Great place. Plenty of room in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell us please use as good being the barista and know what they're doing. These were amazing the vanilla espresso, especially had a great cherry cold foam on top. The orange blossom latte was really good to see good distinctly taste the orange in the coffee and milk combined.

Such a cute coffee shop! We stopped by here on a whim after an appointment, and I will say the store is very esthetically pleasing! There's a lot of natural light and the decorations are very earthy and inviting. Their baristas are super kind and patient. They recommended the honey matcha latte, which was supposedly customers favorite. The honey matcha latte was very refreshing. It wasn't too sweet and the matcha was on the lighter side. There's a small parking lot to the left of the shop. It is spacious enough to hang out at or do some work. Very quiet on a slow day.

My friend and I had coffee and catch up on an upcoming project. The atmosphere is so nice and relaxing, totally made me forget about the rain. Super cute aesthetic but I've been here a couple of times now and haven't been too impressed with the drinks. Our barista was super friendly and helpful in her recommendations so service was perfect! Drinks came out quickly. A good amount of seating is available for being such a small place. I ordered the matcha latte with almond milk and since it doesn't come sweetened, I opted for vanilla flavoring. The portions here are tiny. They charge $1 for milk alternatives which is normal but the $0.75 for vanilla flavoring that I couldn't even taste was crazy. The matcha was good though, tasted good quality. But I was pretty disappointed in my drink overall. I wish it was sweeter but it was just matcha water unfortunately. 3/5 Overall, service and vibes are great here but drinks are okay. This place may be more catered to people who like their drinks simple and strong not so much for those of us who like sweet and flavored drinks so unfortunately it was a miss for me.

Great coffee spot! Perfect service, delicious coffee, affordable with lower prices then nearby coffee places. Open and spacious, with beautiful light. Lots of seating, with beautiful window tables as well as a new back section with comfy booths. This is a great place to spend a few hours reading or working. The barista was friendly and made the best latte I've had in a long while. They're also adding a juice bar soon.

Solid latte. I really liked the lavender syrup they used-- I think they make their syrups in house which is always nice to see. I enjoyed my latte but there was nothing show stopping about the espresso itself. Prices are a bit high but comparable to your average millennial coffee shop.

Whenever I'm near Long Beach Airport, Steelhead Coffee is definitely one of my favorite stops. It's easy to access, and the service is always great. The staff is cordial, respectful, and genuinely helpful. If you ask for recommendations, they won't hesitate to point you in the right direction. I also appreciate that their oat milk lattes don't contain sunflower seed oil, which is a big no-no for me. On top of that, they make their syrups in-house, which makes the experience feel even more special. read more

I love everything about this place. I love how clean it is and how friendly the staff are. I love that there's actually parking. I love that there are places you can sit and work and places you can just chat with friends (though at noon on a weekday, it did feel a lot like a coworking space, with one lady not modulating her voice at all for a Zoom call that she decided we were all going to be part of, lol). Stop by if you're around. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! We stopped by here on a whim after an appointment, and I will say the store is very esthetically pleasing! There's a lot of natural light and the decorations are very earthy and inviting. Their baristas are super kind and patient. They recommended the honey matcha latte, which was supposedly customers favorite. The honey matcha latte was very refreshing. It wasn't too sweet and the matcha was on the lighter side. stopped by after grabbing lunch next door. I've been wanting to stop just never have. it was late afternoon so there was a handful of people there but not crowded. the decor is clean and simple, real sweet inside. Since it wasnt busy I was able to ask a lot of questions. Hassan was working (I hope I remembered that right) and was super patient with me. He answered all of my questions in a very friendly way that didnt make me feel dumb for asking. I'm a new coffee drinker so I always have questions. I'm also diabetic so I have to have sugar free flavors. I think the only downside was that they (like most coffee shops) only have Vanilla as a sugar free option. He made my latte and while I was a little nervous that it wouldn't taste good it was really delicious. It didn't taste burnt or too much for me, it was just right. I value both Hassans kindness and how delicious my coffee is. Will definitely be back. read more

I stumbled upon this after eating at a near by resturaunt. I only had their special which was recommended by the server. Barbie's drink. It reminded me of the pink drink at SB (starbucks) but better i think it was since it had the right amount of sweet and tartness for my taste. Place was quaint and had a clean bathroom. A few tables to chill with some peeps. Pretty quiet. Note: There was plenty of street Parking but be careful make sure to read street signs due to no parking zones on certain days and times. read more

I stumbled upon Steelhead Coffee after a stroll around Bixby Knolls. Many of my friends have recommended this coffee shop to me and I was super excited to give it a try. As you walk in, you'll be greeted by many tables and chairs perfect for working. I saw about 15 people working there and enjoying drinks. Ordering was extremely simple and the menu is very easy to read. The barista was incredibly kind and gave me recommendations for a drink was strong and sweet. I opted for a latte with an extra shot of espresso and a matcha latte with strawberry foam on top. The star of the show was definitely in the Matcha latte with a sweet and fresh strawberry foam. The strawberry tasted like real strawberry, which I was pleasantly surprised about. I am definitely returning for a weekly dose of Matcha latte with strawberry foam. I also think this is the perfect place to get work done and just simply have a good time. read more

Nice, quiet place to study. Chill guests and barista. I read a few mixed reviews on parking, but I got here at 2:30 on a Monday and there were easily 10 spots available on the close by street + private lot. However there was only one bar seating available, but it didn't feel crowded. Most people were studying quietly. So far, I'm a fan! Clean place, cute plants, drinks are good, & wifi. I will have to be back again to see when are best times. read more

Came here to refuel on our road trip from Ventura County to Orange County. My daughter loves a latte and this place had better reviews than most places nearby. I want to meet the interior designer of this cafe because it is seriously adorable! So pinterest/insta worthy. Lots of seating and it has a second room with even more space for chilling. Only one person working when we stopped by so service was a little slow. We waited about 4-5 minutes to order before we were helped but our drinks came out quick. I ordered an iced black tea with a touch of simple syrup. Very tasty! 8/10 My daughter ordered an iced mocha with soy milk. She liked it but had to ask for a bit more chocolate sauce because it wasn't very strong. 7/10 My son loved his hot chocolate. 8.5/10 Always nice to take a break from large coffee corporations and trying new coffees while out and about. We would definitely come back again. read more

I got the lavender matcha latte and hubby got a brown sugar cinnamon latte. Both were delicious and well crafted. My matcha could have been a little smoother, but the taste was perfect! They make their own syrups, the ambiance is nice and the barista was dressed like Indiana Jones, so that was fun. The chocolate croissant was a bit over toasted, but still yummy! read more

How to review a coffee spot when all you get is coffee? I mean, their pastries looked mighty tempting and I was very charmed by the crocheted cup holders up front. The place is nice and tidy, and pretty minimalist in terms of its styling, but it's a cute little shop to have coffee at. A cappuccino rarely steers me wrong - and often reveals the quality of a place's coffee, in my estimation - so I was happy to have one from here that was smooth and robust and flavorful. read more

Decent coffee. The pastries in the pastry case are way overpriced and they don't post the prices anywhere which rubs me the wrong way. This place also charges extra for plant based milk which will always be absurd to me. read more

Cool place to have a coffee and have a casual meeting. I ordered the drip coffee which is slightly more than their regular coffee. I was hoping for a richer taste but the coffee was a bit watered down. Next time I got I'll let the barista know that I want a strong Lee taste. Overall service was great here and they have a lot of cool and interesting coffee from all over the world. The shop is cozy and it wasn't too hard to grab a table when we arrived. read more

Rad Coffee is located off of Atlantic Ave & E 35th St. There's a parking lot in front and in back, so on the rare chance it's overcrowded you can find a spot (even on the street). Lots of clashing chaotic colors inside! You order at the counter and pick up your drinks on the side counter next to the bathroom (which is closed). Also closed is a sizeable covered patio, which is a shame since it'd be nice to chill there and not just get it to go. Maybe it's another covid casualty, or maybe it's more about lack of employees to keep an eye out (there was only one during our visit). The menu has lots of specialties in addition to your usual coffee fare. We were adventurous so my wife got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch while I had the Peanut Butter Crunch. Yeah, their house creations have cereal and coffee Frankensteins so it was an interesting choice (both are super sweet). Overall we'd stop by again when we're in the area. I dug their pinball machines while you wait. They also have plenty of merch for sale (shirts, shorts, stickers, mugs, etc.). If you're on the health-conscious side, they also have a hearty selection of vegan friendly treats.

The café has outside and inside seating. I prefer to sit outside since there were a lot of students working on their laptops and I didn't want to cause any distraction since we were there to mingle and chat. Being outside was nice, but you also still have other people seated outside, or in passing. The barista/cashier was friendly, especially when I let him know that it was my first time. He asked me what my likes were and said he can make that for me. I went with a hot honey cinnamon vanilla latte and it was good. It may have needed more to it because it was not flavorful and sweet enough. I couldn't taste the honey or cinnamon. It tastes more like a vanilla latte. But I think this is an easy fix next time I order. They also have a restroom for customers which I visited, and it was clean. There is plenty of parking and this is definitely a college crowd, but welcome to everyone.

Gone are the traditional teas and sesame jelly that made Hechalou so famous. These options are replaced by cheap imitations of Starbucks' frothy drinks that sound good on paper but taste like iced piss with sugar. The drinks are excessively sweet, a mortal sin by Asian standard, and they have a generic taste that might as well have one item on the entire menu. Alas, to get a sip of the old favorites, now I have to drive across town instead of stop by after work. I am glad that I got my many trips here before the old guards died, and it's probably better for my hemoglobin A1c in the long run.

Steelhead has always been my favorite coffee shop in LB. The cappuccinos here are consistently incredible and the employees always provide a great experience but in my last visit a couple of days ago I was slightly disappointed. My go to coffee was over done though it was still okay. Apart from the amazing drinks, the interior space was refreshing and the whole beans selection was unmatched.
