I got green tea with honey and ginger. Service was great but they are SEVERELY understaffed. They need to hire more people I waited at least 20 minutes for this one cup. The ambiance is cool. Wish it was more cozier: Parking was cool. Pull up and there were a few spots. All in all I'd probably go back

I was a regular at Hojas a few years ago, since I would often stop by before or after my classes at LBCC. I returned a few weekends ago and it didn't disappoint. It was a Saturday morning and the ambiance still felt like a neighborhood coffee spot. The staff was friendly and nice enough to give a few minutes to look at the menu and answer some questions. There isn't a lot of space to sit inside. There are a few tables outside at the sidewalk. The inside though, is lovely decorated with plants and other things. I got a Cafe con Leche drink, and it was just as expected. My only comment would be that you can only get a certain size for certain drinks; but I assume it is common. They also have pastries including cookies, cake, and macaroons as well as food items. I have never gotten food, but the pastries have always been delicious!

This place is small. They do allow dogs, there is only 2 tables, 1 outlet, free wifi, 2 free hour parking in the back and street parking. The lighting is dark in here and cold. They don't have a bathroom here. The staff said it would take them about 5 minutes to make my drink. I got the peaceful lavender. It came out to be $5.50. This is great for those lactose intolerant folks and vegans as it's made with coconut milk. The lavender in this tea was so potent and it tasted like fresh lavender was in it vs those lavender syrups that coffee shops use. It definitely was calming drinking it. This made me want to look forward to spring. Just looking at their menu, I want to try their other tea options. It seems this place is always getting customers.

I'm so glad I finally got myself in here. Hojas is located on a major street with sparking spaces directly in the front. It's a fairly small cafe with a few indoor seating but they do not offer any restrooms. I ordered the cafe con leche and the chefs special bagel and was pleased with both. I want to say my favorite part about my experience here was the customer service - super great vibes, very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely come back and recommend!

These hours don't reflect the hours on Google and Yelp. This business can't get this simple thing right

I've stopped by this particular Hojas in the afternoon TWICE and both times they were closed. On Yelp and Google, their hours state 9 pm but when I get there I see this sign saying they close MUCH earlier. Having accurate hours is a BASIC step for a business, and the fact they haven't corrected this in over a year tells me they don't respect customers' time. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Hojas has been one of my favorite tea shops for years. I started going to their San Pedro location in 2020. They have an amazing variety of hot and iced teas with a variety of blends. My favorite is the peaceful lavdendar which mixes Oolang tea, lavender and coconut milk. The absolute best.

Thanks to my niece Coco for introducing me to this place. I look forward to trying more of their food.

Blown away by my Americano and Avocado Toast this morning. My niece introduced me to this place. She kept raving how good it was and we never could connect to go together. Today it happened. So happy it did. The service there is very friendly and inviting. You feel like you are at a friend's home. Staff is very helpful and the food they make is AMAZING So don't be fooled by the small space because it gives a big punch of flavor and friendliness. Thanks, Jed

I love supporting small Coffee Shops/Eateries and also venues and Of All kind. So it's a Thursday AM and this is about 5min driving distance, and to quite honest I was headed to another location to Yelp for coffee humbleBraggs eatery And since o was at the stoplight I said why not let me pull over and see what Yelp has to say. So here we go I walk in ,did not get greeter even though he was taking an order a quick Good Morning or Hello I'll be with you. Look at the menu because the menu on Yelp just wasn't sufficient for me lol I needed the real deal in front of me. So , I would've sat and had my munchies inside but it was chilli.. So the customer service The gentleman can be a little more upbeat and helpful and thank the customer for his tip, instead he walks away before the transaction is even done . server AM S so just a $2 tip Music very low but you can still feel the vibe Cleaningness, table was dirty I order the Lemon Bar ****(4). Very tasty and not too Tarty ,however it is cold maybe let it sit for 10min so it will not be as cold and thick. Also the PB with a honey and Bananas on Multi grain ,very healthy and actually my first bite did it .not too much honey but you can taste the rawness of it ****(4) My steel oats with Strawberries -1 please the photo So much water and not able to even taste the oats itself I'd like my refund for this a waste of $6 Coffee time let's see ( I'm hesitant to even open the lid) Okay phew *****(5) Overall it's a Hit but a Miss on the Customer Service And the OAts boo!! Added 1 pack of sugar Steel oats **(2) because of all the juice water

We were in the area and wanted some matcha and this place popped up. Ample amount of street parking and realized I've been here before many many moons ago. I'm not a big tea person so I got the coconut mango infusion. It wasn't sweet enough for me so they added more coconut sweetener for me :) taste like coconut w a hint of mango but the drink came w mango slices yum! The matcha w coconut taste healthy and delicious. The coconut infusion (hot) was light tasting and we requested more coconut sweetener as well. Energize me is pretty good, my friend gives it two thumbs up. Service was really good and the guy taking our order was extremely patient and even offered sample to help us out w our ordering. Overall: my friend has been looking for a place that serves Yerba Mate and my wife loved the matcha w coconut. We'll be back if we're ever in the area

Cute local tea house with some health teas and healing tonics along with the normal fun stuff. I love places with homeopathic options so this will be a new regular spot for me. Teas: 3/5 - Fruity Fiesta - I was a little let down from this one. I expected a more fruity flavor but it contains milk (I had oat milk) and I didn't care for that blend so much. A little on the bland side. 5/5 - Relieve my cold - got this for my son who had a cold at the time. It was a nice array of ingredients that your grandma would make for you when you had a cold. You'd make it yourself if you had all the ingredients but thankfully Hojas has your back. 5/5 - Crema con miel - milky and caramelly. Very tasty blend that I recommend. 5/5 - Original house Chai - whatever your expectations are in a Chai tea, this should exceed it. 5/5 - French Sable cookie - a light, slightly crisp and flaky cookie that reminds you of a blend of a shortbread cookie mixed with a tea cookie from the south. I loved this cookie and will be back very soon for it!! Parking in the village is what it is, you just wait for someone else to leave. It's a pretty fast turnover normally, no issues. Service was good. Facility was good. Will be back!

Hojas brings back fond memories and a sliver of hope in a dark time. In the height of the pandemic in 2020, when hospitals were filled with sick and dying people and our entire medical center shifted to emergency triage mode, Hojas catered us with comforting teas and delicious and fresh sandwiches. Sometimes the only thing I looked forward to in an otherwise exhausting day was enjoying Hojas tea in the morning. So I stopped by today at their store and ordered my old favorite, the lemongrass bouquet. I also ordered some cookies that look amazing. I was confused when the total came up way too low for my orders. I inquired the server, fearing a mistake. She informed me that the tea was on the house for first responders--doctors, nurses, policemen. It warmed my heart (and my body with the tea) to feel appreciated at the end of a busy day. And of course, the lemongrass bouquet tastes as good as I remembered it, fragrant and sweet.

Do you guys still use the loose tea leaf with filter tops? Last time I ordered a chai tea and it was a tea bag? Not sure if things have changed?

I'm wondering too! Last time it was pre packaged tea bag! The loose tea leaves and flowers is what made Hojas stand out. Hopefully it was just a inventory issue.

    Do they bring order curbside?

no you have to go inside

Do you have almond milk for those lactose intolerant?

For an extra charge, they offer the substitution of almond milk on their coffee menu.

Do you offer soy milk for tea?

I see that you can sub soy milk for an extra charge.

On the second trip for the actual birthday pie, I picked the salted caramel b/c the group is a chocolate crowd. Third time, just wanted pie! Also sampled the cutie pies in the jar... I don't think the mini pie made it home lol. Today (#4 visit) I was craving the raspberry dream and wanted to try the apple pie. My current ranking of pie I've tried is: 1. Raspberry dream, 2. salted caramel, 3. White chocolate raspberry (cutie pie), 4. marionberry (nicely tart, full of berries but a bit dry, went well with ice cream), 5. whiskey peach (too much crust, not enough peach, not very peachy). The shop has some seating but I only saw one group seated once. I always took my pies home to enjoy. There is plenty of street parking (metered, 15 min free), and here is a parking structure around the back of the block (2 hours free).

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!
