My hair is not super long or down to the middle of my back, it really is a little past my shoulders. She told me it would be $85. When I was sitting in the chair and the stylist was finished with my hair, the stylist who did my hair asked the lady that I spoke to on the phone prior to the appointment, how much should I charge her...she responded $145! That is a jump from $85! I'm just going to stick with Pressed Roots from now on. At least I know what I'm paying before I go to that salon and they can't change the price last minute.

She is an absolute professional, I have spent hundreds upon hundreds to get my hair done but she is better than any stylist I have ever worked with. She's attentive to your wants and needs but she will be honest and upfront with you because she wants you as a lifelong client. She takes the condition of your hair and will tell you in order to get it to this color, this is what is going to happen. She will NOT put herself to damage your hair. I was feeling uncomfortable about trying a weave again since the last time I had one turned out horrible! I had tried two different stylist who did my weaves and neither one got it right. One could only sew in the hair and left you to style. The other just added too much hair. So needless to say, I was done with weaves. But once my hair told me she was tired of being heat styled every day and I need to give her a break, before she decided to "break" on her own. I decided to give a weave another try. I wanted someone who cared about the overall health of my hair and can whip up a fantastic full weave style - as well as a fantastic natural style when I was ready. If you haven't realized by now, I'm a Yelp-er and I used Yelp to help me on my quest to find that stylist. Traci had excellent reviews and not only did Girlfriend have reviews - she had PICTURES!!! Stylist need to understand that showcasing your work is very important. Word of mouth can only go so far. To able to see the work is important. As far as the hair style I wish it was more versatile than it is. It's cute down but I have to put it up for work and it looks like a wig to me, my mom likes it.
