Great food!!! Fast Service... l would Call ahead sometimes the hours are different. Love their pizza and subs.

When I was a child, I hated pizza. It wasn't until I was 12 and had Steve's cheese pizza that I changed my mind. Which in turn changed the entire trajectory of my life. this was 100% my go-to place growing up. if it was my choice, every special occasion was accompanied by steve's pizza. i brought it to the bowling alley for my birthday parties, too many slumber parties to count, and if it was my turn to choose where my family was going to have a fun meal out, it was always going to be steve's. this tradition (read: addiction) has continued through my teenage years where i would leave AP calc and pick up a steak sub, all the way through my adult years, bringing my mom lunch from steve's and always paying steve a visit when i would come home from college for Christmas or Summer break. unfortunately, i live thousands of miles away from steve's now but i still think about it every once in a while. We were down visiting Camp Durant with the scouts and had dinner on our own.. so we packed up the car and decided on trying to something local versus the same old fast food chains and I would day, I was pleasantly surprised how good this food was. First, the place looks not very inviting, but the 2 ladies working the front were super friendly and super busy. We just ordered pizza and the boys wanted fries with their pizza. And it was very good. Being from the Raleigh area, I am tired of the pizza disappointment and was glad to find good pizza. Unfortunately it's 90 minutes from us, but it will be our go to place from now on when we're camping or visiting camp Durant. Great Job! read more

Food and service has been excellent each time i have gone there. Great place to pick up food or go inside to each.

My all time favorite Philly cheese steak sub also get the fried rice and chicken wing combo with an egg roll. Their egg rolls are home made and the best I've ever had. Their rice has the veggies and egg in it which most Japanese restaurants don't even do Any anymore. And they're special sauce speaks for itself read more

the food is ok if its not burnt and the order is right. 45 dollars for 4 burnt subs and 1 with the wrong toppings. about 1 out of every 3 orders is something wrong. good luck read more

Great food however takes forever. Ordered food at 5pm on a Saturday, was told 20 mins for pick up. I waited over 1 hour at the place for food. Nice staff just unable to manage workload. read more

I've been wanting to go here for awhile so I finally did. It's a small space but very warm and inviting. You order at the counter, from some very nice and helpful women, then sit and wait for you hot gooey goodness. I only have the place 4 stars because the wings I ordered were naked. I thought b they would have a little bit of s sauce on them but they didn't. read more

The best restaurant in the town of Carthage, hands down! The owners are so awesome, welcoming, and they don't hesitate to get hands on in the kitchen! There are always smiling faces in the front of the restaurant, no matter how busy they are! Steve's is the GOAT, no one in the town of Carthage is coming near the integrity of their food! read more

Absolutely amazing local restaurant with a large variety of dishes. As there name suggests, the pizza is splendid and so are the subs. There is a very large quantity of items on the menu, and this large variety definitely does not hinder the quality. It is nearby and very inexpensive with friendly staff. Awesome food! One of my favorite places!!! Funny enough, I recommend the Chicken Teriyaki (hibachi).

Stopped in for pizza instead got a Cuban sub combo. Sandwich, choice of fries, tater tots or onion rings and a 20oz drink. $8.04 plus tax. Sandwich was pretty good no complaints would definitely order again. Ordered fries crispy and they actually were. Outside looks a little shabby but inside was very clean. They have a 98 which is an A rating which is always nice to see. Dined in around 6pm on a Thursday and they had a fairly steady stream of customers. Men's bathroom was very clean but pretty small. Only thing I would probably change is a lot of their signage is hand written and menus could be made more appealing. From this experience I would say worth the visit read more

LOVE their steak sub! And if you want some fried rice, try it with grilled chicken and yum yum sauce. Yes they have that too. It is ALL delicious. The kids even love their ham and cheese sandwiches too. The outside may not look appealing but all their food is fantastic. A lot of the local people go here for lunch too. read more

Local greasy spoon / dive restaurant. BUT! If you are looking for where the 'locals' go for great food...this is one of them. The food here is amazing. Service is prompt and the prices are good. It's a gamble if you'll catch them open. Signs on the door say "Back @ 5pm". Normal business hours are open till 8pm during the week. When calling ahead, the answering machine verifies the hours on the door, yet at 6:30pm on a Tuesday they're closed? This isn't the first time I've encountered this at Steves and I've heard others complain about it in the community. read more
