Moved into the area and was craving Chinese. I've been here several times now and it's been consistently good! I usually go for a combination plate with lo mein noodles. So far I love the orange chicken and pepper steak with onion. I will be a regular! :)

I was charging my EV around the corner here at Willowbrook Commons, walking around seeing if there was anywhere to eat and that's how I found No 1 Chinese! The restaurant is extremely well maintained and I was greeted kindly. The ambiance facilitates these moods of kindness and cleanliness. I felt welcomed and ready to eat! The chefs were cooking and enjoying their work--I could see their smiles and hear their conversations which made me smile too! They were very fast and the young lady at the front had packed my order within about five minutes or less! She related to me about how sometimes waiting for things seems like it takes forever and sometimes life jumps by super fast! I was impressed with her interpersonal approach to customer service and if you are one your way to another restaurant at this moment, turn around and welcome to No 1 Chinese at Willowbrook Commons!

The initial arrival was entirely seamless, as the venue boasts an impressively large, accommodating parking area. Upon crossing the threshold, my assistant and I were immediately received with a polite greeting from the front counter. The dining room possessed a lovely, comfortable energy with several discerning patrons already enjoying their evening meals. While the exterior layout doesn't appear to feature any specialized accommodations for motorbikes, the interior is perfectly pleasant. After reviewing the selections available for the evening, I requested the Sesame Chicken paired with a Sugar Bubble Tea for my refreshment. I must note, the establishment appears slightly understaffed for the evening rush merely a gentle observation for management. The gentleman assisting us, Mi Po Chow, was doing his absolute best to be accommodating, though he was understandably pulled in several directions due to the heavy volume, rendering the service slightly more modest than I had initially anticipated. I would rate the general service and pacing a conservative yet respectable three out of four stars. However, the kitchen executed the culinary portion of the evening beautifully. When the order arrived, both the Sugar Bubble Tea and the Sesame Chicken were presented with absolute completeness. The flavors were entirely satisfactory the chicken was beautifully prepared and the beverage was a total delight. While the staffing could benefit from a touch more support, the delicious fare left me thoroughly satisfied with my dining experience

I did a pick-up order, so I'll have to come back and try the hotpot, but our experience with the two dishes we ordered was good. Ordered: 1. The fish fillets are incredibly tender. The pickled cabbage gives it a nice sour flavor to round everything out, and the soup comes with noodles which was a nice surprise. This fit our time budget just fine as we had about 3.5 hours before our flight departs. This location is what you would expect from an ordinary hot pot restaurant with simple seating, a custom bar to choose the items you want, and a small sauce station. My lovely lady and I decided to go with the custom hot pot option where you grab a large bowl, go to the custom bar and choose the items that you want them to cook in your hot pot. They weigh all the stuff together and charge $14.99 per pound. We originally choose the House Spicy broth, but my beautiful partner asked the lady how spicy was the broth, and she did say it was actually spicy; so she asked them to downgrade my broth to the Sour and Spicy broth, as it was more mild. I'm so glad she did, as my broth still seemed quite spicy, especially the red chili oil floating at the top. I'm not sure how she was able to deal with the House Spicy level, but she was able to power through it. The sauce station was quite limited, without any sweet options to mix with the spicy oil and scallions. Overall, this place is ok for Tennessee. I feel like we are spoiled coming from the Los Angeles area where we have access to so many options with super fresh ingredients.

There's a double door entrance, which is very tight and would be hard to navigate by a chair user on their own. Other than that this restaurant actually really wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the fact that the floors are super slippery and this I guess is for both chair users and ambulatory humans. It's just slippery. The bathrooms are fine. There's a nice accessible stall and everything was reachable and the door into the bathroom was really light. The height of the Hot pot table is actually the perfect height for a wheelchair user which is tricky at a lot of these different restaurants. So kudos to that.
