First time bringing my truck to Stellars. I called and got a price on timing belt and water pump for my 2017 Honda Ridgeline. As a female I am always worried about getting scammed at a garage but I figured they have been in business for a very long time so let me give them a try. The price was reasonable and they were very nice. Like everyone else I hate spending money on my truck when there's nothing wrong with it but Honda recommends this service to be done at 100K and I was at 103K so I bit the bullet and spent the $1370. I am so glad I did. My truck runs like new. I had no idea how much better it would run with having this done. Steller's has got themselves a new customer! The price was good, they were nice, they did the job in a day and they never tried to upsell me anything else. The did the service I asked for and that was it. Not pushy like the Honda dealer. I'm so happy I gave them a try. I'm more than happy with the service. I will continue to go here for all services needed. Thank You Kindly Tom Liacos, and everyone at the garage for going above & beyond. Last Thursday as I followed in my vehicle, my brother drove his Jeep in front. Then the tire blew, or whatever it was that happened to the vehicle. It was after hours, and luck had it, we were across from Steller's. We parked the Jeep in their lot, left a note, with the key on the driver side tire. First thing Friday morning my brother called to let them know what happened & if they could fix it. Not only did they do the job in the same day, they also stayed late past closing so we could return to get the Jeep that evening. Everyone was charming & kind. Our tire was low and we put air in it but the next day it was low again. We stopped by Stellar's to see if they could take a look at it and they not only immediately checked it out, but also repaired the tire. (It had a nail in it). I went to Steller's Garage back On 7/29/2021 to get my Front, Rear and Transfer Case for my differential changed. fast forward to today 09/02/2021 My truck is Leaking Fluids from my Rear Differential. From 7/29/2022 to 9/1/2022 i have only put 9,000 Miles on my Truck. i went to open the cover and drain the fluids and my fluids in the Rear was Completely Black. which with only 9,000 Miles that should not have been the case. To add to this issues the reason it was leaking fluid is because when they "changed" the fluid. there was no gasket put back on. the one that was originally there was fine. in Conclusion I would have rather taken my truck to the dealership or have never even done the service if i would have known my truck was being handled as if it was a toy. read more

My car broke down in the Shelton area so I had it towed here since we've used Steller's for an oil change before and they did a good job. They called me after triple aaa towed my car there and told me I needed a new alternator and a new battery which would be $700, they also said while they were working they could change my serpentine belt for an additional $48. I then asked how much they charged to change my transmission fluid since I knew it had to be done. He said they charge $300 to change transmission fluid. I was shocked and I told him my usual mechanic in Stamford had told me it was only $150 to change the transmission fluid and his response was "well you should go there". So feeling like I was being overcharged for being a woman, I called triple aaa and arranged to have my car towed to Scottys in Stamford- the place I usually go to. Scotty called me right after receiving my car and told me only the alternator needed to be changed and that he was able to charge my battery overnight instead of replacing it. He said my serpentine belt was in good shape and did not need to be replaced. He also changed my transmission fluid for only $150. So, my advice based on my experience is to avoid Stellers as they attempted to charge me exorbitant prices and they falsely recommended repairs which weren't necessary. They were just trying to make money off of me. As an owner of a small business myself, I'm all about helping people and doing the right thing instead of being dishonest and falsely overcharging. Shame on you Steller's for picking on a woman. I won't be recommending you. read more

After aggravating car problems and even more aggravating service at garages, I was thrilled to finally find Steller's. I just started working in Shelton at the Corporate Park and having a 9-5 job can make it difficult when you're trying to repair your car and get to work. Steller's makes it easy by swinging by the office for your vehicle so you don't have to worry about those inconveniences. With a nearby location on Bridgeport Ave., they took my car over the weekend, ordered the part that was needed, gave me honest advice with an honest price and had it back to me by Monday morning. My family has used Steller's for as long as I can remember and when I started driving I knew there was no where else I wanted to go. I've been going there on my own for seven years and I don't think you could find a more reliable, honest garage anywhere. They always attend to whatever problem I have quickly and with a fair price. When it comes to things like tires, they will shop around to make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck. When I was shopping for a used car, they even had me bring cars in to have them check to make sure there were no issues that would cost me down the line- all at no charge. They saved me from buying a vehicle with some serious alignment issues. They truly care about their customers and it certainly shows. read more

I just moved to the area and found Steller's online. My engine had been making strange noises and my car was occasionally having trouble starting... I called them up and the very friendly woman who answered the phone told me to come on by at my earliest convenience (no appointment necessary). I brought it over later that evening (and of course the car had stopped making the noises and started just fine) and told them no rush, as I knew they were closing soon. They checked it first thing in the morning and were quickly able to diagnose the problem. They called me to explain what was wrong - in a way that I could understand! - and for approval to do the repairs. My car was ready just a few hours later (less than 24 hours from when I dropped it off!). Now my car runs like a dream! Customer service is phenomenal and prices are very fair! They don't try to rip you off or make you do anything that isn't 100% necessary (a rarity in this industry!). All the staff were so friendly and professional. I'm so glad they're right down the road. Disappointed, I email this company stating my dissatisfaction but no response. Suggested to my daughter to go there for a Brake job. Rear rotors calipers and pads. You can purchase these parts all day for 300.bucks. Figured they'd charge her double to install etc. charged her 950.00, then locked her keys in the car causing her to miss a days work besides. This is the worst place I have ever been to in my life they took advantage of me because I was young I payed 200 dollars for an antifreeze leak they said they would fix it when I went there told me they fixed half the job and its still leaking but not as bad.. I had the misfortune of breaking down in Shelton, CT and couldn't shift my car. I needed help and they responded in a BIG way. I had called 2 Chrysler/Dodge dealers and neither were any help. Stellers sent a mechanic to the Hampton Inn and got me on my way, all in less than 1 hour. AND they charged a VERY reasonable price. Steller's performed my pre-purchase inspection for a used Audi Q5 that I was interested in buying nearby. I only use ASE certified mechanics and for a small town they were a very busy garage, which I think is always a good sign. They were extremely professional and detail oriented. Chris called me to explain all the details of the inspection and also provided me with a written report on all the points of the inspection with details like the amount of brake pad left, electrical, possible frame damage, mechanical issues, etc (which luckily there were none). Chris was great to speak with and was courteous throughout the process. They even checked if the car had a spare tire for me. The price of the inspection was much lower than any quote I received near where I live in NYC. I ended up buying that car and the car is running great! I would go out of my way to go to Stellar's again for any servicing my car ever needs. read more

I had my car taken in for two new tires. They installed the wrong size tires, which caused more problems. They told me they could not take the tires off and broke a tool trying to, yet no one has ever had this problem with my wheels before. A few days later my tires were scraping against the car when I made sharp turns. They didn't want to negotiate a lower price or admit that they were wrong. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. read more
