I've been going to Old Chicago Pizza for years for their deep dish pizza and unfortunately, I've noticed quality has gone down consistently over the years. I can no longer justify paying $52 for a single deep dish pizza here. I ordered a double-crust pesto pizza with sausage for pick-up and when we dug into the pizza, everyone had the same reason -- "where's the sausage?" Old Chicago Pizza definitely took a move out of Chipotle's corporate playbook and has clearly mastered "skimpflation." The Bay Area has plenty of great deep dish pizza options that blow Old Chicago Pizza away in terms of quality, pricing, and taste. The pizza we received had far too much mozzarella and too few spoonfuls of pesto and sausages; the balance was terribly off. Definitely look elsewhere for deep-dish pizza, or skip it all together if Old Chicago is your only option. read more

That Chicago pizza had a little pop-up takeout shop over here and this is down the street from my house!! Lol I only knew about their location in downtown, which is maybe 2 miles away from my house also but you have to deal with downtown traffic. Lol it was very easy for me to order takeout and pick it up in a timely manner and not deal with the hustle and bustle of downtown People! We got a medium half vegetarian, half pepperoni and pineapple pizza and it was delicious all the vegetables tasted fresh and had a delicious crunch and as always the thick crust was delightful! I actually went to Chicago and tried their pizza at two different locations and sad to say, I thought both places had very weak light sauce that I didn't find flavorful at all. Perhaps I'm just tainted by the fact I've only had old Chicago pizza here in Petaluma! Overall- Pizza pretty darn good. -called in an order to go and they did not ask what type of crust we wanted. -deep dish crust is not what we wanted, but was very tasty. - staff working Weds. lunch were mediocre and not very friendly. March 2023 3.5 I'd say. We got a combination deep dish to go. Seemed mostly for takeout as far as the setup since there wasn't much in terms of tables and chairs. The only downside was the extra time beyond being able to pick it up. Pizza wasn't ready by the time we had gotten over there so we had an extra 15 minutes to wait on things. The combination pizza was good but not great I'd say. Everything was cooked well though through and through. I'd say between the locations the one closer to downtown is harder to pick up from but the flavor seems more on point. read more

Bimbo non food server told us that " the gluten free pizzas came in all sizes however they are thin crust! That turned out to be a lie so we had to order 2 separate 10" pinned pizzas to make up for 1 large n pay extra $. Wow, I just went to pick up a pizza and was literally almost accosted by Audrey the woman at the register. As the cook was wrapping up my food I hadn't even got a word out of my mouth as I just turned to say "save the tape" Audrey lept out of her seat screamed at me "calm down Buddy. We have a procedure here" With some other expletives. I literally hadn't even said a word. I Let her know that I would be speaking to management which I did. And here I am leaving a review. Save your $50+. Do not come here. Staff was pleasant for the pick up only service, but the pizza was horrible. Tasted like two day old pre-made crust that they threw toppings on and put in the oven to try to revive. My daughter went as far to say that Chuck-E-Cheese pizza was better than this. Disappointing for order-out pizza. On top of that, they tried to offer up a "better salad" price matched to my basic dinner salad. Seemed to be an old salad from earlier that didn't get sold or picked up. When turned down, the employee then went and said she would go make our salad - mind you, order was placed 40 minutes prior to arrival so they just didn't plan on making the salad in hopes that we would take the old salad. Wow the pizza here is amazing! Got a sausage and pepperoni pizza and it was huge. Each slice is enough for one meal ( and I'm a big eater). It was cheesy and marinade was delicious. Not overly saucy, just perfect. I love deep dish pizzas and they do them right here! Staff was so nice and attentive. Building has a very interesting history. I have been going to the downtown location for 20+ years and decided to try this location for their delivery service. I won't ever make that mistake again! Not going to get into the details but I ended up having to pay for the same pizza twice in an attempt to get my order correct and they still couldn't get it right. Generally love this place, but for the 2nd time now I have placed an order over the phone. Been told the wait time, okay see ya then, and then show up and there is no record of the order at all. I ordered a small deep dish combination which took 45 minutes to serve. I wasn't very impressed with it. Presentation subpar. The whole thing was covered in chopped mushrooms, not a lot of meat. Cut in 4slices, one tomato on each slice. If you like cheese it had plenty of it. There's hardly any sauce and it was tasteless. The bottom was just thick, doughy, and on the soggy side. This may be a fluke, but everything these days is getting worst. Prices up, quality down. I swear some places are watering things down. This pizza did not have the usual flavor, and being overly cooked with not enough cheese as it usually has didn't help. Love this pizza, but Jessica took our order wrong over the phone and I didn't notice until I got home because of how bad the service for pickup had been. I walked in and Jessica is talking to another employee, but they are talking to each other without making any eye contact with me or acknowledging my presence until I say "Im here for pickup." She gets my order after I say my name while still talking to her friend and says the amount owed and nothing else. I only see 1 pizza, the one she handed me, and not my full order, which included a mini and a salad, so I didn't instinctively pay right away. She seems in a hurry to get back to talking to her friend and repeats the amount owed in an annoyed tone and nothing more. I pause with and uhhh and she says "your salad is in the fridge..." At that point I'm at the tip screen and I already had put 20%, which I usually do, but I toggle back and put 0 tip. Her friend stands up from his chair and puts my salad and rest of my order in a bag after she told me I can get it from the fridge and I walk out with both of them laughing. Super weird service. Walking this strip mall, I found this place knowing the history of old Chicago and being a frequent customer to their business i was kinda shocked I didn't know they had a location here. I took a couple photos of the hours of operation to post on here and I opened the front door to ask a question if they did delivery as well. I noticed there were 4 ppl in the business. 3 employees and 1 customer. Immediately I got two of the 3 employees staring at me from behind the counter. One taller Caucasian guy with a beer belly, looks like he was making something in the back and a shorter Hispanic guy staring at me not doing anything but standing by the front counter. Conscious to not wanting to interrupt the 3rd employee, an older lady on the phone likely taking an order. I asked my question only to have both men completely ignore me and the Caucasian guy shoot me a dirty look before looking away. The poor lady on the phone at the counter had to stop what she was doing and respond and even she wasn't very kind in her response, obviously cuz now she had to stop what she was doing on the phone to answer me. I apologized and said I'm sorry mam I didn't expect you to answer since the two gentlemen were obvious staring right at me when I asked the question. These people are rude and I wouldn't trust them to make my food with any level of kindness or consideration. I will not be going back. Very poor experience. read more

Excellent customer service! OCP is doing it right! After a long week I phoned in my order on Friday evening only to be disappointed the pizza was not what I ordered. The cashier saw the disappointment on my face and offered to make another. I was tired and didn't want to wait. She provided me with a 1/2 off coupon for my next visit. Upon ordering we were told we would get a text for when our order would be ready. We never did. They asked for my phone number and never received anything. I came to pick up my order since I thought enough time had passed. I was told by whom I assume is the owner if I had paid for the order as if they don't keep track. I was given the two pizzas, completely forget the salad I ordered and had to remind them. They almost forgot the chicken I added to it as well. When I got back in my car, I realized a dipping sauce was not in the bag. Had to go back and ask for it. I don't like to leave bad reviews for places, but please be more aware of the items in an order. You should get exactly what you pay for since the food isn't cheap. read more

I don't care much for deep dish pizza so I get the thin crust pizza with red onion, olives, garlic, pepperoni, sausage, and tomatoes which is good. Crust was a little hard and chewy last time but still thick. Garlic bread was good. Real bread not like some pizza places do. Another great place for Pizza ! deep dish, there is a Old Chicago Pizza restaurant on the west side of Petaluma that is sit down, but this place is take out only on the east side of Petaluma, and it is the same as the restaurant as far as the delicious pizza. Delivery is available too. read more

A FB foodie page in another county raved about this place. So I put it on a list for the next time we were in Petaluma. Very greasy. Not very flavorful ingredients and a dough that wasn't interesting. It was like those white bread doughs you can buy in the freezer section of the grocery store.
