Then she flipped through colors based on my season. I was so surprised by my results because I thought I had pale skin and had been wearing darker clothes, which made me look older and tired. She even helped me find the right jewelry color, hair color, and necklines to match my face shape, patterns, and makeup palette. My lipstick colors were a bit off because darker berry tones made me look older and pale. However, the rest of my makeup products were perfectly suitable for my color. I even got the correct jewelry colors, except I have to ditch the cheap silver necklaces and black chokers. After the appointment, she sent me the full results. Remember to arrive at your appointment without wearing makeup and glasses. Bring your everyday makeup for analysis. She can also analyze two people per session. She applies a numbing cream. Sets it in for a bit then starts needling. 6. Finished! She hands you a mirror to see how you like it so far since she genuinely cares if it matches your preferences. 7. Afterwards you get a cute mini hustle butter to apply on your brows. Safe to use and smell so much better than aquaphor. 8. Gives you a run down on after care and lets you know to text her if you got any questions. 2nd session for touch up - Quicker session since it's just to check up if you want it darker or wanna add more detail. I was amazed by Tongtong's honesty, transparency, and experience, whereas a few other artists just recommended me the most expensive service rather than the most suitable one. Tongtong spent more than TWO HOURS on the nano blading eyebrows. She is one of the few and most detail-focused experts I have ever met: many times I was like "this part looks good/shall we move forward?" She was like "No this is not good enough. Please let me adjust it."----a note: nano blading eyebrows require the artist to design the eyebrow hairs ONE BY ONE. My eyebrows turned out to be so natural and amazing! Everyone, including my colleagues and even my dentist, first thought was they were natural, and second thought was "what is the artist's contact information?" Tongtong offered FREE touch up within 3 months, versus many other studios would charge $50-$100 after the first appointment. There used to be another 5-star review here that guided me to schedule my appointment but apparently it got removed by Yelp? :-( Hopefully mine stays put :-) The outcome I wanted was a natural looking set of eyebrows but a lot of shops make them either too dark, orange-y, or overly shaped. So I appreciate all the photos that Tong provided on Yelp to validate her consistency and incredible work. It's exactly what I wanted! Tong has been doing eyebrows and other cosmetic services for 6 years but is pretty new to Yelp (she uses other apps like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book or the Chinese version of Instagram). I reached out to her via Instagram as she doesn't yet have a website. She doesn't use IG often so we had back and forths for about 2 weeks before we finally got something scheduled. I also had a lot of questions and she helped answer everything before we got to scheduling. The procedure took a little over 2.5 hours and I appreciated how detailed Tong was. She first outlined what the shape would look like and got my approval before starting the actual process. The numbing cream was clutch; I didn't feel any pain! Afterwards, she texted me instructions on what to avoid doing over the next 7-28 days, and also sent me home with some saline wipes for the next two hours after as well as instructions for the next two days (simple steps to wipe the brows and retain the pigment). She rents a room inside the nail salon so just head into Sassy Nail Spa. It's located in a big outdoor shopping plaza so lots of parking (and food options).
