So many people complain about this place... if you want a great worker who will come and explain things to you ask for Jason. The other one is the one who doesn't want to come and help or come look at your appliances he's rather talk on the phone or guess. Jason will stay till it works or try's hard to get it to work. Or keep coming back till it works. He's friendly and doesn't care if you watch him. All because some people have problem with 1 worker doesn't mean the place is bad. It's a good place.id suggest getting the extended warranty. They bring out what you ordered and take away the old. This saves us a lot of money.sometimes the person can't come out due to being over booked or helping other people making sure their appliances work before they leave I appreciate this. I can wait knowing I will be given the same respect. And they are so friendly even during covid. And I've read the complaints people always have to complain. Nothings ever good.. but this company has been great to so many people only the few bad apples are on here complaining I'm sure they have a lot of good comments but only complainers come on here.my work loves them and so does my neighbors.. don't order a stacked set it's hard for anyone to take down and repair make it easier. And Samsung even the Samsung reps don't understand their products.. it's a hard product to fix and Steve's tries. The guy Jason who repairs he's so nice and friendly. He even calls when he's on his way. I've been rescheduled a few times.. it's a mom and pops store things happen they aren't a big company so you have to have patience. My wife and I went to to Steve's because a friend of my wife had told her that they purchased a dishwasher there, they said the the customer service was incredible. We went there and pretty much experienced the same customer service. They took the time to walk us through all the various appliances they have helping us to narrow it down to exactly what appliances we wanted. We ended up buying a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. When they showed up with our appliances on time, they were very professional, they brought everything in, they installed our new dishwasher and they switched the door to our new refrigerator to the opening preference we wanted, and then set the refrigerator right into place. Although no appliance center will hook up any gas appliances, they did take the time to set the range inches away from where we needed it and then they then took the time to explain to us exactly how to hook it all up. If you are looking for appliances don't bother going anywhere else, if you go to Steve's you won't regret it. Thank you Steve's for making our appliance shopping a great experience! read more

Long story but pretty much I went to buy a fridge. Bought one, they told me it would fit in my space. Delivery got there and pulled the old fridge out. They scratched up my new hardwood floors getting the new one in. New one wouldn't fit. They told me to cut the trim boards and it would fit but that seems ridiculous to do for a fridge that was supposed to fit. The side of the fridge was all scratched up from the countertop and them trying to get it in. I called the store wanting them to take it back. They tried to charge me a restock fee. So i went back to the store and talked to the owner, Irv, who was apologetic until his employee Matt came by and said that he never told me it would fit. (Delivery should have measured and realized it won't fit before scratching my floor.) Irv turns me over to his sister who was very rude from the start and they tell me I'm a shitty customer. They offered me a different fridge through home depot websites and told me to go there. These people preach Christianity all day but do not practice it. Don't fall for the scam. read more

I don't understand the one star reviews. We have gone to Steve's Appliances three times now (most recently for a dishwasher). We had GREAT service in the showroom- Kara was very informative and helpful. Brian delivered our dishwasher today. He was careful with our home- made sure not to make a mess, was gentle with the dishwasher so as not to damage it. He found a problem with the wiring of the old dishwasher (scary) and fixed it as he installed the new one without any additional charge (normally a $100 fix). They took away the old one for no cost and delivered free as well. Brian took time to explain everything I needed to know about my new dishwasher. I couldn't be more pleased.The savings on our dishwasher over big box stores was easily over $300 dollars. I will ONLY every shop at Steve's for appliances. We have purchased a number of appliances from Steve's over the years and we have had nothing but good luck both with the sale (always a very competitive price and usually lower than the major stores) and service. We know many families in the Mounds View and Shoreview area that purchase from them. On this last sale (LG washer and Dryer), we contacted Steve's in a panic as our dryer had stopped working (for the umpteenth time) and it was time for a change. We called at around 11am on a Monday, spoke with Sarah who was very responsive in getting the order into LG and on a truck to their store by Wednesday mid-day, and then delivered to our house and installed (old Washer and Dryer removed no charge) by Wednesday at 3pm. We think that's the advantage to working with a smaller family owned business like this. Also the price was $130 less for the pair all-inclusive. Very happy! read more

Absolutely top notch all 3 times coming to Steve's Appliances for different appliances! Every time I came in, they asked if I was looking for Used or brand new, no attempting to upsell! I truly felt cared for. Delivery setup was convenient and the delivery men were just as polite and highly knowledgeable, thorough, and expeditious. My 1st visit was for replacement parts for my washer. I was greeted wonderfully, the salesman was very attentive, if he didn't have the answers he admitted it and asked another staff member. Their prices for replacement parts were even cheaper than what I found online. In the end it was still cheaper to buy a refurbished washer than to order the replacement parts. Delivery time was spot on and very fast, even up 2 flights of stairs. Best part is they take the old unit away for free! I highly recommend Steve's Appliances! read more

I called Steve's Appliances a few weeks ago because I was desperate to get new a/c wall units installed in my condo. The heat has been unbearable, I live on the top floor with no shade since our condo association cut down the trees, and I was worried about both myself and my dog. I had already suffered heat exhaustion a few days before I called. When I talked to Steve, he quoted me $849 for each unit plus tax and did not offer any help or suggestions. He really could not have cared less and did not acknowledge my concerns at all. His demeanor, attitude, and tone were kind of disgusting. I felt like my small job wasn't worth his time. What is sad is that another company gave me Steve's number along with a couple more, but none of them could help me. I will tell everyone I know to take their business elsewhere. read more

I have been going to Steve's since I moved to New Brighton in 1992. Everyone there is great. They will help you fix your own appliances if you are inclined. They have a great selection of appliances and will go the extra mile to find what they do not have. I recently purchased a microwave from them and am impressed with the way it works. Delivery and installation was right on time. The installers cleaned up after they were done, were friendly and prompt. About 10 years ago, I was out of town, and my wife bought a refrigerator from a competitor. She did not measure correctly, their response was to leave it in the middle of the kitchen and leave. I bought a washer and dryer set three years ago and a refrigerator one year ago from Steve's Appliances. With both purchases, the sales people were very helpful. I worked mostly with Suzanne and she was very patient as I had a lot of questions and couldn't make up my mind! They have always been prompt with returning phone calls. When the delivery guys brought my refrigerator, it was a little big for my space and they worked with the space so it would fit better. They were exceptionally patient and helpful. I am stunned at the reviews I am seeing. Mabey these city folk are making a political statement on religion. It could be that they cannot grasp the concept of not using minorities for delivery.
