[[HIGHLIGHT]]A comfortable quaint Jersey style diner in the middle of a neighborhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is very welcoming and provides attentive and pleasant service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is very clean and is a smaller dining area than most diners.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu offers a variety of choices from Breakfast to desert. The Dinner specials are also set with an ample amount of selections as well. The food is your average diner fare, they don't pretend to be something they're not. It's a straightforward NJ Diner meal with dinners offering a Main, 2 sides and a soup or salad; some also a desert. Portions sizes are respectable and deserving of the prices charged. Overall you should enjoy the food and experience here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the few smaller diners left in NJ that's still kicking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only reason it's not 5 stars is it has early closing hours and seating options can be limited if you have a larger party and they are busy. (Diner closes at 8pm.)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly diner with great food, chummy atmosphere where everyone knows your name and the wait staff calls you 'hon.'[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoyed my egg sammy with turkey bacon and my companion enjoyed her healthy omelette. One star off for the coffee, which was fresh but weak.

3.5 The diner is good overall. There was a bit of a wait, but we were kept updated and seated shortly after with a smile. Service started off great -- drinks came out quickly, and my unsweetened iced tea was actually very good. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and asked for Tabasco, which the server said "sure" to -- but the burger came with no bacon and no Tabasco. Still, it was very good. My niece ordered fries with her meal and got the smallest pile of fries I've ever seen. They can do better, but overall not a bad experience.

Great find in the area. Has a Greek vibe to it and it's an old time diner feel. Great coffee and had pancakes. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu options are massive. Check out the picture. We will be back.

CELIAC AND GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY This is THE diner to go to if you need gluten free options. Most everything in the menu can be made gluten free. The owner has celiac herself and knows the struggle. It is a typical NJ diner with all the normal accoutrements. Right off route 18 and easy to get to. Staff is amazing- check them out! Decorated real pretty for Christmas.

Quick, fast and tasty is how I would describe my lunch today at this "old school" neighborhood diner in Old Bridge. Nothing fancy here. The decor and linoleum countertops harken back to 70's. Missing however are the table top mini jukeboxes and the lemon meringue pie. Maybe next time. Like most diners in the New York - New Jersey metro area, the menu is extensive and breakfast is served all day. I went with a patty melt, hamburger with onions and cheese on toast, fries and coleslaw. Kept it simple. Prices on the menu are reasonable for the times we currently live in.

Cute little place and awesome service. They were very accommodating for my allergies. Really good pancakes. Some times gluten free ones are gritty and these were not.

I Must say I chose the right Diner today. It's a small diner but cute! Has the bar seating area and booths. It was pretty busy but our waitress was very good! Attentive, always came to check up on us , adding more coffee and asking if we needed anything ! The menu was big! Typical diner food but they had much more options for breakfast and lunch! Plus the excitement I got when I saw they had Gluten Free options! Food was fresh, well Made, portions were great as well as prices. I must say I was trying to control myself. Our eyes and stomach are bigger at the time lol luckily I didn't order those GF crepes because boy I was so full!! It was delicious! Very good that when I'm Back in the area I'd love to visit again .

Good ambience: This diner had an old and retro vibe which we thought was nice. Ample parking space even though it was a busy night. Our server was friendly and nice. And everyone seemed to know eve Bad Food: Food was late and was exceptionally bad. Server commented it was crazy in there (kitchen) when she dropped our food. Ordered a NY steak medium and it came out so bad. I can't even describe it. It was dry, cold, tasteless, and just plain nasty. The corn side was cold and undercooked. Fries were soggy. We ordered burgers as well and it was pretty bad too. Dry and tasteless but not as bad as the steak. Fries were soggy as well. Something that was good: My wife liked the flounder milanese which was their special. It was tasty and perfect and the rice was perfect. Daughter ordered the cheese quesadilla which she liked. The kids liked the ice cream at the end. Overall it was such a bad experience for everyone with exception to the flounder and quesadilla. Maybe it was an isolated incident but we felt the food and the wait time was a total let down.

It is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and cute simple decor that has a communal feel. The specials menu had some fun and exciting choices for st Patrick's day! There was also a listing for blueberry pierogies which we decided we just had to try. I think the concept is exciting and new- but the inside of the pierogies were only blueberries which weren't very sweet. We thought it could be even better with the addition of a sweetened ricotta, cream cheese, or mascarpone inside to compliment the berries. There was a drizzle of some kind of icing which was tasty and went well but there wasn't enough of it. We ordered our meals from their regular menu. They must have polish roots because pierogies and kielbasa show up on the menu a few times. I saw "pierogie omelet" and was sold. You can tell their pierogies are freshly made and it makes all the difference. I probably wouldn't get the omelet again because it was kind of a lot happening at once, however, next time I go I think I definitely would like to get the pierogi platter they offer because I enjoyed the kielbasa and pierogies so much. My sister got a strawberry arugula salad with crispy chicken. I did not try it but I tried a piece of chicken and it was deliciously crisp. She said everything was really good and the strawberries were perfect and ripe. My mom, who got the protein pancake with fruit on side agreed. My other sister got a tuna wrap which she also enjoyed. I also like that they do a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade with your choice of flavor. I got the raspberry and it was delicious - not too sweet but the flavor was there. Our waitress was a gem and we never felt rushed.

My fiancé and I have our regular diner favorites, and I was pleasantly surprised that everything was just as good as the diner we used to frequent before moving. It's always a little nerve-wracking trying new local spots after a move, but this place quickly made us feel like regulars. If you're looking for a reliable neighborhood diner with great service, generous portions, and that nostalgic diner charm, Marlboro Diner is definitely worth a visit.

When we got the bill, I asked why my salad was the full price when I didn't get chicken. Waitress didn't bother to look into it & told ME to ask the manager. Well I did get the $3 off the bill from the manager & that cost the waitress some of her tip!

Although I usually order for takeout, the service is quick (orders are ready in 25 minutes) and organized. You'll see their son and daughter working the register or cooking in the back passing down the family tradition. Honestly the greatest Greek food I've had in a very long time! Evangelo and his wife Georgia have been in business for over 20 years. A testament to the quality of mom and pop shops. Has a diner feel that's very cozy.
