On a road trip from NM to CA and around Payson we heard something dragging on our car. Luckily we were near Steve Coury and the guys there were able to secure our skid plate in less than 10 minutes. Horrible experience. Bought a vehicle from them to which I was lied to about the work done to it. Ended up leaving the truck back with them and it sat up there for a week to which they declined fixing anything. I go to pick up the truck and drive it home and they don't put the coolant degas bottle cap back on so it overheated and blew coolant all over the place. Also left the turbo boot loose and it blew off and dented my hood. Not a single sorry or remorse came from anyone about what has happened. I got a "not sure what you want us to do about it" response from service. Call to leave managers/owner a message to call me back multiple times and it takes them 3 weeks to get back to me which resolved absolutely nothing. Highly recommend not dealing with this company. Plenty of other ford dealers in the valley instead. Hopefully this helps others. read more

Anyway to give no stars? Or negative stars? This would have to be the worst Ford dealership I have ever been forced to use. Took our vehicle there on Monday, picked up Tuesday and returned it Wednesday the following day. Then it sat there for another week and a half. Always claiming they are "trouble shooting with Ford". Finally got ahold of Ford customer service and started a complaint ticket on them. They at least apologize for the horrible service we were getting. Finally completed the work and picked up today. These people drove our vehicle on test drives until it almost ran out of gas. Gas light was on and said we had 12 miles to empty. They have zero customer service skills and do not care. read more

trading in my car for a used car with these people has been a headache. I live 20 miles from the dealership. they made me drive there when it was discovered a spare key was missing. I was given a blank that needed to be cut and programmed at another dealership 79 miles away. But Steve Coury Ford gave me a " We Owe" and I'd have no trouble being reimbursed. just to get that piece of paper I had to drive the 20 miles to the dealership and they sent me 10 miles to the salesman, who sent me back to the dealership for signatures from various people. I still have not received the $90+ for cutting the key and programing the key. I have been to the office numerous times. I have people saying the owner wasn't able to sign a check till after the holidays. After the holidays they said they sent a check I never got. They said they sent it again and that was 2 wks ago. I'm suppose to have a check waiting for me today, if I go in. We'll see. On top of that for 2 months the loan company from the car I traded in we sending me late notices till Steve Coury Ford people finally did the paperwork. Save yourself the frustration go somewhere else. I went to get my check for the programing and cutting of a duplicate key. Instead of a check written today as I was told. Just want to follow up on my review of 8/30/2019 I had to ask there receptionist to have a manager read my post about there just awful service a person called Zack K sent me a message and said speak to Ben Clifton he will clarify the situation !!!! but I had previously wrote to the General Manager and copied the Parts Manager and Ford Motor Company quoting the case number that Ford Mtr. Company had allocated to this case but all letters were totally ignored. Therfore I did make the call to Ben Clifton on 9/11/19 at 1pm when I was put through to parts, I was told Ben Clifton was at lunch ok so I requested a call back at 2.30 as I had a doctors appointment left my name and number and was assured he would call me back well? I was back home by 2.20 and its now 6.13pm and still no call!! Is this the way Steve Coury Ford treat Customer now called them 4 times write to them and was told by Zack call Ben Clifton for what NOTHING!! yet they my sons car to ransom force him to Pay $300 for some parts he didn't order refused to help the tow company put the parts back on the vehicle so my son paid these costs also and they say they care about customers !! If you want service and deal with a dealer who provides first class the dont deal with Steve Coury Ford in Payson. They just DONT CARE ABOUT YOU !!! read more

First, I have to confess I'm awed that this place has enough friends and relatives to have given this place a rating higher than the minimum one-star available to attribute to a business. I contacted Steve Coury Ford in response to a recall letter. The letter stated the dealership is authorized to provide me with a rental vehicle until parts were in and repairs were made. Subsequent to that all taking place, Ford Motor Company would reimburse the dealer for the rental expense. The dealership refused to do this. Admittedly, the rental company they normally do business with no longer offered service in Payson. Nonetheless, in the interest of customer service, they could have arranged this with another rental provider which, by the way, FMC agreed to reimburse them for. In any case, Steve Coury Ford would have been reimbursed by FMC who called the dealership on my behalf to try to get them to "do the right thing" as the FMC rep put it. Unfortunately, FMC is not able to mandate that the dealership handle this the professional way. I presented my case to the Better Business Bureau (who has given the dealership a well-deserved F rating) with my dilemma. They contacted the dealership and they responded by telling them while I was at the dealership they called FMC and said they said it was an extended warranty issue and that I should pay for the rental and wait for the reimbursement. What a clever defense...but ALL LIES. First, all my interaction with the dealership was via phone calls and or emails. I was NEVER at the dealership relative to this issue. Furthermore, this was a recall and had nothing at all to do with an extended warranty issue. I replied to the BBB with this information and they sent my rebuttal to the dealership who has yet to respond. The BBB has closed this complaint as unresolved. FMC also keeps records of these complaints and the rep there was quite eager to corroborate my version of the events. I had a horrible earlier experience here with the purchase of a truck and would never have contacted them again were it not for the recall. Please spare yourself the potential for immeasurable grief by doing any kind of business with this unethical, deceitful, and prevaricating business. I hate to even drive by this place. read more

We saw a brand new car we liked and thought the price was good on the internet. We made an appointment with the sales person for the next day. They were not there so someone else handled the sale. We were told it had Navigation which we later found out to be untrue. The "closer" tried to run up the price on us by stating we needed to purchase a Paint Protection Package for like 2k. BTW you have to apply it yourself for 2 years after buy it. I was getting ready to walk out when the substitute sales person said why don't we just take that off. We bought the car then waited 1.5 hours for the detail. You could still write in the dust on the back of the car sure glad we waited for the detail. Later on a trip to New Mexico we discovered no Nav. I called and talked with the dealership they said "that model has no nav?" they SHOULD know. Then we got a call from the sales person who wanted me to change my review of the purchase that I got on my Email. So she wants a different review after not showing up and doing nothing to correct the Nav or Detail issue? Right! She told me that if I did she would give me a year of service. I can't honestly do that. Then started the issues with getting our License plate. I called 3 weeks before the temps expired no call back. I called 3 days before the plates expired and they blamed DMV but came back that day with plate numbers. Then the day my plates were expiring I called and they tried to tell me not to worry they would be there soon and I wouldn't get a ticket. I am not driving illegally. I can't believe that they were suggesting I do that. I paid for DOC FEES and REGISTRATION I should get that service. I spoke to someone else at the dealership and they said someone would bring them to me as I live about 45 mins away. I met someone that night and got my plates that were sitting on a desk since at least 3 days before. So if they had mailed them out on the expiration date I would have been without my new car for several days before I got the mail. The whole time we waited for the plates we were told several "stories" that couldn't have been true knowing that they came up with them on the final day. read more

So much for a full service dealership. We bought a used Ford and took it in to have the module programmed for cruise control, dome lights and door locks. They quoted us $105 over the phone. Took it in and "their program" didn't work so they wanted another $105 to "diagnose the problem". The problem, which took less time than it took me to smoke a cigarette to "diagnose" turned out to be where the fuse plugged in. They just had to squeeze the little prongs together so both sides made contact. So for less than an hours worth of work they got paid $210 and get this - they didn't have the program for the door locks or the dome light! REALLY!!!! They'll get it next week. If they think they're getting any more money out of me they are just plain crazy! I will tell everyone I know that the customer service isn't. I only got 1/3 of what I went in for and paid double to get it. I am so fuming pissed I can't see straight and will encourage anyone who needs Ford service to go to Phoenix. read more

I took my truck to Steve Coury for transmission repair, work to be done under warranty. The service was awful. I had to rent a car while repairs were being done, and was advised to call customer service for reimbursement. I am still waiting for a call back weeks later. They had my truck for 2 1/2 weeks, each day promising me that it would be done 2 days later. My rental car cost over $1200. The day that I got my truck back, Ted the mechanic assured me that it was done right, and that he "wouldn't let it go if it wasn't done right". The next day, the same transmission problem was still present. The transmission fluid leak was even bigger. I took it to a different ford dealership. They had to re-do the repairs and more. They provided me a rental car free of charge. They fixed it in 3 days. I spent over $1200 out of pocket for a rental car to use while my truck was not fixed. I advise all of my friends and family to stay away from this place!! Don't buy a car here, and don't take your vehicle here for repairs. They wasted my time and money for absolutely nothing. read more

The overall buying was experience was very good. The manager, Glen, took the time to find some discounts that the Scottsdale (valley) area dealers did not. The dealership followed through on their pricing as was discussed and there was no pressure or attempt to upsell items that I didn't need or want. Their normal delivery detail crew was absent the day I purchased my truck so Glen (mgr) gave me a detail coupon to be used at a later date along with two free oil changes. (much appreciated). The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the salesman told me the truck had a larger fuel tank (36) than it actually has (26) (he should have known). That was certainly disappointing. However the truck, a 2016 F-250 Lariat with Powerstroke is an awesome vehicle for towing or just running around and very comfortable, powerful, and quiet on the road. I really like the electronics and trailer towing heads up messages that are built into the system and so far the Ford Sync works perfectly and Mike did a great job of explaining how the system works and assisting me in getting it all hooked up to my phone/electronics. So far I have not had much contact with the Service Department so really can't rate them yet. I am looking at an aftermarket bolt in fuel tank (51 gal) made by "Triton fuel tanks" and have asked the service department to look into it for me, so I may have a further report on the service department in the future. I haven't heard back from them yet on their findings. Overall I would definitely recommend Steve Coury Ford over the Scottsdale area dealers that I visited. read more
