Carlos and Lois are good workers. Carlos was showing Lois how to cut open the ceiling nicely. Obviously Lois is the apprentice. When they looked at the leakage and opened up the ceiling, Carlo said it's not a big deal. I asked them how much would they charge, Carlos said he does not know. He usually will send in the job done and have Robert do the billing. Since they are referred to me by my regular plumbing guy, I thought I could trust them. The job was completed and finished in about 2.5 hours. Then I received an invoice of $886.00. The material, which is the wax ring that might costs $57.99. There is no material receipt that shows the material is $57.99. Then the labor was @180 per hour for Carlo and $130 for the apprentice Lois. So I have to pay $310 per hour for the labor. The charge is three times of the Union Workers. I don't understand. Then there is 1.7 % Venmo charge and $30 tax charge. Then he filed a mechanical lien on me and gave me another invoice, in which the amount is $1380.39. Pls. see the photos attached. Then the material goes up to $75.39 I don't want to say further. Please think about it yourself of this guy Robert's professional ethnics. You beg, I am taking him to small claim court. I do this not because of the money, but because of my moral responsibility.

Moeller Electric picked up the call on the first ring, and over the phone walked me through how to fix the alarm. It was very stressful, as the alarm was blaring in my ears while I was up on the ladder, but they stayed on the phone with me and walked me through it. They did not charge me for this. Also, Derek seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable guy. This review stems completely from the poor service. I initially contacted another electrician who is prominent on Yelp requesting a quote. After months of being given the run-around by them, we finally got an appointment set up at 3pm on a day in December. So 3pm rolls around and instead of the electrician showing up, I get a call from Derek at Moeller. He says he was they referred me to him. Not at all Derek's fault. I told him I had an appointment for pretty much right now and he hopped in his truck and came over. So I had a very good impression of him at this point. We discuss a number of things I wanted done and he lists a few options. Very helpful. Then he takes down my info, says he'll email me the quote and we part ways. Three weeks go by and I still haven't heard anything. Now I feel like I've been blown off by two electricians. Although that is pretty unprofessional, I don't want to find another electrician and go through the whole thing again. Plus, I liked Derek well enough when we spoke. So I call him back. He remembers me and apologizes for dropping the ball. We confirm my email address again as well as the details of the quote and he says he'll get it out to me soon. EDIT: When I originally wrote this review, it had been a long while and I thought Derek had ignored my second request. Recently, however, I have spoken with him and it turns out he had sent out a quote following my second request in January - but sent it to the wrong email address. I did go to pains to make sure the correct address was supplied in both of the above cases, but I do accept that this was an honest mistake. So my only legitimate complaint can be about not receiving the initial December quote in a timely fashion. I have increased my rating to reflect that. I am glad that many other people have found Moeller Electric's work to be great and I would have liked to find that out, myself.

When I voiced this to Omar at this company about the exuberant pricing he agreed with me and didn't understand why he charged so much. I expected Adam Chimney to handle it and instead gave my number to "Mike" who called yelling saying he will not be returning any money (I'm not exaggerating for effect: man called YELLING). I hung up and called Omar back and that was a week and a half ago. I've filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and we'll be handling and they are investigating this but I wanted to leave a review to warn any potential victims of these people.
