This review is for the structure of this company between agents and their underwriting department. Although I love being a longtime loyal customer, this past issue really highlighted a huge problem in efficiency and it's truly disappointing because If your agent can't help you, you're SOL because they won't even transfer you to a supervisor. An SR-22 should not take over a month to process. We can't even reach a supervisor who is knowledgeable about the case because the underwriting department handles SR22. Every time you call you're directed to your office and it's the same agents you speak to. So if they can't help you, you're SOL and license suspends and then what's the point of the insurance coverage if you can't drive? My husband was previously insured at GEICO who gets their SR22 filed same day AND emailed to him. He can then go to DMV and process it immediately. DMV actually instructed us to do so and is shocked State Farm can't provide. As a major competitive insurance company, it's insane to see how this is handled it's not just isolated but through reddit with many other customers as well. After we got married, State Farm agent says I need to add him on my policy but then they need to file his SR22 and have no idea how to do it nor how long it would take and now it's been over a month since he's unable to drive. I feel as if I never did that all this trouble could be avoided. read more

After our former agent Ken Smith sadly passed away and his office got dissolved, Steven ended up taking over our business in August 2022. He reached out and we were able to meet in his office. Quite a positive change as we used to converse via email with Ken's office and we started losing faith in State Farm as a lot of our suggestions for coverage and a claim for storm damage were initially declined (but another local State Farm agent was able to help us file soon after). We can say that Steven's office is "with it" and communication since the change has been a LOT better. State Farm has been a part of my life since 2002. That is 20 years ago. My insurance representative is Kimberly Huang. She has been fantastic! She is knowledgeable, great at explaining things, and honest. The honesty is what I feel like is harder to find these days. This is why I am a State Farm - Irvine member. It has to be this agency because both ny parents have been going here... I am pretty sure when I was a child. Truthfully, this State Farm is like family to me. I even still recall Steven Wang's father, Jonathan who used to run this agency. My folks and the Wang family have even become family friends. I remember going to family dinners and weddings. I know it is not a good idea to mix personal with business, but in this case I am letting it slide! They are seriously wonderful pimple. As previously stated I have been using this agency for 20 years. It was my first car back in 2002, which was the 2003 Toyota Corolla. Being a new driver, I still recall Jonathan Wong offered classes. I took a couple of them. I am not sure how other insurance agencies operate, but as a young adult I loved it! You can say I got grandfathered in and I plan on staying with them for as long as I can.
