This place was just ok. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich I had was the best part. The bagels tasted like nothing. The latte was just OK. Nothing special. Barely any espresso. Service was ok. The branding and decor were just ok.

Steven's Cafe is the best coffee shop around. The almond croissant is out of this world and taste like a pastry made out of some fancy European bakery. The almond past filling is insane and I would eat this every day if I could. Now when it comes to coffee, you cannot beat the iced caramel macchiato. The staff is always super friendly and the cafe is super clean and a great place to relax and chat over coffee and a pastry. Grab some Steven's cafe next time you're walking by the river walk!

Once again Steven's get it wrong. Ordered a bagel toasted dark with cream cheese. Not toasted. I dont understand how one place could be so bad all at once. Its continual. Second time today they screwed up an order which i why i am putting in two reviews. Not only overpriced, low quality food - but the level of ssrvice continues to fall short.

Super hot inside with somewhat slow service. 1/3 macarons was stale. They don't tell you that credit cards carry a 3% surcharge fee, and that cash use is encouraged. Food was just okay, but definitely not worth the price. Protein smoothie (Almond Joy) tasted chalky with synthetic vanilla protein flavor added in. Overall an expensive mistake and a no.

You can't beat the view! The pastries and drinks are also pretty good with many selections. They have outdoor seating or indoor and are situated next to a real estate agency for luxury homes in the area. We need more little places like these here!

Stopped here for dessert and a glimpse of the city view one night after dinner. The staff was super friendly and we stopped by about an hour before closing. We got a hot chocolate and a decaf cappuccino. The cappuccino tasted like pure water to me, not very good. The hot chocolate was alright, tasted powdery. Nothing special really. We also got some treats. They have bags of popcorn out with fun flavors. I got a fruit medley flavor and that was delicious. (Low calorie too!) I also got 4 macaroons and 2 eclairs. I got the Nutella and my boyfriend got just regular vanilla creme. He wasn't too thrilled with his and I thought mine was actually pretty good. The Nutella creme was great, the nuts on top were fresh and crunchy. The macaroons fell super short for me. The actual treat itself was baked perfectly, perfect size but the flavors just weren't there at all. The pistachio was bland, the strawberry poppy actually tasted bad to me. I ended up just buying the rest and tossing them. This place definitely has some good options, I don't know if it was a freshness issue or not but some pastries are great and some just fall short.

I'm honestly surprised I have the self control to not visit Steven's everyday. It's my go-to bagel spot; The New Yorker is seriously among the best lox sandwiches I've ever had. I also love grabbing a detox juice after working out! Since COVID they no longer have indoor seating to promote social distancing. However there are still tables outside! I just take mine to go, but it's nice to know there's that option. They have a digital menu board instead of just the paper menus they used to have when they first opened, which is great. I normally order a sandwich, coffee, or green juice (all great), but one of these days I need to treat myself to one of their baked goods. They always have a wide variety of macaroons (including interesting flavors like birthday cake and Nutella!) and they also have eclairs right now that look amazing.

This would be an amazing 5 stars if they had a toilet. Except for that they are a must try. First their coffee is reasonably priced. They also have an assortment of pastries, macaroons, cakes, breakfast options and paninis. And on top of that they are fast, the waiters are nice and attentive. They have a pretty spacious interior and have nice decorations, their vibe is kind of industrial. This is a must try, and if you do try you will come back guarantied!

It's always a nice stop along a walk by the Hudson River. Probably not your typical artisanal café in Hoboken that carries hand crafted nitro, this place does offer wonderful service and a variety of drinks and food to fuel your adventure over here.

I actually found this place here on Yelp, I'm visiting a friend living in the area. First off, the cashier was super rude for some reason. The only reason I proceeded with the payment is because I was starving and had no energy to do my research again. 3 people ordered after me and got their drinks sooner than I did. Kind of weird. Panini is horrible, all I could taste is mayo and some weird spices. Tasted like a gas station sandwich for $5-6 to be honest. I felt like drinking some coffee, after finishing my juice (juice was good, thank God) and whatever I could eat of that sandwich , but I just didn't want to spend any money there :// Such a nice area and such a disappointment.... UPD: It also tells a lot that the owner labels his customer as a "slander" (that's how he referred to me in his response, not sure if it is visible publicly) You may be surprised but I spoke to another friend who lived in the building for several years, that the food was never good, as well as the coffee . Surprisingly, some ppl voted for my review...must me some miserable slanders! I didn't want to say that, since it had nothing to do with my experience. I never insulted anyone in my review, but the owner's response shocked me even more than the customer service. I now see that it made no sense to even review the place. You could have messaged me directly to find out the details Have an amazing day and good luck with the business

The place is nice inside with plenty of seating and they have outdoor seats as well with a beautiful view of the city but I wasn't trilled about the customer experience. The iced chai latte was great and the egg avocado wrap was tasty but the m&m cookie that I got was stale. I will return for the iced chai but that's about it.

I live close by, so I enjoy walking to this cafe frequently. There are a lot of different options for drinks -- from everything to coffee, cold brew, lattes, and fruit smoothies as well. The cold brew is my favorite if they have any left for the day! I've also tried the Pistachio Escargot pastry and that was very delicious. Definitely recommend getting any of the pastries heated up. There is also a large selection of macarons but I have never tried any from there - they do like delicious and there are a huge variety of flavors. The pastry case is pretty stocked so I usually end up getting something from the case. 10/10 recommend checking out the place whether you're a local or visiting the area. Enjoy!

It was a light, summery appetizer in which the earthiness of the beets was offset beautifully by the bright citrus notes. For the entrees, we got the Truffle Carbonara, Pistachio-Crusted Branzino, and the Hanger Steak. All were exceptionally good! My steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, was well-seasoned, and was taken up an extra notch by the delicious peppercorn sauce. The branzino was also a big hit with both people who ordered it. They praised the dish at length, and one person kept going back for more bites even after announcing she was stuffed! I definitely recommend having a reservation as they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. The Cappuccino was well-made, soothing, and gave me a much-needed caffeine kick. We got one sweet & one savory dish because that's the best way to brunch! The Steak & Eggs was surprisingly good! The hanger steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. I had asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled and I felt like they were a touch overcooked but still enjoyable and paired well with the steak. The brunch potatoes could've been way crispier but I did enjoy the peppers & onions mixed it. The French Toast was fantastic. The coconut butter was a nice addition and it was the right sweetness level overall. Good try for brunch!

While the inside of the restaurant isn't large (note they have a larger back patio area as well) it's cozy and parties of two may share a larger, communal table which can be a nice way to make friends should you choose. As others have noted it's a BYOB place with a convenient local wine-shop just a minute or two nearby. The menu changes regularly though we got many of the classics that have stayed on the menu (only missing the Angry Chicken which we'll get next time). The pastas were delicious though I wish the rigatoni was a bit saucier and really enjoyed the ravioli which had a lighter, mid-summer flavor with some pine-nuts for extra texture. The ricotta bread and honey was tasty though a large portion for two people and we felt that the standout was the halibut. My only complaint is the 3% mandatory card-processing fee (which at least is prominently displayed). Please also note that this restaurant calculates tips based on the total, not pre-tax amount and the waiter tends to hover while you swipe your card which can feel a bit overbearing.

Honestly this would have paired perfectly with the toast but it was brought out after the toast was finished. We ordered two pastas: the rigatoni and the malfadine. Both were great and cooked perfectly. The quality of ingredients were a standout in both of the dishes. Pork pampanella was the most tender pork I've ever had. Basically melted in your mouth. Very fatty and heavy (a little too heavy...) but delicious. 4.5/5 overall. Some of the dishes were missing a little something to take it all the way but I'd still recommend this spot tho. Also it's BYOB!

The second course was halibut with risotto and crab and there was so much meatiness. It was my favorite place and the flavors went so well together. Next was grilled oysters and I've never liked oysters but these were amazing! The bacon and breadcrumbs that had a slight lemon flavor went so well with the oysters. Next was lamb loin with stewed white beans and carrots. The lamb was medium rare, I could have skipped the beans but that's me.
