very bland flavor and almost no sweetness, more like a plain piece of bread. Overall, I would pass on this spot, especially with stronger cheesesteak competitors in the area offering better sandwiches and a more satisfying experience.

Claims that reached me all the way in Baltimore. They said it's a cheesesteak worth traveling for and lucky me, my good friend lives nearby and was down for a lunch meetup. Her words, at my suggestion to meet up at Chick's, were "Definitely, that place is amazing but... How'd you hear about it?!" They clearly do tons of pick up orders and stay busy despite being an off peak time. It took a while to figure out if I was standing in the right spot. (This is another good sign) The chicken noodle soup was amazing. My toddler loved the torpedo. My cheesesteak with fried onions and cooper sharp was everything that I wanted it to be.

Burger runn Cheesesteak…read more I've been told repeatedly to try the cheesesteaks here. On a previous visit I had the burgers and I thought they were very good. Though at my visit today I discovered they use Martin's potato rolls for the burgers. The place was a former deli and is tiny. I was greeted at the door and they took my order. Cheesesteak fried onions provolone. My go to order. The floor is tiled and slippery and I almost fell several times. It was around 4:15 so I thought I beat the dinner rush but apparently everyone orders from here on DoorDash or Uber Eats. At least a dz orders were picked up while I was waiting. I thought the wait was a little long.... But I stood there waiting for my sandwich. Finally a woman from the back come up front to address a problem with a chicken order and asked what I was waiting for.... A cheesesteak I replied and the counter woman that took my order grabbed a bag that was sitting in the pickup pile and handed it to me Alex? She asked yes I replied. I took my sandwich and got into my truck. At a red light I reached over to feel the bag... it was Luke warm. I expected my sandwich to be piping hot. Ggggggrrrrrrr. That is why I ordered at the place but the nearly 30 minute wait with the undetermined amount of time it was on the to go counter will you get the picture. On my arrival at home I opened the sandwich and snapped a photo. At this point it was barely warm. I prepared it with ketchup, hot pepper hoagie spread and my last slices sweet horseradish dill pickles. The first bite was underwhelming. Barely warm and the roll which was supposed to be sarcone's tasted more like amoroso. Onions were diced into fine cubes and I prefer more than the tiny amount provided. Overall taste was good but because it was nearly cold hard to actually evaluate. The overall sandwich had enough meat and a good meat to bread ratio. I found no trace of fat or grizzle. Maybe if circumstances were better I would have been happier but it did not reach the hype.

You will love their pizza because I eat A LOT of pizza and there is now room in my heart (and stomach) for yet another delicious pizza place. I grew up in this area; I have driven past Filippo's a million times and never stopped. The reason for this: I am an idiot. I have missed out on eating so many great pizzas from this place. Sorry! I will never forsake you again, Filippo's! Once pizza goes in the box, it is never the same. To combat this, we call ahead and order our pizza for eat-in. Smart right? So nice to sit down and enjoy a hot pizza right out of the oven. Check out their menu online or better yet: just go there and look at what they offer. They have pizza any way you want it plus a lot of gourmet specialty pies. I don't know who thought of all of them but they are pizza-angels and I am grateful. Naturally, they have other things on the menu besides pizza. I would like to try everything, please. The folks who take your order either in person or on the phone are very pleasant. When we dine-in, the server is always friendly and the service across the board is prompt. Don't be foolish like I was - go patronize this local pizzeria as soon as possible.

So, I YELPED through the Glassboro reviews while also taking into consideration of my location and Filippo's was the answer. They have a nice big parking lot and a very small dining area that I wouldn't really recommend choosing for a dinner night out on the town. I didn't glance at the menu ... I was in a rush so I looked at the pizza's in the window pointing to one then another. Yes, I would like the pepperoni. The young lady was very pleasant ... told me it would just be a minute or two (Nice service but I have had pizza before and already knew it wouldn't take long. (See why I was here in the review.)). The price was VERY CONSUMER FRIENDLY!!! I was very happy. Now the one slice was CHICKEN BARBECUE ... it tasted sort of funny. Not very chickeny and the BBQ sauce well ... if lived in the area I wouldn't order it ever again. It's actually impossible to describe the other slice that supposedly had pepperoni on it. It tasted better than the Chicken BBQ ... a nice cheesy texture but the pepperoni melted away there was no texture to the meat but I tasted it. I think I liked it ... if you know that feeling when you eat something that you can't identify and the basil and colors had eye appeal. So points for the service including the speed of getting me in and out. Points for the price that really made me smile. But I came for the pizza ... for my dinner ... in the car type of dinner ... and well ... nah, I won't go back if I am in Glassboro again without enough time for a sit down meal and wanting to eat something quick that is not fast food and I think pizza ... I'll go somewhere else.
