Was recommended by a friend to try this office out, so glad I listened. I took my two daughters, to Dr. Donoghue for teeth cleaning and exams, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly kind and patient, making both girls feel comfortable and at ease. The dentist was gentle, fun, and great at explaining everything in a way that didn't scare them. I have been seeing Dr. Donoghue when he worked in a different office. Before seeing Dr. Donoghue I had not gone to the dentist in a very long time due to my fear of them. He totally changed my perception, so nice, patient, and skillful in his trade (especially when drilling and putting needles in your mouth). The staff in his office are so nice and really give you a personalized experience when you walk in. You aren't just another patient on their list but a member of their practice. Not sure what to really call this situation but I was told by Dr. Moore that I have cavities. Upon visiting a different dentist office a few months later, I was told that I do not have cavities. Hmm...my cavities must have healed on their own? Maybe the tooth fairy has a second job healing cavities now? I guess in this economy you never know. I'm hoping that my review will help to deter others from this place and that the Dr. realizes that with services like Yelp, you can't screw people over anymore. THIS DR. I S A FEAR-MONGER Here's the full story if you care to read on, but in short, I'd highly recommend NOT COMING HERE unless you want holes ground in your perfectly good teeth. During my last visit here I had the worst anxiety due to one of the hygienists. She was non-stop making stupid jokes and speaking to me like I was 5 years old. She also gave alot of misinformation. This was just the start. Mis-information is my main concern. After taking x-rays and inspection, Dr. Moore told me that I have 2 or 3 cavities which need to be filled during my next appointment. I made the appointment but cancelled since I decided to go with a different dentist after not feeling good about how my visit here turned out. Fast-forward to a few months later, and I'm at my new dentist. I tell him I know I have a couple of cavities that I need filled and he tells me that no, he didn't find any. Interesting turn of events. I have a friend that used to go to Dr. Moore as well. They were also told that they needed some work done and after going to another dentist, they were told that the diagnosis was incorrect. Something seems very wrong about this office. read more

Been going here since childhood and dr. Moore is a great dentist and also an extremely kind person. Everyone in the office is nice and professional. I went to a different dentist recently because now I live 30 min away and I regretted it so much! It made me realize how great of a dentist dr. Moore is. Let me start by saying...I HATE needles and always get anxiety when going to the dentist. Unfortunately, I recently had a lower front tooth that completely cracked right down the middle right before a vacation. It was so bad, I didn't think it was fixable. However, I went to see Dr. Stephen Donoghue in Tustin and what a great experience it was. He is super caring, was patient, very gentle and was able to fix my tooth beautifully so I can go on my trip and not lose my tooth! It was a temporary fix until I got back from my trip, however, the repair was so darn good, it basically looks like nothing ever happened. I will definitely soon go back to get a permanent fix on that tooth, however, this time it's not on an emergency basis! The best dentist I've had my entire life, and there have been several as I've moved back and forth across the country. And, his staff is fantastic. Jennifer is the one that cleans and polishes my teeth, and she is amazing. In past experiences, my teeth were either left a bit dirty (when the person was trying to be gentle), or my mouth was left torn to pieces (when the person was trying to be extra thorough). Jennifer has the most skilled technique that leaves your mouth pristine without the beat up gums and teeth. Plus, there is something about the way that she talks about flossing that actually makes me floss, which is a first. I also have veneers, that were installed and repaired over the past several years by two other dentists. Both did less than impressive work, which is how I found Dr. Moore. I had a veneer break and the company that makes my veneers recommended him to me. He has replaced two of mine over the past 3 years. Get this...after he replaced one of them he didn't feel the final color was a close enough match, so he ordered another one in a different shade and swapped it out...at no additional cost. My last dentist did just the opposite...he tried to stick me with an off color veneer and tried to charge me even though the veneer was still under warranty. But best of all, Dr. Moore is a highly skilled craftsman with installing veneers. The ones he has done feel totally natural and smooth. The others that were done by other dentists have ridges behind the teeth and rough edges. I've had caps, x-rays, you name it, and Dr. Moore is as good as they get. Oh, and he speaks English as a first language, which is important to me. I tried two other dentists in Orange County but couldn't proceed with working with them because their English wasn't good enough for us to communicate. I would ask questions that they couldn't understand, and they would say things to me that I couldn't understand. Lastly, Dr. Moore is a very nice person--as is his entire staff. Oh, and they have TVs mounted on the ceiling so you have something to watch while they work on you. Certainly not necessary, but it's a nice touch. Great Dentist! There is a lot to being a great dentist. Besides Dr. Moore's knowhow, I like his down to earth and relaxing and caring bedside manner. This is important to me because I want a dentist who cares about me and my health. The hygienist at his office are also caring and pleasant. This makes teeth cleaning a nice experience. He has always gone above and beyond for me and my family, including meeting me at his office on Saturday when I had a dental emergency. I have been a patient of Dr. Moore for over 15 years and can honestly say he is the best dentist by far I have been to. I've tried others because of my work's insurance coverage. Big mistake. I won't go anywhere else. Excellent work that goes great with his personality and humor. His staff provides the most comprehensive cleanings I've had which is a big deal for me.
