Best Italian in Florence, hands down. I love this place, and every dish I've gotten has been great. This is Florence's gem.

Amazing!! Do NOT pass this spot up!! Everything dish was wonderful and zero complaint from my crowd. Hubby had a grinder. Said it was one of the best he ever had. Son had a pizza... it was great. His gf had penne with Alla Vodka sauce ( I had a bite). She loved it. I had the gnocchi riscoprita. The gnocchi was light and buttery and simply delicious!! We took a piece a turtle cake home. Sangria and the bread was good that's about it! I read reviews before eating here and most of them were 5 stars and letting ppl know how this was the best Italian food they have had. WHAT! I don't understand where these ppl eat at. Some raves about their wing and were glad they were back WOW our wings where tough to eat and weren't even hot, barely Luke warm. The build your own macaroni was what my husband and I had. Vegetables were over cooked chicken was cut up like it was for their pizza sun dried tomato was mushy and looked like a tomato peel the sauces they make homemade were bland and over cooked and toooooo saucy. We stopped here after a road trip we will be stopping at sonic next time or McDonald's would have been a lot better. read more

Literally the best restaurant in Florence. Food is spectacular. Salads are so fresh. Pizza is the closest you'll get to New York style pizza this side of the Mason Dixon. Upgrading to 5/5, if you want italian in the FLO this is as good as its gets (Stefano's holds up anywhere outside of Little Italy and the North End, too IMO). Best bet/value is calling in your order and picking it up on the way home. Pizzas are pretty good too, won't quite satisfy a New Yorker but still good in their own right (and no contest with the "big" chain pizza joints). If you're feeling something really filling, order the gnocchi with their soup of the day. read more

If you are looking for the best Italian in Florence then look no further than this place. Stefano's can also be included in the discussion of best places to eat in Florence. As an added bonus they are only about 3 miles from house so they are always at the top of my takeout list. They also cater and the business I work at uses them at least once or twice a month with good results. All said I have probably eaten at this place 20-30 times with a satisfying experience each time. Staff has always been top notch and to go orders always ready in the time promised. The place can get pretty busy on weekend nights so expect a wait. They just recently changed their hours of operation to include Sundays. Their menu offers a wide assortment of pastas, soups, pizzas, wings, subs, burgers, and appetizers. Some highlights: Appetizers: Fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli, and breaded mushrooms are all tasty. Since the entrees are so big I rarely get an appetizer unless I am with a big group. They offer different soups each day. One of the few dings I have about this place is the quality of their soup differs from day to day. One day the minestrone is rocking and the next day it is just ok. Entrees: Their pasta dishes are huge and usually I only end up eating half of the portion. I always take the other half home and eat it the next day for dinner. They have some of the best gnocchi I have ever tasted. Their gnocchi riscoprita is my favorite dish and includes a hearty portion of shrimp and scallops in a delicious Asiago cheese sauce. If you like seafood you HAVE to try this dish. Other winners include their chicken tortellini, shrimp and scallop alfredo, and personalize your pasta menu. All their sauces are excellent and you won't be disappointed with any of them. They also have an assortment of subs, pizzas, and burgers which I haven't tried yet. Their pasta dishes are so good I haven't wanted to stray from them. Their pizza oven always seems to be busy and I have heard good things about their subs. If you have room their Tiramisu is worth having as a finishing touch to your meal . So if you are visiting Florence or a new transplant who has never been here, what are you waiting for? read more

Went looking for pizza and yelp guided us to this place. Fantastic. Saw the menu and went for the pasta. My wife had pasta aglio olio and I had linguani with meat sauce. Topped it off with a bottle of wine and wow was it good. Comes with soup or salad and bread with extra garlic. Dennis was our waiter and was very good and super friendly. Had a great time. They have the best pizza, hot subs, salads, and pasta dishes in town! It might not look too inviting on the outside being located in a strip mall but don't let that fool you! Stefano's is an excellent alternative to the "Italian" chains like olive garden. The food is inexpensive, but tasty and the portions are almost comically huge. My husband ordered the Chicken Tortellini-Fiorentina and I ordered a pasta that had shrimp and scallops in an alfredo sauce (I don't remember the exact name) but both of our entrees came with a massive salad. After we finished our salads and ate some of their delicious garlic bread, we were full. We each tried our entrees but took the rest home and had enough for two more meals each. This place is definitely worth trying if you're looking for good pasta at reasonable prices. They have non-pasta items on their menu but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. read more

If you are not a good waitress, then you shouldn't be a waitress. Horrible service and no teamwork between other servers. Sat at table for close to 15 minutes. We were given bread and water (jail?) by a girl bussing tables. Once our waitress finally appeared she didn't ask us if we wanted other beverages, nor did she tell us any if the specials. Wifey wanted to go to Stefano's for Father's Day but they are closed on Sunday so we went there for dinner last night. First visit there. Place was reasonably clean but chairs were uncomfortable. Service was good, nor excellent. Had to sit some after we finished eating to get the check. Wifey had Lasagna and I had shrimp with spaghetti, both OK, just OK. While traveling from FL to NY last year stopped at Comfort Inn for an overnight stay in Florence and asked for a reccomendation for dinner... they said Stefanos. We are from NY and are food snobs about Italian food, but thought we'd give it a shot.... It was so good that we made sure to make it a stop again this year and was just as happy this time around. I love the old fashioned Italian restaurant vibe. The only reason why I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is the weird store front which I think needs a bit of a facelift. I am not a real Italian food lover but I love a great cheeseburger. Stefano's offers a burger that is hard to beat I know right? You wouldn't expect a great burger from an Italian restaurant but they have one of the best in town. I have had three of these. I have enjoyed a few more traditional italian meals here as well and as far as I am concerned they do an outstanding job with their entire menu. Found this place while traveling. Worth going out of your way. Satisfied all my italian cravings. The place is a local favorite, packed to the brim. Easy access for takeout . Classic atmosphere, good for a date or family. Meatballs and sausage were spot on tender and grilled. Pizza is relatively thin crust NY style. House salads were well put together with plenty of cheese, green and black olives. House dressing is the best choice. All the pasta dishes that passed our tavle were big enough for two meals.
