She explains everything to make sure you understand it, but she doesn't talk down to you, which a lot of doctors do. She calls you back to follow up. She is detail orientated, smart, and easy to talk to. I have a really high opinion of Nurse Practitioners, they are just like doctors but better because they don't have the ego. They actually take the time to answer all your questions and talk to you until you are satisfied.

So I called their office; they said I have to talk to the doctor video conference. So I did; she said I have borderline high cholesterol. I received $30 co payment billed for talking to my Dr regarding the blood test that has to do with physical. According to my insurance company, it's already covered. No copay if it's related yearly physical. I called regarding my bill, and they passed me from billings department to office manager. No one cared, and they said it's their policy to charge me to talk to the Dr. I would like to give them zero if I can. They have a contract with my insurance Co. Dr Ong PIH does not charge co payment to explain the yearly test result, but this office did. What is going on here? It's the same PHI. The experience is bad. So here's the story: I usually don't take any medication and don't trust western medicine for multiple reasons. However, I was very sick and started developing a very sore throat and started getting red patches on my soft palette in my mouth. We both liked the fact that a doctor *gasp* actually spends time with his patients! So to the doctors we went. Okay, so it was 70 bucks just to see Dr. Hone. First of all, I've been to an ENT and spent 120 dollars, and didn't even get a fraction of the care that I got from Dr. Hone. As soon as I met with him, I knew he was a genuinely kind soul. He was very attentive and asked questions, and was never condescending. He explained to me that the reason I had strep-throat like sores in my mouth was because my immune system was fighting the virus, therefore allowing the bacteria to generate... or something like that, haha. He made sense, basically. He also checked my heart and we talked about my heart murmur, when he didn't have to. When the receptionist told him he had a phone call, he asked her kindly to hold it, continued speaking to me, and noticed her urgency, and excused himself to get on the phone. He came right back, apologized, and continued where he had left off, instead of forgetting, like I'd assume some doctors would. Basically, I believe there's nothing to lose here, as I've decided he's the best doctor I've ever been with. I absolutely recommend you to him!

I expected the referral process to take days, but they handled it quickly and kept me updated. When I needed medication, the prescription was sent out without delay. It's rare to find a clinic where everyone genuinely seems to care about helping patients. They tend to hanging up their phone OR just blocked u into a busy line, so when u called them, NOONE (like literally noone) will pickup the phone OR listen to your voicemails. Their phone is broken, just like their heart is broken. Probably, just come to their busy office, and see how "busy" they are blocking people's phones call to make a very QUIET room. Wow!! They gave us appointment at 1PM so we showed up at 1PM; they told us to wait 30min because everyone is on lunch. Then why are they giving us appointment at 1? We are busy too. Last time we came we had to wait an hour even after making an appointment. I asked them how much longer we had to wait, they said "we don't know." I was late for my next appointment and had to leave because I couldn't wait any longer. Also experienced several times with staff calling the day before or even on the day of appointment saying that they have to reschedule us because doctor is not in the office. The way they arrange appointment and how they always cancel on us last minute is terrible.

Horrible place of business
