Had Chapman replace my driveline in May. Here it is Oct and found out they didn't put the clips to hold the driveline. They had my car all day just to order the part. I started off dealing with the service manager but he wouldnt respond when i did status updates. I had to talk to someone else twice - one for a status update when I had to finally walk in the dealership and again when i picked it up. Such a hassle. The service manager didnt have very good customer service skills as he ignored me when I made contact. Feb 18th. Our heater core on Ram 1500 went out near Holbrook, Az. On our way to Payson. Check AI and it told me Chapman was a Ram dealership! I made an appointment on line, set up appointment for the morning of the 23rd. Took truck to them! They inform you of working progress through messaging. Had not heard anything. Tryed to call, but their very good receptionist said Bobby will call you back! Never Happened!!! Drove to the dealership, told me they have to get a heatercore from another dealership, cost 50.00! Took two more days. Called again, got the very talented receptionist again, saying Bobby would call us back. Never happen!! The messaging said they were working on truck! The next day stopped into Chapman, they had not touch the truck! Finally after another day passes, We get a message that says the truck will be finished on March 6th. 2700.00 Later! We picked up truck, started our trip back to Wyoming an by the time we reached Albuquerque, NM . We had warm air on drivers side, cold air on passengers, side. AI told us that the Acurator was not plugged in. Called Chapman told them that the truck was not working properly. We were not turning around to go back to them, because we had been stranded in Az Five days longer than what we wanted to be an needed to get back to Wyoming! We called Bob Ruwart dealership in Wheatland, Wyoming . They got us right in! AI was right the Acurato, had not been plugged back in! Fixed for another 351.00. After calling Dave at Chapman, they paid the bill! Really recommend that Chapman sent their service techs, back for more training!!!! AI told us , that their was better servicr dealerships in Phoenix, but that was even more inconvenient! Please, up your game Chapman, train your service departm ent !!!! Had vehicle for 9 hours to realign springs. When they returned vehicle, one side gad been done. Said to bring it back to havevthe other side done at " no additional charge". I had already paid for the service, which I didn't receive..... Brought the truck baci in today and was advised they would have it outing a hour, after they had it for 9 hours the last time. We will see!!! Additionally, I was advised that they had a notice of loose bolts on these springs but didn't notify the owners. This is a reply to your lies Chapman. I used no profanity at your facility AT ALL. That is a straight up lie. See I posted time and date when you called me at end of this review. Check it out, many days before your lying reply. My experience with this dealership has been subpar. First, the oil change was $160. $40 to rotate tires. When I was sharing with a friend I felt the need to use dealer for warranty. When I stopped back by stating I could go anywhere for cheaper oil change/rotation with certified mechanic. I was THEN told I was eligible for two oil changes for that same $160 price. I asked why didn't you inform me at first oil change. She just kept repeating "We don't advertise that" Mean, greedy, don't care about your customers ... fill in whatever you think happened to me. Second, I had noise in the front end. Planned my day and left my car for six hours without bothering them. I went on CHAPMANS OWN LINK to check status of my car. It stated job complete by replacing struts including everything in front end work and job was completed. I thought great! So, I called what I thought was THEIR customer service there on location. Nope, got run around. Justin, who checked me in was no longer there and this call a complete bust. Justin, also didn't reply to THEIR OWN LINK with text messaging. I am sure he has a perfect explanation way he would leave me hanging ALL DAY when he knew my car was diagnosed within one hour of drop off and the info entered into their own system was incorrect. You understand that CHAPMAN? thought my car was fixed and it wasn't! Third, when I was leaving I saw my car was driven an extra 3 miles after diagnosis complete and signed off, and all the stuff in my back seat was thrown to the car floor which included a liter of heavy drinking water. This car was drove extra without my permission and brakes were abused causing my property to fly to the floor. From my understanding there was a mechanic fired yesterday and there are BIG internal problems. That makes sense cause of hiring sign at this dealer. Buyer beware ... I was not treated with respect nor caring as customer should be treated. Purchased a used vehicle through John German. He was very knowledgeable about both the used car industry and the vehicle we purchased. We felt no pressure to buy, and he was very accommodating as we moved from vehicle to vehicle. The only down side was the closing process which was typical dealer - time consuming. Not as length, with the pressure we would have experienced from a Phoenix area dealership, but still, plan on a few hours from entering the dealership to completion of sale. Been going here for 7 yrs for service on my Ram 3500. Mechanics were pencil whipping the 16 point Dodge Inspection that set off my CEL that was a EGR problem. Read the code and learned the Air Filter should be checked first before any further diagnostics. I found the air filter was plugged on the dirty side and had not been changed or checked. Could of ruined $1600 in EGR sensors. Tried to talk to Paul during the next service but he couldn't be bothered. The last service I was told I couldn't bring in my own Shell Rotella T5 oil that is recommended by Cummins to reduce shoot in the engine and DPF Filter. When I did my service Chapman charged me $200.00 for 3 gallons of this oil when Walmart sells it for $96.00. I was told the new service Manager didn't want customers bringing in their own oil. I have had mechanics leave radiator caps off and tools in my engine bay that I found after going home. I drove 77 miles one way for this poor service. Im going some where else that is farther to drive. Northeast Arizona needs a good Dodge/Ram Dealer. Only other dealer is in Flagstaff and the one in Show Low uses unqualified mechanics. I can't afford that. My vehicle was $64,000 new in 2017 and now the same truck is $80,000. Where is the good dealers at. Driving to Phoenix is not an option. read more

My car needed some service done and I heavily debated on going to the valley but figured this location would be perfect since it's in town. I had scheduled for a service on 5/17/23, I dropped it off a week early on the 10th and did not hear anything for approximately about 2 weeks just for an update. I had to call multiple times a day in attempt to reach someone and all I would get was a voicemail which still, no one would ever reach out. When I would finally get someone I was told "I'll call you back with an update" but of course would never get a call back. About a week or two ago we showed up and asked what was going on but they just blamed us that they couldn't get in contact with us but I never had a call or anything from their services. They told us we had to buy a new battery or they couldn't preform the services we needed, so I bought one and brought it right to them, we also told them they can text us since they "couldn't get in contact with us". Another week or so I get a message that the parts they were waiting on finally showed up, I was so excited that I was getting my car back soon.. or so I thought.. I had not heard anything, no update, nothing. last week Wednesday the 28th of June I texted the number asking for an update and I was told "Good morning. I will get an update for you here in a bit. I know we were waiting on parts the last I checked" I then responded "Okay! Thank you so much for your time, I received a message about 2 weeks or so that the parts were in so I want an update" it's been a week since that message and no response, still waiting on one. I will be going back in there to deal with this. It has been a total of 1 month and 3 weeks as of tomorrow. Even if it was time they needed, their communication really fucking sucks. If they would be communicative with their customers then maybe people would have more patience and respect. read more

Second time I've been to this dealership with a Grand Cherokee with awful service, overpriced, and they do not perform the services documented and paid for. Can't wait to get all the way home and see what kind of mess is under my hood. I'd love to support our dealership locally, but not when this is the result. I have lived in Payson for 3.5 years and generally drive to the Valley for service at Bill Luke (5-star service!), but I didn't have time off to get down there on time for my oil change. So I thought I'd give Chapman a second chance since it's been about 2 years since using them for an oil change and standard low-mileage service. My Jeeps are always less than 30,000 miles at the 3 year mark and maintenance performed every 5k on time. Wonderful service over 8 years since we first bought our Jeep Cherokee Latitude from their Sales Rep John German. Many satisfactory servicing done in the past years. Yesterday we traded our old Jeep for a slightly used 2023 Grand Cherokee Jeep Laredo, only 11,000 miles on it. The Wagon was in premo condition, and we were very pleased with the deal we got; both in our trade in AND low sales price of our Grand Cherokee. They even gave us an extra $500 military discount as my Hubby is a Veteran. Wow, such a deal! PLUS, our previous Sales Rep John German is now the General Manager, so our new Sales Rep John "O" ( tho' not really "new" been there 7 years) was kind, gracious, maga helpful, thoughtful and professionally sound. John O went our of his way to do many extra unexpected things for us: like helping us move everything from our old jeep to our new one; finding thigs in our old jeep we forget were there. John O took the time to help us understand our onboard computer screen; and even helped us the next day with our many various questions. We are in our 70's, and find technology to be rather intimidating at times. John O told us to come in or call anytime we need more info. The customer service here is exceptional. My first experience with them was when my wiper broke during a downpour. Michael in service replaced it for me in a few minutes for just the price of the blade. We then spent some time discussing what to add on to my Jeep! My wife dealt with Brian and Todd when she bought her new Ram. She encountered some issues with the computer system the first day and Brian and Todd went the extra mile to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. Calvin and Jim in the parts department worked with me on getting the best deal possible for a lift and new tires. They are always so friendly when I walk in and I enjoy just talking with them about Jeep products. When I've needed a ride after dropping off my Jeep for service, Dennis is there quick and gets me home in no time! Absolutely worst experience with any mechanic or service department ever. Brought my jeep to them for covered warranty work. The ASE Master mechanics then decided to proceed with unapproved and unrelated work and attempted to charge me extra for it. They told me the vehicle would be ready on Monday but Monday came and I heard nothing. Called Monday night and Tuesday and finally was told they were working on other vehicles instead. Kept my vehicle for 2 weeks for work that took less than 3 hours of labor. Upon picking up the vehicle they had to jump it. Sales manager told me I was on my own and they would not replace my less than 6 month old battery. I drove away with a vehicle I couldn't even start again once turned off. There are still issues with my truck that Eric (service guy) said would be taken care of once they receive a computer/code reader. I've been waiting about 5 weeks for the call, nothing. My car was towed in. It took them 3 days to get to it after reaching out to the general manager. Got the car back and 20 miles and a day later had to be towed I with the same problem. They sat on it for 7 days. So far it has been 5 days and 70 miles. Ok. Really poor at customer service and fixing things. Very disappointed. I have taken my truck here for every service need since I bought it new ($50,000). Each time I bring it in for warranty work they always tell me the same thing " we can't find the problem". I took my truck here for its first oil change (over $100), because I thought I would get the best possible service and care for my new truck. I was wrong!!!!!!! When I got home I was leaking oil all over my driveway and truck. I took it back and they denied causing the problem, and then when I asked them to wash my truck and the under side they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They brought the truck out to me still dripping wet, and again they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them to dry it. I have brought my truck in for an oil leak 4 times now and they still have not fixed the problem. (I will be contacting my lawyer to explore the AZ Lemon Law) Their service work always takes longer than they estimate, and not once have they offered a loaner vehicle. I would run away from this place except my truck is still under warranty. I have bought many new vehicles in my life, but this has been "BY FAR" the worst experience!!!!!! I wanted to leave a nice note about this dealership. I rented a Camaro convertible in Phoenix and was passing through Payson on my way to Albuquerque with my son. We had tried to put the top up but the mechanism stopped and would not work. I was in a panic. I stopped at this dealer unannounced and just asked if they had any suggestions. About five people from the service area came over to help and were able to help get the trunk open so we could fix the issue. They then told me no charge and they were happy to help.
