I have been through way more with my teeth than the norm. I first saw Dr. Rhodes a few years ago for a second opinion after having been diagnosed with jaw bone loss from genetics and osteoporosis medications that I took for over10 years. The news was horrible for me in that the implants I had were all loose and needed to be removed and there was not enough bone for anymore implants. I had seen a well-known oral surgeon in Summerlin who told me nothing could be done, that there was too much risk of infections to basically rebuild my upper jaw. It was terrible news! After diligent research, I finally found Dr. Rhodes who told me he felt he could help me. What a relief just hearing there was a possibility that I could have certain procedures done and still have more implants ... and not have to wear dentures. After finishing all the necessary surgical procedures by an oral surgeon Dr. Rhodes highly recommended, Dr. Rhodes designed and perfectly fitted the most beautiful, natural looking teeth anyone could ever want. Dr. Rhodes is a perfectionist, extremely meticulous and he knows exactly what looks good and natural. He is a true artist and knows the precise size and shape of the teeth that will look the best on each individual (since we are all different, it's not one size fits all -- not even close!), so I was very fortunate to find him. DR. RHODES IS THE BEST!!! Because of gum problems, I had to have all of my teeth pulled out, and have a bone graft done in preparation for dental implants at a dentist's office in California. When I got my dentures, they were very uncomfortable and constantly had to be adjusted, which worked for a day or so. I could only eat certain foods and the dentures would unexpectedly fall out. I didn't know any better because I had never had implants before, and I thought I would have to get used to it. For three years, I suffered with these dentures, which were so bad, that I hardly ever wore them. I didn't know that I should have gone to a prosthodontist and not a regular dentist. When I moved to Las Vegas, I could not handle the pain anymore, so I went to see Dr. Rhodes who is a prosthodontist not far from me. He told me that my dentures were the worst example of dentistry that he has seen. The fixtures were drilled in the wrong places, they were not made and fitted correctly, and the cheapest materials were used. He spent a lot of time with me explaining everything clearly. He would have to make a whole new set of dentures with numerous adjustments to adapt to the bad job that the California dentist did. I took a leap of faith and had him make new dentures. It wasn't cheap, but I am SO happy that I had Dr. Rhodes make them. I could not believe the difference! They were perfect! No pain, or discomfort at all. I could eat whatever I wanted, and now I can wear them all of the time. It has been over two years, and I have not needed a single adjustment since then. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rhodes and his staff. You are seen in a timely manner, they are very nice and professional. Thank you, Dr. Rhodes for giving me a nice smile. I wanted to write a review about the kind, gracious and skilled dental professional, Dr. Steven Rhodes. When I first came to Steven (Steve) about 15 years ago, I had a lot of problems with both my teeth and gums related to a bit of neglect and utilizing some lesser skilled dentists who were available on my dental insurance. I had issues like gum disease, poorly fitted crowns and an overall lack in the appearance of the teeth. Steve and his skilled hygienist, Debbie Weisheim helped me get back on track and feeling good about my health and appearance again. As if all of this weren't enough, I had a serious equestrian accident just a week before my wedding day! It was Steve's day off, but he came in to repair my four broken front teeth (yep folks, true story). The amazing part was my new teeth looked even better than my old ones. Years later, working with this consummate professional, I have chipped teeth countless times with my lifestyle of sports and equestrian. I recently went to see Dr Rhodes after a terrible fall from hypoglycemia and as a result I broke off two of my front teeth. I've had work done by him in the past, but the procedure I needed this time had me in a panic. I needed to have one tooth extracted with bone grafting. I went in terrified after having nightmares, but I knew it had to be done. After some painless injections I was shocked that I felt nothing!!!! I didn't even realize the tooth was out. If want the best you go to Dr. Steven Rhodes. I came to him after having a very bad experience with a dentist (Dr. Maurice Vargas-do not ever go there) who could not fit me with a partial. After three partials and 30 visits he could not make a partial and caused me to have pain and blisters on my gums while Dr. Rhodes made me happy on the first partial with just a few visits. If there was a 6th star option I would have picked that for Dr Rhodes! My cousin is very skilled and reputable endodontist in the Las Vegas area. I went to see my cousin after a few older root canals and crowns were failing due to being poorly done by a dentist when I was in college. After taking a look, my cousin asked me who my general dentist was and I mentioned that I really didn't have one. I had been bouncing around to different dentist - none of them apparently very good. My cousin mentioned that my veneers as well as my crowns were very poorly done and that they would cause me major problems down the road. This made me quite nervous of course. I asked my cousin who he sees for general and cosmetic dentistry and without hesitation he said: "You need Dr Rhodes! He does the best work I have ever seen. He is not just a prosthodontist and general dentist but he is an artist who is meticulous."
