Unbelievably poor service!! Please stay away from this extremely unprofessional & rude appliance repair outfit, I could not consider them a company by any means. First off my initial experience with this repair man named Steve went okay until after he left and and I realized he was wrong in telling me my dishwasher handle was not broken, when he performed the "so called repair" my dishwasher wouldn't start and the handle would get stuck and would not allow door to close properly. When I pointed it out to him he discounted my concern & said abruptly "no it's fine, it's suppose to be like that". I should've of argued the point but thought he was the professional, I was terribly wrong! He cleaned out the dishwasher, reset the dishwasher & left, said it was working fine now. A week goes by dealing with the same faulty handle & dishwasher itself not working properly, it finally would not start at all again. I called my home warranty company and explained I needed to set up a return visit with Steve Appliance for recurring problem and unsatisfactory repair. They put in another work order and told me they should be in contact with me to set up another appt. but I did not here from them. I had to call home warranty company again & they called Steve Appliance only to have a very unfriendly lady named Aksana set up return visit. She did so, but she told me there soonest appt. was a week & half out just like the original appt.!!! Fast forward to appt. day which was on a Sat. With a time window of 11:00am to 3:00pm. I called the Fri. Before & asked if she could call me when the Technician was on his way since I have a family & errands to run on weekends, she said she would. Well, she called me Sat. morning @ 10:50 & said the tech would be at my house at 11:30. I said great, I'll be there. She calls back @ 11:14 and tells me that the technician was there and had been waiting for 10 min!! When I reminded her she originally said 11:30 she got annoyed & said "well that's just an estimate" I said ok I'm on my way I'll be there in 5 min. She said ok. I show up to my house @ 11:20 only to be greeted by my neighbor telling me the repair guy just left mad saying that "I should've been there & I had an appt. & he's not gonna wait any longer!" I immediately called Aksana back several times within minutes of speaking with her, NO ANSWER!! Left a message & my call was never returned...What a joke of a company, how these people stay in BUISNESS is beyond my comprehension!! DO NOT HIRE THIS APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE! read more

This guy was sent out to my house by my home warranty company to look at my dishwasher. He was at my house for a total of 30 seconds and pretty much said it was our fault that the appliance is broken. We let water dripped onto the panel from the counter and shorted the control. He sent a report saying that shit to make the insurance company deny my claim because he said it's not normal wear and tear. I didn't buy this dishwasher and the top panels are all seal from water. And the house is 10 years old. So if it's not normal wear and tear how does the water get in there in the first place. We wipe the counters clean after every meal everyday!!! Horrible tech, horrible service....negative stars all the way around. Don't use this company!!! read more

Called out for service spent less than 5 minuets here he reported to A. H. S. that a more than 10yr old machine was missed used that's why the tub bearing went out so the insurance declined to do the repair. American Home Shield Company should never do business with this. company. The guy was so rude was in my house less then 5 mins to check out my washer didn't want to turn it on or heard what was wrong with it he just looked under the washer and said its fixable I asked for a work order and he said no. he said that he needed to order the parts and my insurance company will contact me which they did and they told me he denied me and he told them it wasn't fixable and I explain to them that he didn't do anything and he was at my house less then 5 mins and he told me that it is fixable. I even told the insurance company ill email you the video of him getting there and leaving which they will see how fast he was and asked them what else can I do cause I didn't feel like he really check on my washer and I wanted them to send someone else out which they did and that company did fix it. horrible service with Steve read more

If I could give this company a zero instead of one star, I would ! This guy came out and looked at my stove and didn't even bother to even look at it to see what the error code was .....we tried to explain things to him and was short and rude ... he said "ok I call your insurance company and order part and call you in 3-5 days" I called my insurance company to find out status because I didn't hear from them and my insurance stated he diagnosed it with "excessive force" and it was denied. Really?! I explained to my insurance what happened and that his code was ready before the control board was loose. I explained how rude he was and they immediately sent out Sears to come look for second opinion... well Sears came out today and right away hooked up a device to my control board and said the code read a bad temperature sensor and that the control board did break off because the brackets on those eventually break off due to normal wear and tear. He replaced the control board with a better one and better brackets and now my OVEN WORKS and ITS COVERED! Amazing how a company like this expects to get good ratings. I called my insurance company to place a complaint so that they will hopefully remove this company from their roster. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ! The technician came to my house, spent less than five minutes looking at the inside of the dishwasher and attempting to run a wash cycle, and advised me the pump motor had burnt out due to food particles lodged within it as a result of not pre-rinsing the dishes. He said he would order the pump motor and come back to replace it. My home warranty, Old Republic Home Protection, contacted me the next day to say my claim was denied as a result of abnormal wear and use, presumably from the technician telling them I did not pre-rinse my dishes and the pump motor had burn out as a result. The owner's manual makes no mention of pre-rinsing and I had been using the same dishwasher the same way for many years without issues. In any case, I had the pump motor replaced a few weeks later on my own dime. I noticed no food was lodged within the blades of the pump motor as the technician had suggested. Additionally, the dishwasher still did not function after the pump motor replacement. The technician got his deductible for spending 5 minutes mis-diagnosing a problem and now I am out both a deductible and the cost of the motor pump replacement and I still do not have a functioning dishwasher. read more

Very unreliable and a liar. The guy Steve came to my house and checked out our microwave. The serial number that he was looking for has been worn out so he was unable to read it. He said he would be back and check it out but he had toKrebs bcus he has "a lot of customers" (more like, "a lot of BS and I'm too LAZY"). Anyways; the next day he calls my HomeWarranty Insurance and tell them a BS statement that the handle on microwave is broken by force. Obviously they believe this LAZY Asz. First of all, how old is the microwave (over 5 years old)? Second of all, if the handle was "broken off by force", wouldn't that mean something is wrong with it to be forcefully opened? Third of all, be professional and have the dignity to tell the truth. BTW everyone, discontinue or do not go with AMERICAN WARRANTY INSURANCE. If they are willing to hire this type of ppl to work on your home and have the nerve to tell you to go find another inspector and show proof of damage, obviously they are also at the same level of dignity and unprofessional as the ppl they hire. I would have been on if they hired someone else to evaluate the condition of OUR appliances. Wow, the guy who came out couldn't fix a sandwich let alone a dishwasher. His "diagnoses" didn't make sense at all, to make matter worst he said it didn't meet code because it didn't have an air gap. Well because of this guy telling the home repair insurance company it wasn't at code (it was the whole time) they put the breaks on repairs until it was at code. they gave us a chance to pay for our own inspection and they would listen to what they said then determine what to do. Because it was a new home purchase now we have to call the real estate person and the home inspector who's report stated the home was at code including the dishwasher. So now the agent calls the insurance company and got them to send somebody else out and the home inspector had to come back and show us that there was an air gap and the dishwasher was at code. The new repairman came and did an actual diagnoses and confirmed the dishwasher is a code and needs a new control board. STEVE APPLIANCE caused several people a lot of time and money because they do not appear to know what they are doing. Stay away from them. read more

Poor customer service etiquette and reports false information. Service men was at my home to repair my appliance. He told me that he has to search for the parts since my serial number was not available. Told me he will have to look through pictures to find it and have to order the part. He said he will report the finds to my warranty company.... The next day I get a call from my warranty company saying they will NOT repair or replace my appliance part due to force and not normal wear and tear. Nowhere did he ask me what happened. He did not inspect the damage, only search for the serial number. That was it. I have own my home for a little over 5 years now and the appliance came with it. Its wasn't newly modern appliance but that was ok. Along the 5 years, it has been use enormously by many of my family members. I am a homeowner who values her property. I did not damage my appliance by force. read more
