I wanted to like this office because it's close to home and the dentist is so kind, and they had a great hygenist that I loved for 2 years before she retired, but i'm giving it 2 stars because over the years I've spent very little time with the dentist and for my last visit. This last visit Dr. Albertson came in and said I had a cavity that needed filled right away. I don't normally have cavities and the urgency seemed odd, so I decided to get another opionion. I saw 2 other dentists who both confirmed it was NOT a cavity. I'm sad to say they wanted to do unnecessary work on my mouth. If you get a diagnosis, you're unsure about please get another opinion. It's pretty phenomenal when you can find a dentist you like and trust; I've found that in Dr. Albertson. I've had a LOT of work in my mouth over the years (after not taking care of my teeth when I had braces when I was young). Over the years, I've had root canals, dental implants, veneers, and numerous other procedures, so I begrudgingly consider myself a dental care connoisseur. I've been to numerous dentists over my oral history, so finding Dr. Albertson after my old dentist retired was a welcomed relief. Dr. Albertson is an excellent dentist. I've been his patient for over two years and I couldn't be happier with the treatment I've received. I started seeing him when I lived in West LA, and even though I now live in Burbank he is still my dentist. I hope that speaks to the confidence Dr. Albertson inspires in me as his patient, because nobody would brave that traffic if they didn't have to. Dr. Albertson is calm and skilled. He is delicate and concerned with your comfort. After filling a cavity and sanding down the excess, he adamantly tells me to be picky with whether the filling feels right, and if it doesn't he'll sand the filling until it feels natural. When I went in for a routine cleaning, Dr. Albertson insisted I refill two cavities that had been filled years before. They hadn't been bothering me at all and I had actually forgotten about them. After agreeing and refilling the first cavity, I was in a great deal of pain and couldn't eat on that side of my mouth for a couple weeks. I went back and Dr. Albertson said he couldn't understand why I was in pain and offered to refill it, yet again. When I got a second opinion, I was told that the tooth was likely cracked during the refilling process and now, I needed a crown. This was quite alarming since my teeth are in great shape and I've only had three fillings (and now one refilling) in 32 years. Dr. Albertson's office reimbursed me for the filling, but said he couldn't do anything about the crown unless I had the procedure done by Dr. Albertson. Of course, I was not excited about having the crown done at this office, so I had had it done elsewhere. Now I'm down about $800, but at least I can eat on that side of my mouth again. I do not recommend this practice. read more

After having a wonderful dentist for 30 years I was concerned about finding an ethical, good dentist I could trust after my dentist retired. I tried a couple of dentists and always felt they were talking me into something I didn't need. One told me I needed two crowns replaced. My daughter told me about Dr. Albertson. He was gentle, kind and professional. When I asked about replacing the crowns I was told I needed ( one I remembered as #13) he said no it looked fine. My crown I've had for 15 years popped out unexpectedly while flossing one night. I somewhat panicked because this has never happened before. Dr. Albertson was able to see me first thing in the morning. He immediately put me at ease and assured me everything would be fine. He did a thorough analysis and determined it was ok to reseal the same crown back on my tooth which saved me from buying a new crown (thank goodness). He was very patient and checked in with me each step of the way to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. I was even allowed to pick my own Pandora station to help relax me. He made sure my bite was completely back to normal and that I was pleased with the results before I left - it actually feels better than it did before. Dr. Albertson managed to turn a routine dentist visit into a very pleasant experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time (about 3 or 4 years) and needless to say I needed a deep cleaning. Because of this, Dr Albertson made sure to provide a very thorough and comprehensive exam/cleaning. I was expecting to have one of the Dental assistance provide the cleaning after my x-rays and exam, but I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Albertson did the entire cleaning himself. Again, I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time and this cleaning ended up taking a considerable amount of time. Dr. Albertson gave me the most thorough/detailed cleaning I've ever had. As physically uncomfortable as getting your gums scraped is, Dr. Albertson worked at a good pace and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He even let me pick the Pandora station I wanted to listen to during the nearly hour long cleaning. Long story short, Dr. Albertson is an easy going guy who really knows his stuff and cares about his patients.
