Double smash burger and sweet potato fries
    Naiyana C.

They've got a few nice outdoors seats so you can bring the pup and relax with great burgers and brews. Their sweet potato fries were some of the best. I wish I could have eaten them all! They were super crispy, and salty and the mustard sauce they come with is on point. I loved the smash burger- the char was perfect and it just had such great burger flavor that hit the spot. I could have done with a single as I didn't realize how big the patty still was even though it was a smash burger so the double was a lot to take on hence why I didn't eat a lot of the amazing fries. The Elvis burger was good. It was unique to have the PB sauce on a burger so just be prepared that it's not your standard mouth bite. Super juicy and fresh - both burgers. I will say I was not a fan of the shoe string fries or the buns they used. The shoestring fries to me were kind of average and the buns were both pretty dry. I actually took my top bun off so I could focus on the goodness inside. Our waitress was super sweet- very friendly, helpful, accommodating- did a great job handling the whole patio on her own and with a smile! I'd definitely recommend you hit this place up for a try in spite of some of my minor dislikes bc all in all it was a win!!

Brought Stanley to grab a drink and a snack after a hike. They allow dogs on the deck and we enjoyed Brussel sprouts with an adult beverage out in the sun. Our server was phenomenal, very friendly and attentive. The Brussels were amazing! We will definitely be back!

OMG - BEST BURGER And the fried Brussels sprouts I've ever had!!!! This opened up 3/12/26 - we came on their second day of them being opened & we're FLOORED by the Double Smash Burger! So we came back one week later & had the same burger & the fried Brussels sprouts!!!! Service is awesome too!!!

This is one of the 2 plastic plates we were given to have our burger.

The burger was delicious, the fries were way too abundant, but these plates gave me a big thumbs down. That and my digestive track after I ate there. I hope you can do better. Manzanita needs this.

Turns out they keep it raised until about 4 o'clock while they brew beer behind the theater, then the screen comes down later for basketball, games, and movies. Honestly, that just made me appreciate the place even more. I walk all over Seaside trying different spots, little hidden places, tourist places, all of it, and somehow this still ends up being my favorite lunch spot in town. The food never disappoints. Ever. The prices are shockingly good for what you get, and they somehow manage to get food out fast without sacrificing quality. What I love most is the space. Even when town is packed, you are not jammed in elbow to elbow with people. Families, kids, locals, everybody just looks comfortable there. Big open historic theater, great food, quick service, sports on the screen later in the day, and good atmosphere without the chaos. Screen up or screen down, this place is one of my favorites. Thanks guys for always being awesome.

Since the Salt & Tomato menu was introduced, the food feels out of place for a small-town brewery. The menu is very limited, with elk as the only burger option at $30 and few approachable choices. The shareables are a little too unique. There is no table service, so patio guests must go inside to order and pick up food and drinks. Even on a slow night, we were told 35 min but waited over an hour for a simple focaccia appetizer, which, while fresh was bland, nothing to it. The atmosphere also fell short. We sat near off-duty staff who gave us a behind the scenes glimpse of the place that I wish we moved to another table. And no smiles from the on duty bartender. He seemed totally annoyed with working there. I actually felt hesitant to order more beers. Didn't want to add to his crappy day. Lol. I still believe this place has potential. Fix the menu and guest experience and you have got a great place to visit while in Cathlamet!

While there aren't a huge number of dining options in town, we never felt like we were settling. In fact, we looked forward to coming back each time. If you're a beer lover, you'll be in heaven. Their selection is extensive, with everything from crisp pilsners to rich stouts, making it easy to find something that suits your taste. The location is simply unbeatable. Nearly every table offers a view of the Pacific Ocean, and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat on the patio (my favorite spot), you're practically sitting on the beach. Watching the waves roll in while enjoying a meal is hard to top. Despite being incredibly busy, every server we had was friendly, attentive, and worked incredibly hard. The only minor downside was that the restaurant appeared to be a little understaffed. There were times when empty tables were visible, yet the wait was still 20-30 minutes. Honestly, though, we didn't mind. Any excuse to sit outside, people-watch, or simply stare out at the ocean is time well spent. The food was consistently excellent throughout our visits. We sampled the clam chowder, fish and chips, Backyard BBQ burger, cheeseburger, oyster shooters (both the Mignonette and Spicy Mary), and the cheese curds. My favorites were easily the clam chowder and the fish and chips--both were outstanding and exactly what you hope for when dining on the Oregon Coast. Even if beer isn't your thing, the cocktail menu is worth exploring. I ordered the Tsunami Warning, a refreshing blend of rum, pineapple and lime juices, ginger beer, and Pelican's Tsunami Stout. It's definitely a unique cocktail that won't be for everyone, but I'm glad I gave it a try. My biggest regret? Never saving room for dessert. Every time I saw one pass by our table, it looked incredible, but I was always too full to order one. That's just one more reason to come back. If you're visiting Pacific City, I highly recommend stopping by the original Pelican Brewing Company. Between the incredible oceanfront setting, excellent food and drinks, and welcoming service, it's a place that's easy to return to again and again.

There is no dedicated parking for pick up orders. The order was more than what is on the "take out" menu from their website. When I asked about the price increase she said it was a "surcharge." (Had a bit of attitude when I asked about it as well. I just paid it cause I didn't want to argue when there was a line of people.) There is NO MENTION of a take out "surcharge" and it shows up on the receipt as "tax." There is no state tax in Oregon or a city tax in Pacific City. The food was not a good value for the money. Lettuce wrapped burger was wrapped with brown lettuce. The coleslaw was like mayo soup. I will say the fish in the fish and chips were good and the ranch was good but that was it. There is a lot of room for improvement. Starting in the parking lot!

Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel anything but welcome. Our 3-year-old was playing with the toy bin they provide for kids inside, while we were mainly gathered outside. Like any toddler, he made a mess, but I was mindful of it and cleaned up after him when asked. About 15-20 minutes later, I noticed the entire toy bin had been removed. When I asked the staff member (manager?) why, her response was curt and dismissive--essentially saying she was tired of cleaning up after kids. She even said she "had kids too," but the tone felt more like scolding than understanding. I explained that we come to places like this because they advertise themselves as family-friendly. Instead of hospitality, we were made to feel like a burden, as though children weren't actually welcome. The worst part was overhearing her continue to talk about us to others while we were still there. That crossed the line from unprofessional to just plain rude. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. For parents constantly searching for places to enjoy a beer while their kids have space to play, I can confidently say Heater Allen is not it. If you don't want children there, don't advertise as kid-friendly--it's misleading and creates an experience that feels hostile for families.
