What an amazing experience!! I called this Tuesday morning and immediately was scheduled for that afternoon. He came right on time and fixed our commercial refrigerator and he came back early morning on Wednesday to fix two ac. He is so honest and knowledge. CJ's is the best! After 5 days of no AC in the middle of a week of 100 degree plus weather, Brad, of CJ's, went above and beyond to get us out of the heat. Rather than having us go through another hot night, Brad got the part needed and then stayed up in the hot attic space for over an hour or more, It was well into the evening before he was through, long past the time that he could have been home and relaxing. I came across CJs Mechanical on a 2nd opinion after I was highly disappointed with the quality of service from the first HVAC Company American Home Shield sent out when my Heater went down last January (2017). I spoke with Chris and Brad and felt immediately at ease with the respect shown to me. Brad completed some temporary fixing while awaiting the necessary parts, and explained clearly how my duct work wasn't covered but was also not related to the problem. AHS covered my second cost of getting my 2nd opinion through CJs Mechanical, and the 2 different parts Brad needed to get my place warm again (Ignition switch & control board I think it was). I was comfortable with Brad in my home and finding the proper resolution. In the summer, Brad was kind enough to work on his Sunday day off to help out my friend whose AC went down in 105 degree weather. Recently (November 2017) I had to have CJs Mechanical come over again (through AHS) because my heater stopped heating again after only running 3 times this winter. I explained to Brad, again I hadn't been feeling well with the heat on and when he went up on my roof, he discovered this time the gas valve was broke along with cracks in my heat exchanger. I discussed I have a family member receiving chemotherapy and I don't feel the unit has been healthy. He spoke with AHS, and was able to get authorization for replacement of my unit. I am so thankful. After having the heater go down 3+ times in less than a year, and feeling awful again when running the heater, headaches, and recent mild gas smell, I knew there was no comfortable resolution with repairs alone. I know a heat exchanger could have been switched out, but I am certain that would not have solved the overall problem, or improve the air quality coming into my home. I am so glad to have a reliable HVAC company and technician to ensure heat and a healthier environment in my home. You have to specify with American Home Shield your HVAC company choice if you want a reliable company CJs Mechanical. Granted I don't enjoy paying part of the cost but it's worth it for a healthier home. I know CJs is honest and reliable. They won't try to purposely make money off of you ... They will try to fix your unit first but they know it comes to a point that's not the right option. In time the replacement will save me Service calls costs, and AHS in repair and labor costs. My unit is 22+ years old. I am so thankful for the honesty and quality work. Thanks CJs. read more

I called several repair guys to fix the oven on my Dynasty (that went out of business 8 years ago, but repair parts are still provided through Dvorson in Sausalito). The two guys Dvorson recommended wouldn't come to Sonoma County. I made an appointment with Sears only to have the repair guy come a week later to say they didn't repair Dynasty ranges. More calls, no one would help. I started replacing parts myself, thermostat, valves--it's not that hard--but nothing helped. And then I call CJ's. It was days before Christmas and he was busy but he made it on Christmas Eve. He studied it, never got discouraged, and finally deduced the problem. He was able to locate the parts we needed at Asien's, drove there and returned to fix it. Thank goodness! It is Christmas Day and I'm about to cook Beef Wellington for 20 people. We had trouble with local AC contractors not showing up for a non working furnace. We went through AHS to get us a contractor. AHS was going to send a contractor from Sacramento to Chico. We did not like the reviews for that contractor. Read reviews for CJ's and tried to have AHS change our contractor request to CJ's. AHS would not change. I contacted Chris at CJ's on his way to work in the morning. He contacted AHS and had them change the work order to CJ's. Brad (Chico tech) from CJ's showed up the same day and fixed the furnace. We only had to pay AHS deductible for the repair. Excellent customer service!!! read more

YEA, I finally found a great appliance repair technician. Chris has great follow through, he ordered a part for my oven door and installed it when he said he would. He went above and beyond even helping me change my filter in the fridge. He didn't charge me an arm and a leg and he knows his stuff. I will be recommending him to everyone I know in Napa. I couldn't find a decent repair company that could accommodate my schedule and that doesn't over charge. He is located in Santa Rosa and was here exactly when he said he would be.
