They charge more, have unfriendly staff, the course maintenance is lacking, and even the layout appears a little gimmicky in spots. I used to play EP several times per year, and was always impressed with the consistently green fairways which were also well-drained, but this time we saw many brown spots and ran across a lot of soggy areas. The greens were in good shape, however, and the facilities and carts were fine. The guy in the pro shop acted like he was doing us a favor taking our $60 apiece, I guess since we weren't regulars. All in all, still a good course but not worth the extra dollars.

The course if poorly maintained and it is getting worse every year. The worst part is the "sand…read moretraps" and bunkers that have little to no sand in them and most have standing water in them even during hot weather. The course has over 60 sand traps and bunkers that are major design feature of the course and they are all in terrible condition. At the pro shop I was told that they are working on developing a plan to fix the sand traps. But it is way to late for a program that will take 5 or more years to complete. Complete reconstruction is needed now to bring this course up to a level of maintenance you would expect at a typical muni. We are dropping Eagle Point from our regular rotation until significant improvements are made.

Having fallen into disrepair, it was sold and the new owners have made improvements. There's still a ways to go before one might consider this a great course but it's very playable right now. - greens are OK. The grass runs fairly true but some greens have huge brown spots. Pin locations in a couple of holes were a bit ridiculous. - fairways also OK. Some torn up spots from maintenance vehicles (which really isn't acceptable) but mostly you'll get a decent lie. - bunkers: who knows? I managed to avoid all of them. - water is a hazard on just a few holes. - layout is pretty good. Holes are interesting, not repetitive. - carts are electric and run fine. No frills. - beverage cart service was disappointing. She showed up on our second hole and was never seen again. - decent practice facilities. All in all, A-OK. If I lived nearby, I'd put Stone Ridge in the rotation. As it was, I was here for a Veteran Golfers Association tournament.

Master bedroom was stunning with huge closet and two windows letting in lots of natural light. The view from our balcony onto the gorgeous golf course green and surrounding mountains was breathtaking. Staff was courteous, professional and accommodating to our requests. Talon Grill restaurant on the same property was also very good with great staff. Cannot wait to return!
