I took a comforter to be cleaned here because I needed a professional to clean a high end Vera Wang comforter. I took it and said what I wanted, I came back a week later and picked up, while keeping it in the bag, thinking it was cleaned. I opened the bag a couple weeks later to see it hadn't even been cleaned. I took it back and told the main employee and he claimed that had never happened before, but agreed to reclean it. Picked it up a week later thinking all was well, although he added that there was a tear on it. How I'm not sure because I'm pretty careful, but figured it was an accident on my part. I took the comforter home for the holidays in bag to get the tear fixed by a family member. I only then found out that the comforter had in fact been ruined by a bad wash cycle. Not only did it look bad, but all of the lined cotton inside had been shuffled throughout with no consistency anymore. It no longer flat or even. A $400 comforter had been ruined with my only hope that over time the lining can be straightened out, but not likely. My best case scenario is finding another online to replace the destroyed one. When we confronted the employee (Frank?) by phone, he denied he did anything wrong and claimed it had never happened. This is what I get for going to a "professional" cleaner in Dallas. He may be a nice man and does a lot of good work (obviously not in house), but my one and only experience turned into ruined bedding. Sad to say I will probably never go here again, shame considering how great the ratings have been and how nice Frank was. read more

Frank is honestly one of the nicest business owner / sales guy on the planet. I swear, if my business had sales people, I'd convince him to close his cleaners company & join me whilst we conquer the world. Here are my summary thoughts: 1) already covered nice experience with management; 2) prices are highly competitive...pretty much best in market; 3) quality of cleaning has been flawless in my experience (I know some people mention he likely farms out the actual cleaning to a third party, but that's pretty much how most cleaning companies work - own/operate a storefront, & another entity does the actual cleaning); 4) haven't had a bad experience in the 2+ years I've been using them, so not sure how Frank would handle that, as a couple others have complained about...hopefully I'll never need to find out; 5) absent using an ultra high end place like Bibbentuckers for cleaning - which charges at least 2x as much for every cleaning, and works out costing more in the long run for cleaning costs than you'd ever lose in the occasional clothing damage or re-cleaning dispute you'd ever have at a place like this - Sterling has proven to be the best cleaner I've used since living in my past 6 other cities. read more

Other Yelpers have not exaggerated Frank's niceness. The nicest you could imagine this guy possibly being? He's one step nicer than that. Frank makes a point of memorizing your name and face on your first visit. I don't know how he does it. But he's getting your clothes before you even hand him the ticket. His rates? $7.75 for a mens suit, $4.25 for a mens jacket, $2.59 for slacks/ties/silk shirts. My clothes were ready for pickup next day at no additional charge, and you pay on pickup (not on drop off). Oh, and he offered to carry my dry cleaning to the car for me. He really makes you feel like family. I dropped off a cashmere sweater, and mentioned to him that the sweater had a hole. He offered to repair the hole at an additional cost -- I said just to clean it for now. When I got the sweater back, the hole had been repaired, but he didn't charge me for the repair. BUT. The cleaning was not up to snuff. Small food stains on the sweater and a mens suit jacket were not removed. The suit pants were poorly pressed. The ties came back with worse creases than they'd been sent in with. I sent the ties back to be re-pressed, and they came back even worse. Unfortunately, Frank sends his clothes out to be cleaned, and those guys seem to be the weak link in the chain. read more

Frank, the owner of this business, is a seriously hard working guy. He's ALWAYS there. He remembers my name when I pick up my clothes, too. And when I've had problems, he's gone out of his way to make things right. He does a nice job with men's dress shirts, and will even do small repairs and alterations for much less than most tailors. However, the quality of dry cleaning isn't the highest. It's okay, but sometimes light colored items still look a little dingy. But honestly, he charges less than $2 per item. I can't really complain. Even though I like the guy who runs this place, and he's SUPER affordable, I can't go with more than 3 stars because he lost my husband's Hart Shaffner Marx suit jacket. To his credit, he gave us a lot of free dry cleaning to make up for it, but that was a really nice suit, and my husband was pretty irritated not to have it anymore. Another time, I got home with someone else's dress and missing a pair of pants, but fortunately, we switched that out the next day without any problems. Despite the couple of glitches I encountered, I recommend this dry cleaner. I think he's an honest hard-working guy providing a decent service at a fair price. PS- The yelp map is a little off. This is not the first time I visit this place. The owner is nice and the service is cheap. This time I bring in 3 shirts for the dry clean service, one shrinks really bad. They are all in the same style and same material but different color. I had all 3 shirts cleaned here twice before and they were all fine. Now the owner is blame on the shirt material and acting like I am crazy. My grandpa used to work at a dry clean store and I know enough about the business that if the procedure is correct, this shouldn't happened. What I expected was just an apologize and check with your team to make sure they pay attention to the procedures going forward. But you are telling me it is not your fault. When it comes to doing simple things like shirts/slacks and the regular cleaning, this place always comes to mind for me when I'm in the neighborhood. However, I just wish the employees there would be a little more vocal and honest. My last visit there, I dropped off some shirts and ties, where I noted that one of the ties had a stain. My shirts were great, however the tie was not clean when I picked it up. It's one thing to at least say that you tried but weren't able to get it out and apologize for it, and another to just grab your articles and pay for it and walk out. I realized I wasn't charge for the tie which I found out later, but again a little more communication would have been appreciated. That goes to show that you take pride and responsibility in what you do and honesty/transparency is what we really in a business. I'll still come here for regular dry cleaning. The gentleman who owns the business is very pleasant as other reviews suggest. I tried based on good reviews. I think they send their clothes out, rather than do in house. They returned a pair of trousers to me without the fabric belt. Luckily they found it. These were expensive pants and you need the belt to wear them. I went here for a few months, based on the good reviews it received. They're right, the customer service is great. BUT the cleanliness of the clothes, specifically shirts, I'm getting back leaves something to be desired. Ring around the collar and the like remain after picking the clothes back up. The last straw for me though was the last time I dropped off shirts I pointed out a stain on the back of one. I got the shirt back, and the stain remained in all it's glory, not even slightly reduced. Now I just hope that they didn't set the stain into the shirt permanently.
