My wife and I moved to Southern Nevada 2 1/2 years ago, and my 1 stipulation was if we didn't buy a house with a pool we had to buy one that would allow us to build one. Our house backs up to the desert (as you can see) and we interviewed 3 different contractors. Not only did Steve Breck Pools come in as the least expensive, but Kevin (who met with us, worked through the design and helped us with the contract) and Grant (the most amazing Project Manager on the planet) were both fantastic. Grant kept us informed every step of the way with the project, was very communicative and is just a good dude. The subs they used were all pretty darn good, and I have videos I took (for facebook really!) for every step in the process. Our payment structure was straightforward and transparent, and they even went above and beyond when some of our rocks in the backyard were removed. Everything was put back together, our gate was replaced, permits were pulled...they literally did everything. What's more, just a couple of weeks ago I sent a text to Grant thinking we may have had a leak in the pool or the infrastructure. Both he and Kevin came out the next day, inspected everything and helped me determine we didn't have a leak (it's our waterfall). Think about that, almost 2 years after we signed the contract, they came out to help me out...even though it wasn't their fault at all. Talk about some stand up dudes. Made an appointment with the office and before scheduling I was told the price to build with them is $55,000. I would have to say in regards there statement I understand every business has the absolute right to price whatever they feel is needed or necessary. Yet to this I have to say, other builders who have 5 star reviews came in between $55,000 and $60,000 with waterfalls, and the design we wanted. I am not bashing this business period, they do have some really beautiful designs and pools, but the price was too high without even seeing our yard or what we wanted. Steve was honest, responsive to all of our questions, and always available. When he told us the pool would be ready in five weeks, all of our pool friends thought he was full of crap. The pool is better than we had ever hoped for! We have a small backyard and have always wanted a pool. We really like the house and the neighborhood, so we chose to put in a lap pool rather than sell and move to another house with an existing pool. Steve Breck Pools really came through for us! They were on budget and done more quickly than they estimated! They suggested 6 weeks from excavation to filling, and it was 5 weeks for our small pool, even with COVID restrictions. Steve designed a pool much nicer than we would have expected, with touches that we have come to appreciate every day, ones that we would never have thought to ask for. The decking is flat to the edge of the pool, without the typical raised bullnose around lots of pools, very comfortable underfoot. The sheer waterfalls was asked to have put in spray the water away from the tile walls, and are pleasing to watch and listen to. The drains around the pool are low profile and unobtrusive, easy to walk over. Grant was our project director, organizing the subcontractors and informing us on the timeline and giving us choices to make at appropriate times. Grant was excellent at communicating throughout the project, explaining things clearly at the proposal stage, explaining the choices and when we had to make the choices, getting the subcontractors to arrive one right after the other, and educating us at each step. His pool start-up instructions were clear and complete (as far as this pool newbie is able to see). We are absolutely delighted by the personal attention and obvious pride we saw in Grant and all the subcontractors. The pricing was competitive with other pool builders. We got 3 quotes, and Steve Breck was right in there with the others. We did _not_ get nickled and dimed on minor changes or the inevitable surprises in any big project. There was extra landscaping work that had to be done during the excavation phase, and we paid the excavator directly for the extra work required, without any additional markup. When we needed to work out either adding an extra course of cinder blocks to the wall or spending money on excavating to lower the ground level, Grant gave me accurate information on the costs, advantages, and disadvantages of both, and helped me make good long term decisions. Steve Breck Pools and Grant made putting in a pool much less painful than we expected. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose Steve Breck without hesitation! read more

Being new to the Las Vegas/Henderson area, I was a little overwhelmed at cost and lack of information when staring to look at pools. I did the usual online searches and knew the companies to stay away from. I also found some that were just out of my price range. Yet others did not want to talk over the phone, they wanted a face to face with a salesman. Here is where Steve Breck stood out. I started my search before my home was complete and before we closed with the builder. I knew this was going to be somewhat challenging due to the size of the property that we had to work with. I sent Steve a couple of pictures of pools that I found on the web that looked like a good fit. With those, he visited the site and drew up a sketch of exactly what I was looking for. His pricing was within budget, and we decided to go with him. I forgot to mention that all of this was done long distance, as I was in New Jersey! Permits were done the week that we closed on the house and it was started days later. Over the next several weeks, I was back and forth to New Jersey and was not able to watch the complete build. However, I was able to see the key items done when I was there. Steve has in his contract that the build time is 30 days. From what I heard from others, I was told that this is impossible. Although he did not hit the 30 day mark, he was not to far off. We did have some delays due to hitting rock while digging, severe winds and my ability to be there for some of the milestones. I would be remiss if I did not mention Grant, Steve's site foreman. He was professional and kept me posted as to the stages and schedules. I am a difficult person to please and I could not find 1 item that I would have done differently or that was not done as requested or to my liking. The Steve Breck Pool was by far the best looking and constructed pool. Their design work and attention to detail was excellent. Our pool was not an easy pool to build. The last 15 feet of our back yard was a slope causing the building of the pool to be significantly more complex than just a digging hole in the ground. I've included pictures of the finished product. I have zero reservations in recommending Steve Breck Pools for your custom pool design and installation. Since my installation, I have referred them to multiple friends. Steve (owner) and Grant (daily operations manager) provided excellent communication. The project stayed on course. Additionally, they accommodated several small in-project changes, which are sure to arise with a project of this size. They provided both a competitive price and a quality product. Following completing of the project, Grant was also available to assist with an automation/heater programming issue. Their service is much appreciated. I would recommend them to 99.5% of Las Vegas residents. The only reason that you might consider another builder would be for a completely unique design for a super high-end pool. Steve Breck wasn't able to speak with me for over a month because he wanted to go see the site. I told him that it was new construction and sent him pictures and dimensions of what I wanted. Steve insisted on seeing the backyard in person. We set a time for a month later for him to see the site. He was very upset that I couldn't meet him in person due to the second wave of the coronavirus. I explained to him that I was in quarantine due to coronavirus and that there was no need for us to meet in person for him to give me a quote. He saw the backyard, but was very upset that I couldn't meet him in person. Steve became very aggressive and obstinate. He told me that I didn't understand the way he worked and that he didn't want to work with me. Huge waste of my time. I would never want to work with this person or his company. This is our first in ground pool. We explained size and shape. He didn't understand. We wanted an L shape. He didn't seem to have a clue.
