New dentist, who dis? After my dentist of over two decades retired recently and sold his practice, it was time to move on to a new practice. My dad, my aunt, and my grandma all have been patients of Dr. Gardhart for a couple of years, and I was accepted as a new patient immediately. It's nice to know that I now have a dentist a little closer to my house (my last dentist office was across town on Sahara and Tenaya, while Dr. Gardhart's office is on Sunset and Pecos). A few years ago, I had to have a cavity on one of my front teeth filled and the filling fell out not too long ago. I considered having it replaced at my old dentist, but it wasn't bothering me too much so I decided to cancel. Eventually, I did have to get it done before it turned into a much bigger problem. They didn't have any dental cleanings open until October, which was fine for me since my last cleaning was in April (I see a dentist twice a year, sometimes three if I need dental work done). Fortunately, I was able to book my filling replacement for 8/14/25 at 7:45am. The receptionist will call you a week before your appointment to confirm that you're still able to attend. No confirmations through voicemail, however, and they have a $25 no-show fee if you don't cancel your appointment within 24 hours. I got there a little early at around 7:30am, but I didn't see any other cars around, so I wasn't sure if they were open yet or not. Someone else bound for Dr. Gardhart's office had pulled in just after me and they had went inside, hinting that they had opened. As I was a new patient, they gave me all the necessary paperwork to fill out and to give back to them once completed. I didn't have to wait too long afterwards to be called back. Here, they have TVs in the waiting room and in all their cleaning/exam rooms, something my old dentist didn't have. The TVs were playing a wide selection of country music videos. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Gardhart for the first time. He made my entire filling replacement comfortable, easy, and quick, though I wasn't scared of the anesthesia needle at all. Getting it put in wasn't too bad - it just stung a little and my gun line was all sore and itchy for a while after it wore off completely. The only thing I felt after the needle was a little bit of pressure from all the tools that Dr. Gardhart and his assistant used to replace my filling. Beforehand, his assistant took an X-ray of my tooth to check if the cavity didn't go any deeper into my enamel (good news, it didn't). Because I have no dental insurance, I had to pay out of pocket at checkout. I was also able to schedule my first cleaning here in October, which was perfect because I would be reaching six months since my last cleaning then. Living in Nevada for almost 25 years now, Dr. Gardhart is only the second dentist I've ever been to in town. Here's to being a patient of his for many, many years down the road! read more

I absolutely love Dr Garhardt. He's fantastic. But everytime i book for a cleaning 6 months in advance i get my appt canceled or they want me earlier. Once again it happened. They called to confirm. I called back an hour later for them to ask if I could come earlier. I could not i would be at work. So now she tells me the hygienist has an emergency that day and has to leave early. Which Is what they say every 6 months. It really means she wants to leave early so I can't come to my appt. Im sorry to have to leave Dr Garhardt because I really like him. read more

Dr. Garhardt explained everything throughly and made me feel more at ease with all the work I need done. The hygienist was also amazing.. Dr Garhardt is hands down the absolute best dentist I have ever, ever had! His work is impeccable! I know this, as being older now, I have required a number of crowns in the last 15 years. My background is as an Electrical Engineer, and an Manager of an organization of scientists, engineers, and technicians. I had a different dentist's office put in the first crown I ever needed. It didn't feel right from the time it was installed! However, when I talked to that doctor about the discomfort, his response was "you'll get used to it". I didn't get used to it, and it fell out within a month or two. I knew that I would never go back to that dentist! I was talking with my organization's safety professional about the situation, and he recommended Dr. Garhardt. My wife and I have never, ever, had any issues with the work he's done on us! I was refused to be seen for a cleaning because I didn't want to take medication prior to my cleaning for a very MILD heart condition. They failed to tell me about this on the phone when I scheduled the appointment. They said they asked me some health history questions on the phone, but I don't remember them doing that. The lady at the front made me feel like I was being portrayed as a liar! When I wanted to speak to the dentist he refused to come over. I wasted a part of my day by going here. When I mentioned that I have anxiety and don't like going to the dentist the hygienist said: "well most people don't and you don't have to worry because I'm not even the dentist. Your anxiety isn't a concern." How about you ASK why I feel that way! Please be aware that they will want you take an antibiotic prior to anything being done. This is something I've never encountered at an other dentist office. Why not make this A LOT more transparent! read more

I have seen Dr. Garhardt for several years, and he always did good work. Recently my dental insurance situation changed, and I was using Care Credit for medical procedures. The office refuses to accept Care Credit, I have asked to speak to Dr. Garhardt about the issue, but have not been allowed to. I'm not sure if the Dr. is refusing to speak to me, or the office staff are not relaying the messages. Unfortunately, I will be sealing a different dental practice. read more

After meeting with Dr Garhardt, I was provided with a Written Treatment Plan from the Office Staff. Both the Office Staff and Dr Garhardt refused to clarify my questions regarding the treatment being offered. Additionally, they refused to honor the correct pricing on my Discount Dental Plan. Rex Marvin is a tough guy. A man's man. He once wrestled Christina Aguilera for 3 hours over the last Twinkies. Rex lost. Rex is not ashamed. Most men can't get a piece of food away from Christina without a gang of bikers with chains, a Brinks Truck and 4 taser guns. She is a beefy gal. A hungry gal. A motivated Gal. Rex does have one fear. Dentists. Rex cries. Rex yells. Rex runs. Rex hides. Rex once spent four months in Jerry Seinfeld's gums to avoid a dental cleaning. Oh the iron. The man has a mouth like a giant horse from Mars. Warm and filled with Kassia. Rex would rather hide in his mouth then lets hands go in his. Where have those hands been? More importantly...were those hands someone Else's before they were the dentists? You never know. Dentists are insane. Dr. Garhardt is not only a good man but a great dentist. He treated Rex gently...which is the opposite of what Rex usually pays for. Rex has one rule...Gentle in the mouth...okay...that is one rule for him...but the ladies know that isn't true. Right, ladies? you're welcome. the staff is great, they treated Rex with respect and courtesy. The Dr. did good work and Rex is smiling happy. I am so thankful for the yelp reviews and Dr. Garhardt being in my insurance plan. I have not felt comfortable at the dentist for a few years now and my last dental appointment in 2018 I was not happy at all. This led me to look for a new dentist and Dr, Garhardt has very good reviews on here. Dr. Garhardt has a great patient bedside manner and from our discussion on my first appointment I have a lot of faith that he will do the most ethical thing for his patients. My dental hygienist, Tammy, is so kind and has a great personality. But besides all that, she is meticulous in cleaning your teeth and my teeth felt amazing after my cleaning. Let's just say I've found a new dentist that I actually don't mind going to now...and that's a big deal cause I hate going to the dentist. My entire family has gone to Doc for years. He's wonderful. He is the kind of dentist that puts everyone at ease, including those who need extensive dental work. Dr. Garhardt is professional and down to earth. He once came in outside office hours to help my poor husband who had (unbeknown to us) an abscessed tooth. He'd just returned from a fishing trip, it was a Friday night, and it was either the ER or Doc's office. He's just that kind if guy. He goes out of his way to take care of his patients. I believe he also takes just as good care of his staff, who are always warm, welcoming and helpful. Dr. Garhardt also cared for my disabled father, going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and care were top-notch. Recently my family relocated to Denver, and we are sad that Doc won't be our dentist any longer, but I had to write a review acknowledging his practice. I found him in Yelp, and you know what? Their office is excellent. I called after 5, thinking they'd be closed like most offices, and the very helpful receptionist told me how to get a discount plan (I don't have dental insurance) to save on my upcoming work, and gave me a code to save 10% on the plan (sure I'm sure they get something out of it, but who cares? They saved me over $200!). Front office people are nice, the dental assistants are nice, and Dr. Garhardt is cool and sets a comfortable and real tone. He's down to earth. TV's in every room, you can watch ESPN or whatever you want, they give you control of the remote. Generally, I don't like the dentist, and it's not my choice of things to do...but if I have to go I'm going to Dr. Garhardt. Jase PS I had a crown done. Earlier in the week I went to another dentist and paid $90 just to be told they couldn't tell if I needed a root canal and they wanted to refer me to a specialist. I did a walk in early in the morning the other day at this dentist office. I was greeted by a very nice lady named angel, I sat down to fill out paperwork and before I can even write my address down. I heard another coworker in the front YELLING and talking very rude and being disrespectful to this lady who helped me. It was very uncomfortable and I felt so bad for this girl and I personally wouldn't want to do business where I even felt uncomfortable myself. So I left and didn't even finish the paperwork. There should never be a reason for an employee to disrespect another employee in front of patients. read more

Dr Gerhardt is not only the most through dentist I have encountered in Las Vegas, he also really cares for his patients. I felt he really listened to me, it it was as if I did not have to tell him much. He seemed to know all about my mouth issues,such as clenching my teeth, TMJ, dry mouth just by examination as he was correct on all points. His receptionist was extremely pleasant to me, and to all who entered or was on the phone. The wait time was short. I recently found myself in the market for a new dentist (old one gave me a questionable diagnosis and I needed a second opinion) and wound up trying out Dr Garhardt's office. A good friend recommend him and I saw nothing but 5 star reviews on here so I figured he was my guy. They got me in for a checkup and cleaning within a week and everything went great! X-rays were quick and painless and they get sent straight to a computer screen right next to your chair so the doctor can review them with you and explain what's needed. Even the cleaning was relatively comfortable and I haaate having people inside my mouth with sharp pokey things! (Seriously, the sound of instruments scraping tartar off my teeth is like nails on a chalkboard to me) Despite my normal psychological discomfort I still felt compelled to tell my hygienist that it was the best cleaning I'd had in over 10 years because it really was! Other dentists I've gone to in the past have been using the method where they spray water on your teeth as they clean and providing the occasional suction to clear it out. First of all, that method can be real messy and half of what's inside my mouth ends up on my face (gross). Secondly, I have a deviated septum and general hay fever stuffiness in my sinuses that makes it difficult for me to breathe through my nose. Trying to explain that to my past hygienists has resulted in them looking at me like I'm some kind of wuss or drama queen when, in reality, I'm just not a fan of being literally drowned in the chair! That wasn't even an issue at Dr Garhardt's as they kept it simple, didn't crowd my mouth with unnecessary equipment and only did the rinse and suction part when needed. Color me relieved! So, if anyone out there is remotely suspicious as to why this doctor and his staff don't have one single bad review on here (as I was) just know that they're totally legit, professional and will provide you with the most comfortable experience possible. I only regret that I didn't start coming here sooner! read more

What a great place. I have been coming here for 11 years now. Dr. Garhardt is fantastic with people who fear the dentist. He will explain everything and take the time to make you feel comfortable. The cute women that work in the office make things a little easier to be at the dentist. The only problem I have is that they're so good, they are super busy. Ok, I admit I don't like dentists. But I went here for a check up and found I had 10 cavities. Really? Okay, I got them fixed, but it took me several trips. I was in severe pain after having a tooth extracted. I went back twice after the tooth was pulled because my pain level was a 10. I do not believe any Doctor should leave anyone in that kind of pain for 2 months. The dentist did nothing to help me with the pain, however, he did advise me to see Dr. James Gabroy, my family doctor and have him refer me to a neurologist, this would have taken months to schedule. My family doctor was very concerned that nothing had been done to solve the problem, but he was able to treat the pain without narcotics, and he then sent me to Desert Radiology for x-rays, which showed problems beyond my understanding. My family doctor gave me a referral to Dr. Jeff Moxley, who performs oral surgery due to possible infection in my jaw behind the tooth extraction. I then went to see Dr. Eric Bernzweig, my periodontist, to get a second opinion. Who, along with his wonderful staff were outstanding and setup an appointment with Dr. Jeff Moxley for me the day I went to see him. My appointment with Dr. Jeff Moxley in three days. The dentist's medical staff advised me that they could do nothing to help me until an error with my insurance was cleared up, which my wife took care of weeks ago. The billing sent to my insurance was wrong, as well as the quote for the work they want to perform. If you go to him, I wish you the best of luck, he is a very nice guy, however, he and his staff lack professionalism. Plus, the girl who took over the insurance quotes is very lacking in knowledge.
