Good food, fresh items plus arrived pipping hot. We enjoyed the steamed chicken dumplings, vegetable bao buns and no spice-beef noodle soup. So good and for an extra treat, the sesame balls. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely reorder from this great Chinese food eatery. Just wish the'd add wonton soup, my husband's fav!

The service was friendly and attentive. I got the seafood noodles (medium) and the pan-seared dumplings. Food was really good but I got confused with the dumplings I wanted but regardless everything was delicious. The decor is similar to the other location but I like the baskets around. And it has plenty of space for people to sit. This location has a parking lot and has other retail and restaurant options. This place it's really good.

Was craving some soup so thought of checking this place out. The menu online was outdated and was shocked that they had more things! Decided to try the chicken noodle soup and the seared bao bun. The chicken noodle soup said they have seared chicken but it felt like rotisserie chicken with all the skin on. (Attached a picture of skin just floating). The soup was ok, nothing to write home about. Was disappointed after the chicken being all not seared. The seared bao bun was ok. They were pretty fast with the order and the place seems chill.

Fantastic boba and popcorn chicken and decent pho, but the pan-seared dumplings were shockingly bad. I was so excited to have some dumplings at a place that to me, was known for them.... but look at the photo advertised on their website vs. the reality of what we received for the pork pan-seared dumplings. They were burnt, seared on all sides for whatever reason, and it ruined the flavor completely. :( I have eaten pan-seared dumplings at traditional spots and it is more of a light sear. Please tell the chef! These tasted like burnt oil.

This little corner restaurant is so cute!! You have to find street parking but after going around the block twice we got the best spot! We were greeted right as we walked in and found a nice high top table. Our eyes were big so we ordered a nice variety of items to share. Our server was very friendly and brought things out to us quickly! We were very pleased with how fast the food came out. Everything was a hit! My daughter did prefer the steamed dumplings over the pan seared because the pan seared were "too oily" for her but they were still delicious. The Zha Jiang noodles were a huge hit and my hubby scooped the bowl clean! The boba was also cooked perfectly. We will definitely make it a point to stop again when we are in the area!

Great food, customer service is friendly, and everything gets made fast! Highly recommended the spicy dumpling bowl. Also if you're a fan of earl grey, theirs is really good! The food is on the pricier side but it's a great treat!

We found this place looking for a dumpling restaurant close to Mount Juliet. This place is kind of hard to find and is not fancy on the inside, however, the food is great! The Pho had an excellent broth, very tasty. We also ordered dumplings, bao, popcorn chicken and a broth less beef noodle bowl. Everything we ordered was so good, all the flavors were excellent. We ordered in, sat at a high top table. Like I said, it's not anything fancy inside, but the employees were very nice and helped us pick the best things in the menu. Even the pineapple tea was great! I ordered it with very light sweetness and it was perfect. I definitely recommend this place and we will be back again.

Surprisingly good from out of nowhere in TN. We were craving for some soup noodles after a round of golf at the Hermitage, in the freaking cold day, I mean literally in the 30 degree day. Pan seared dumplings, aka pot stickers - Pretty good Shanghai soup dumplings- not bad but dough is on the thick side. Beef noodle soup - on the salty side but not bad Zha Jiang noodle - not bad Shredded beef rice bowl - just ok Popcorn chicken- I am not a fan of popcorn chicken but not bad Hit the spot. Would definitely return if we ever visit Hermitage TN in the future.

I was looking for a place to eat after our cheer comp and saw this place and had to try it. We ordered the soup dumpling because my youngest loves those. It was flavorful and lots of soup in it. The pork and cabbage pan fried dumplings were also good. My favorite was the juicy pork bao. It just burst into flavors. This is definitely a spot that we will definitely come to when visiting.

We are on vacation in Nashville, and were recommended this certain restaurant. I must say, I loved the food here. We got the Noodles, fried Bao, and fried dumplings. On top of that, my father got a Thai milk tea. Now, I normally detest Milk tea, due to finding it over abundantly sweet. The milk tea here was just sweet enough to enjoy without tasting like liquid sugar. Now, as for the service, the woman at the counter and the woman bringing the food were extremely friendly, and even gladly gave us a requested cup of ice (we had an electrolyte drink from Walmart, due to having just been walking in an old plantation. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone and hope to come again some other day. read more

Delicious! I didn't get to take a picture of my food. I got fried dumplings and pork belly and rice. If you're not into steamed pork belly I would suggest not getting this. I'm Vietnamese and love pork belly. I wasn't a fan of the sauce it came with. But I did like the dumpling sauce. So I used that with my rice. read more

Searching for some good Chinese while driving thru Nashville TN and this came up on Yelp. Well worth diverting our travels. We ordered the orange lemongrass peach tea without boba. The flavor was superb and the amount of fruit was perfect (I wonder how many people just toss the fruit,- it was the best part). The soup we ordered was medium in spice and it still made the eyes tear up a little so if you don't like spice don't order medium. It was still delicious but don't let the subtle sweetness on the front end fool you. When you stop eating the heat punches back. The bao was the perfect finish. In other restaurants we have seen more selection of steamed bao fillings and even though their menu isn't vast what they do have is made very very well. Definitely worth the adventure off the beaten path for this little gem of a restaurant. read more

Well picked menu. The beef soup had yummy firm noodles and good beef portions. The flavor is Americanized, it lacked the sweet umami flavor I've had in Asia but generally it tasted good. It was a filling combination to our bao. I like the beef bao because I don't eat pork, but my boyfriend liked the pork bao better. Milk tea was superb but the portion was medium compared to the ones I had in the west coast. I liked the chili oil with my soup, if you wanna add a lil bit of kick to it. read more

Service is very friendly and accommodating, order up front and they being everything to you. My husband and I came in for the lunch special. I got a steamed beef bun and pork rice bowl, and he got the beef noodle soup medium spice with pork steamed bun. The rice in my bowl was perfect, meet I'm still not sure it wasn't beef because the color and flavor but it was tender and delicious, only complaint is I would have loved more bok choy but that's just not picking. Soup flavor was delicious and tasted like if ramen and pho had a soup baby. Now for the steamed buns. They were good, again couldn't tell between the beef and pork flavor, they were perfectly steam and tasted great. I buy the frozen buns from asian markets and these tastes just a little better than those. Great experience would recommend, but it's not a place for me to become a regular at. read more

I'm torn between posting a 3 or 4 star review. For the past 1.5 years in Nashville I have been trying to find a good Chinese place, and this place is pretty decent. Their xiao long bao is pretty good. Perfectly steamed and has the delicious soup inside, like it's suppose to. Their pan fry dumplings are okay. Nothing special but not bad. Their beef noodle soup is also not bad but not amazing. I have always loved a good Chinese beef noodle soup, as I grew up very Chinese, and this place isn't bad but it isn't amazing. I would be going more often just to eat some okay Chinese food that I don't have to cook but, the prices are pretty expensive for just okay Chinese food. read more

Okay so this is my new favorite place and i have quickly become a regular. The classic milk tea boba is my favorite in town and the steamed bao is unbelievable. You absolutely have to try the chicken and cabbage steamed dumplings too, spicy but so delicious. To top it off there is always chill lofi music playing in the dining room. read more

I cannot recommend this place more. If it had a million stars I would give it a million and a half. The food was so incredible we had to get seconds. The wonderful people who made our food were so nice and friendly. We sat down inside to eat our meal and the interior is very peaceful the decorations are of different Bao and hand drawn sticky notes on a board. It was so cute they also have holiday decorations up. Very warm and welcoming. The food again was just so good I was ranting and raving the whole time I stuffed my face. read more

We went on weekend nights and only had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated indoors, which was to be expected as this place was packed with people and we would have been willing to wait longer if needed. We had two different servers, I unfortunately can't remember our first one's name but she was the one with stretched ears that normally wears her hair up. She was great and very thorough in explaining how the menu worked. The second night we had Lexi and she was super sweet. Tonight was our first time ever going to Steam Boys but it did not disappoint. We came in about an hour before close and we were greeted with a smile and quality service. The tofu was soft and flavorful, absorbing all the delicious sauces, while the noodles had the right amount of chewiness. The soup dumplings, though, were the star of the show! They need to cook their beef longer to make it tender. The website says that their beef in their beef noodle soup is "tender," It is not tender at all. It is so tough that I felt like my teeth were going to fall out. It made my jaw hurt so badly and I got a huge headache from it. What made the situation even worse was that a lady who ordered about 5 minutes before we finally left was given what appeared to be our food, even though we had already been waiting over an hour and 20 minutes. Watching someone who ordered after us receive food while we walked away with nothing was incredibly frustrating. The food here might be good--we honestly wouldn't know. But the system and communication were extremely poor, and the way the situation was handled left us feeling completely disregarded. When someone only has a couple nights in town, an experience like this really matters. I hope the restaurant works on their ordering system and customer service so others don't have the same experience.
