Ok so this place is awesome if you want to sell your car to them. I was approached by Mohammed and Hazem over text for $21k on a car with 91k miles. The interaction with them even before walking in was super respectful and they were very patient because I couldn't sell right away. But even though they weren't there when I walked in, their colleague Danny helped me out with the deal and he was as great as Mohammed and Hazem. They do real inspections of the car. And when they come back, they show you pictures of the problem. And they tell you an offer. I asked if they can do more and they did budge a bit more but couldn't get close to the original $21k offer due to two issues I wasn't aware of (so that's very respectable). they also didn't significantly drop their offer NOR did they make it sound like you had a trashy car , just because of the two issues (one with the tire and leaking axel ). The process is easy. 45 min inspection. Paperwork took another 30 mins, negotiating can increase your time there. You sign all the documents to allow them to do the dmv paperwork. And don't worry if you have a lien on your car, they do the math and cut you the check based on what you owe and they handle it with your lender. They are very friendly and super nice. The facility is super clean and welcoming. They had the TVs set to the World Cup matches.

Just for an oil change, I waited over 3 hours with little to no communication unless I asked for an update. Every time I've made an appointment here, I'm never actually seen at my scheduled time. I'm a very understanding and patient customer, but when it's consistently hours past your appointment, it becomes frustrating. I'd say if you schedule any service here, don't plan anything else for the day because you'll likely be waiting a long time. It's better to come expecting a full-day wait. The staff is nice, and I do appreciate the service advisors, but I'm just being honest about the wait times.

Be Aware!! I have to admit that the service I received yesterday at the Montclair location was the worst experience I've ever had at for a car purchase. Let me start that I text my interest of a vehicle that I wanted to see if it was still in stock. I received a quick response from Zack that it was. I told him I live far away so needed to know what I could expect to get as a trade in for my car. I sent photos and a VIN number. After over an hour I had to text again and I finally got response. I felt the number was fair. Gave him my credit score got a number and made an appointment for 330 the same day. What's so disappointing and started that experience was I drove all the way to Montclair arrived before 3:30 and was told that I would meet with Manuel Gonzalez. I thought that was odd since I had been working with Zach.. And later found out that he was In Egypt and was pretending to be a sales person to make appointments for the salesman. That's a major concern because Manuel didn't have any idea about what we had talked about. The worst part was that Zack Never ordered my car And it was way down in Garden Grove. So even though I had an appointment at 3:30 and told them they never brought the car to the Dealership!!! So I had to wait an hour and a half in a room by myself With absolutely no contact from the sales person or anyone else. I really Nothing that was going on. After waiting all that time, I finally got up And looked for my sales person. In which he said, I'm going to tell you The wrong car!!! I thought it was a joke. Knowing my situation. No one double checked.! They assured me it wouldn't be too long at 5:30 in traffic, And I then proceeded to wait another hour and a half in a room by myself With no clue what was going on, no Offer of water Or anything. I finally got a hold of the sales manager. Told him how disappointing and upsetting it was that I had an appointment and no one even bothered to bring the car To have the wrong car! We made another negotiation and I proceeded to wait again. Finally, the car And I said I would buy it and they said they would put And wash it and have it ready for me After I have the paper signed. After another hour and a half paperwork still was not ready. But Manuel assured me that the car was clean and gassed and ready to go. At 10:30 at night I was finally done. It took another hour and a half to get the paperwork signed Lo and behold I get a message that they're just now filling the car with gas and they'll bring it to me. Well, the car was filthy, had not been washed All over the side of the car was leaking gasoline!!! I got home at midnight with an appointment at 3:30 in the afternoon. I don't even want the car anymore. It completely ruined my experience And honestly, I felt like crying Pause they charged me $1999 for a special coating on the car. Will with all the tar and dirt on the car my detailer ( at home) said it had never been put on!

1 Star - Stay away from STG Auto Group Bought an Acura RDX here on 3/13/26 and it was hands down the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. They lied about add-ons being mandatory, claiming we needed them to get a lower interest rate. That's not true. I even found paperwork during signing that clearly said the add-ons were optional. When I questioned it, the salesperson literally admitted he doesn't like working there because of how they do business. They also told me dealers can't mark up interest rates in California anymore, which is false. Later, someone from their team accidentally confirmed the bank approved me at a LOWER rate than what I was given. We put $5,000 down ($2,700 cash), and they refused to give a receipt for the cash. The car had a brake issue the SAME DAY we drove it home (braking on its own + warning light). It's now been in their shop for almost 3 weeks with: no updates conflicting stories constant runaround I was hung up on by their finance manager and even dealt with someone who gave me info and later turned out they have me a name of someone that did not even work there. This place has zero integrity. Just pressure tactics, lies, and terrible service after the sale. Save yourself the headache--go somewhere else. These guys are scammers: Sales: Georgio (should be how you spell it) Sales Manager: Anthony (bald with tattoos on his neck) Financial Manager: Chris A. (Very childish when speaking to you, over talks you and hangs up on you mid conversation) Fake guy: Tony Suarez

They made selling my vehicle a breeze!!! At first I thought it might be a scam so I did my research and everything checked out as good including A+rating with BBB, also verified check was a good account with bank so I decided to take a leap of faith with them, so happy I did they were amazing and made it so easy almost too easy!!! Love doing business with them and highly recommend. read more

I''m sorry tu report that STG auto has been unresponsive to my concerns. When the call benefits, the STG group, they seem to have plenty of help to get back to the customer, but when there is a problem, they are unresponsive and do not return their customers calls. The STG Auto group decided not to purchase my car. They returned the car without my license plate and title registration. I am now waiting for three days after they return my car for the license plate and title so I can try to sell my car privately. They they refuse to return my license plate and they have caused me a great deal of unsatisfaction and I feel the best way of getting back to there. Lack of Customer service is to provide this difficult statement I make of this car sales company . I have been mistreat by this Auto dealership and I make this report for others to know they do not put their customers first thank you Michael read more

Come here if you want to waste your time and get ripped off! And get harassed by a bunch of their people afterwards! These are your typical greasy used car sales people. I came in on 09/28/24 for a $25k car, they got my info and came back with paperwork adding an additional $14k to the final price! The next few days I got messages from HASS saying the additional fees are warrantees and Gap insurance, but he's willing to work with me on the dealer fees! Then I got a message from DAVE MESCHON, General Manager, asking if he could help. Then NESTOR, Senior Sales Mgr, asking what's holding me back from making a deal. Then my sales guy JON, telling me I didn't give him a chance to make a deal. Then MO, Sales Manager, messaged me a few times wanted to help me. What a bunch of frauds. read more

my boyfriend and i waited almost 2 hours to get help from remy, he had been getting messages and calls from andrew but once we showed up we got help from absolutely no one. we also seen people walk in right after us that were helped before us. we messaged andrew to let him know we've been waiting for a while he then continued to say someone was on their way to help and no one ever came. we also saw so many employees just wandering around. i don't recommend at all, no point on calling someone, spamming their phone, if you don't want to sell. read more

The dealership had been pursuing me for over six months. I am disabled and I finally make it down there and in advance submit it credit application and the type of vehicle I preferred. They jerk me around for four days. It was so hard to be there for that one day because I was experiencing body pain. I left messages, voicemails, their salesman were horrible. They were not honest and lied about so many things. The only one that I would give a shout out to would be Chris who was the general manager, he sent me a message Acknowledging I did not purchase a vehicle and what could he do to make that happen? I told him the entire story and the promises that were made. I also informed him that I was on a budget. I gave them the parameters of the payments/interest rate. I went Monday backs were closed. They were going to call me back on Tuesday I needed to remove something from my credit report which I did on Monday , come Tuesday. Nobody calls me. I left messages voicemails, and then Wednesday comes and they tell me that they are still working on it and that there was a credit freeze on my credit report which I told him that was untrue. I took a screenshot. Send it to the powers that be then they said they were gonna work on it and they'd give me a call back. Of course nobody returned the call. It wasn't until I notified Chris and he lit a fire under his salesman. I guess Chris is the saving grace of that dealership! I ended up not purchasing a vehicle from them, I received a phone call from them. It was either Wednesday or Thursday with the most outrageous terms no one could possibly accept. They offered 25% interest and almost an $800 monthly payment and the person who spoke to me pretty much told me take it or leave it so that he could close the deal. I told him under no circumstances what I accept that kind of deal. I ended up going to another car dealer and was able to purchase a vehicle the same exact vehicle with exception that it was in my preferred color. With a very reasonable interest rate for my financial status. I did not make any false claims regarding my financial situation. I am on a fixed income And the reason why I was set on this particular vehicle was number one, Honda's reliable I've owned three in the past never have I ever had any problems whatsoever. STG New, the parameters of my budget. I had a prior bankruptcy over a year ago, on top of that there were two other dealers who applied for credit on my behalf without my permission between the both of them, they sent over 25 inquiries with hard inquiries that are now on my credit report. Thank God, I was able to purchase a vehicle with another dealer Who were the most courteous, respectful, and understanding policies, and Customer Service. They did everything they could do to accommodate my disability! I would never recommend anybody to STG, and if I were the Honda powers that be I wouldn't allow them to sell Honda cars because they give Honda a bad name and a bad reputation for Customer Service read more

I sold a vehicle to STG. Worked with Max. He was persistent without being pushy. He got me a great deal (I listed online and spoke to multiple parties). After securing the offer he worked through some unexpected curve balls on my end with professionalism and efficiency. I would recommend contacting STG to anyone selling a vehicle. read more

Beware!! Do not buy a car from here!! As some stated before they will call you a month or so later saying you agreed to more money or will repossess it. After all of that gave more money have had my car 5 months and it isn't even drive able. Just completely shuts off. And this isn't the first issue I have had with it. And they basically say it suck's to be you and couldn't care less. Out of there hands now. Do not buy from here! Have a you leave them a yelp review while sitting there to say how wonderful they are. Huge scam of a place!!!! Zero stars. Customer service is awful too. Can never get ahold of anyone. Or managers are "always" out. read more

I'll start off by NEVER BUY A CAR HERE place is trash full of liers and untrustworthy people , the receptionist are rude and unprofessional talking over someone and being rude on a phone isn't a way to represent a company not only does it make the company look bad but what would make us wanna continue business... Also If a customer ask to speak with a sales manager you don't make excuses or find reasons why i wouldn't receive a call back .... Also Make sure your cars are serviced up to date with mileage before buying it , service confirmed transmission and radiator flush was never done but due to mileage before we bought it should have been done . as we were told "all our cars are fully serviced before sale " is what we were told yet has not been done . read more

This place is terrible and I am reported them to the FTC. They are dishonest and have terrible attitudes. I asked our sales guy if my husband and I can talk, he said no. He can't leave with the quote. I asked if he can stand outside of the glass window/opened door office and he said no. After we decided we were ready to leave and as we were walking out I saw a lady crying because of the quality of the vehicle she was sold and is now stuck with a car that doesn't work. After I spoke with her and we were standing in the lobby, RAMI the manager asked in a nice tone if he could speak to me- dismissing my husband. After he tried to give me the "low down" on how things work here and told what they may be able to do. After I told him what I was expecting based off the advertised price and mentioned something's we were unhappy about, I must have triggered him because then his true character came out and said we can go. I responded with you wanted to speak with us and you have the attitude?? RAMI is literally the worse. He tries to seem like a good guy and got an attitude when I answered his questions about pricing. He is completely unprofessional and needs to be fired. He also stated that he wouldn't pay $750 for tint and that the LoJack doesn't even cost that much. They claim that they make money off the add ons. I have purchased many vehicles and motorcycles and I have never had such terrible service after being here for 1hr. Please protect yourself. Stay away and go anyplace else! read more

As most car dealers, i can usually expect a certain amount of shadiness, however the sales mangers at this particular location are the poster children of dishonest car dealers. Lets start with trade ins...They claim boldly how they will beat any offer you've been given for your car without knowing how much you've been offered and when they see your actual numbers they pedal back immediately. Now most people would realize their error and admit to it, not these guys @ Montclair STG...they actually pretend as if they never said it. Then they proceed with offering you the lowest number of value on your vehicle. They do this by reporting your car as if it is in poor condition, so that the system pops out a low number on a print out. Your car could be in excellent condition as ours were...they will still mark it as poor condition to cheat you out of your trade in. So once they've gotten past that moment they begin to try and sell you one of their vehicles...the cars are moderately priced...at least until they start adding things that have nothing to do with the actual price of the car. Tint: $500.00 Door guard: $300.00 GPS: $1500.00 These are items that nobody should be charged for, but its how their agents make commission ...i actually plan on calling one of the state agencies to see if this is illegal or not. But wait theres more....lets say we agreed to the low ball number and the over-charged vehicles...you choose a car which magically isn't available on the lot...so they tell you they have to have it transported from another lot...they tell you this car is being transferred, just for you...but to my not so surprise...the car has been promised to other customers as well and this is how they create bidding wars among the customers. In conclusion STG Montclair is by far one of the most dishonest car dealers i have ever seen...anyone with any sense of integrity would never work there, so assume everyone there is shady and will cheat you every chance they get. read more

Stay away from this place. everything has been wrong since day one. When I bought my car in September 2020, they threw all the extras they could to my contract. they made it so difficult, that by the time I was about to sign I was so exhausted that didnt read all what was included. When got home and saw the extras they charged me, I called. I didnt want the ceramic coating, the door protections, the extended warranty, a useless GPS. They told me that there was nothing to do, I couldnt get anything back. I complained that it didnt even come with a spare key or mats. I got the mats in the end. since I already paid for the ceramic coating, tried to schedule for them to do it, just to get a surprise that I had one year to schedule. Asked for refund then, and was told no. I said well I paid for something I didnt get, either give me the service or I want my money back. Was able to get it done. When the extended warranty was about to expire, the driver's door stoppped working. Called to set up appointment, they gave me wrong hour, had to re schedule. Made the comment to the lady that it was unfair because I got there at the time I was told, and didnt want to loose the window for my warranty. I was told no problem, got the car in but they didnt have the parts. Just got a call that my warranty expired on Sep 20th, and got my appointment on the 25th, therefore it was out warranty and they will not repair my car. That's BS, it was not my fault, I was upfront I didnt want this to happen, makes me feel they made it on purpose. I feel so ripped off. Worst experience in my life read more

On August 16, 2024, i traded in my 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 with only 18,000 miles with VIN#: W1N4M4GB1NW171115 to dealership STG Auto Group. The agreed value of the traded-in vehicle was $32,000.00. After applying the trade-in value to the purchase price of a vehicle that was a 2020 BMW X5 with 39,000 miles which is also another thing the dealership lied about because the contract says it had less then 36k miles from dealership I financed the remaining amount of $6,499.36 through Westlake Financial Services dealership assigned my contract to Westlake Financial Services for financing the amount of $6,499.36. As of August 29, 2024, my application with Westlake Financial Services was still under verification and had not been cancelled or returned to the dealership Then On August 29, 2024, the vehicle that I purchased from the dealership was repossessed from my home without prior notice or justification. The dealership falsely claimed that Westlake Financial Services had denied and returned the dealerships application when in fact it had not been denied or returned as confirmed by Westlake Financial Services. The dealership then refused to return my traded-in vehicle despite repeated requests from me and this is a Breach of Contract, I have and continue to incorporate by reference all preceding paragraphs as though fully set forth herein. A valid contract existed between myself and the dealership for the trade-in and purchase of vehicles as well as financing through Westlake Financial Services. The dealership breached this contract by repossessing the purchased vehicle without justification and leaving me without any form of transportation even after I have told them that I was disabled and had doctor appointments coming up and refusing to return the traded-in vehicle to me, As a direct result of the dealerships breach, I have suffered damages including but not limited to loss of use of both vehicles and financial hardship. I have incorporated by reference all preceding paragraphs as though fully set forth herein. The dealership knowingly made false representations regarding the status of financing with Westlake Financial Services intending for me to rely on these misrepresentations. I have reasonably relied on these false representations to my detriment thinking the dealership was doing business in good faith when in fact it has resulting in financial loss and deprivation of property (both vehicles). As a direct result of the dealerships fraudulent actions, I have suffered damages including but not limited to loss of use of both vehicles and financial hardship. Conversion is another violation, I incorporated by reference all preceding paragraphs as though fully set forth herein. By repossessing the purchased vehicle without justification and refusing to return the traded-in vehicle despite repeated requests from me ; the dealership wrongfully exercised control over both vehicles depriving me permanently or indefinitely thereof As a direct result thereof I have suffered damages including but not limited to loss off use off both vehicles & financial hardship I want this company to be investigated and want them to pay me for all of the pain and suffering they have caused me. I want them to pay me for the illegal repossession of my vehicle and for leaving me without any means of transportation even after they took my car from my driveway. I want this company to return my 2nd set of keys to my trade in vehicle that I was finally able to get back but they refused to give me back the 2nd set of keys and those keys cost over $1,000 to make. I gave them two sets of keys and was only give one back, the dealership also made me leave with my traded in vehicle without any license plates on them and gave me a piece of paper only and said that I needed to contact the DMV for new plates. I want this company to pay for the threats that the salesman and the managers threatened me with by phone verbally, in person when I went in to get my car back that I traded in and by text messages where someone by the name of Christian kept calling me a stupid Motherf@$&34er and that I was going to regret it if I did not return the car that they came and illegally repossessed from in front of my home. This dealership also refused to provide me with a carded and when I got home I purchased a carfax report which shows prior accidents on the vehicle they sold me so they failed to disclose any prior accidents or damages to the vehicle. I also told this dealership that I did NOT want ANY add one especially any additional warranties or service contracts or any gap insurance but the dealership without my knowledge, added over $1700 in what they call "stolen vehicle recovery system" which I told them I did not want and then added an additional over $600.00 in "Accessories " which the vehicle did not have nor did i agree to those things. read more

Bad Business and a team of liars. told me that a certain car was in their inventory and the car was really at the Bellflower location. Made me drive 1 hr and 15 minutes for nothing . The sales rep even tried to stall time. I called him out on it and he apologized. A total waste of time. Eric (maybe a Mgr) wasnt any better. Just when you think things are moving forward and ready to put 2021 in the bag, you get a frantic call from your daughter who's been involved in a traffic collision. Luckily no injuries to all parties involved but her "hand me down" '16 Honda EX Civic was declared a loss. Welcome to the world of used car lot sales. We linked to STG via another online platform and came across a lengthy inventory of Audi's my daughter was interest even though "dad" was more towards a new unit from a major dealership such as Honda. Despite the reviews posted, we gave STG the benefit after physically visiting Montclair and test driving. It's the constant push towards getting you inside and convincing you to stay is my way of not going forward but we didn't get this vibe and drove away with a good feeling. We had every intent to return but you don't want to express your emotions. I'll admit it's fair game for any business such as used car sales, they're going to make all efforts to follow up and contact you aggressively. To those complaining about follow up calls by various team members, I use email for communication preference and If I need to provide a phone number, I'll use the house landline we never answer because the volume is muted. 2nd day at STG was just as easy once we mutually agreed on a sale price. Advancing to Finance department, they got my daughter approved with Ally financial and me as a co-signer. Honestly, it was a very smooth process and we probably spent under two hours finalizing and executing a contract while the Audi was getting pampered and topped off. The physical location at Montclair probably has in excess of 500 units and that's not including trade-ins. However, they are in the process of moving to the corner of Holt and Central because STG recently acquired "DriveTime" and it's inventory of units. The other STG locations are in Bellflower and Garden Grove and they have a good logistic plan in place to move units back and forth as needed upon customer request. Overall, the purchase was a pleasant experience and a learning tool for my daughter who got to see the backside of negotiating and executing a contract at the X. Kudos to Fady (team manager) along with Ruben and Juan (sales associates) who kept business in order and respected two buyers to the highest allowing us complete space. Would I consider buying from STG in the future, sure why not. As the cost of living is on the rise and new vehicles prices continue to rise along with a shortage of new inventory making it difficult, think outside the box and open your eyes and explore the market. read more

If I can give this place 0 starts I would! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! FULL OF SCAMMERS. I bought a 27k car and they scammed me and ended up paying over 10k worth of add ons I did not approve for and got the car for 60k. All the "supervisors" and the "General Manager" would not come to us after we called them out. I have all the messages and proof that the guy that sold us the car sweet talked us to a scam. A few days after I purchased the vehicle, I found out that certain things in the vehicle did not work and I would reach out to him. He told me to bring it back and everything will get fixed. When we tried to get in contact with the dealer regarding all the issues with the vehicle vehicles and the guy did not respond to our messages. They told us he was no longer with the company, and that was only a week after we got the car. Because we went it a few times and kept calling the dealership. Up to this day we keep trying to fix the issues and they can no longer fix it for us because it is "past the guarantee" and they would charge me a $200 to look at it yet it never worked since I got the car. No one ever knows how to answer our questions they just keep transferring calls to different department and then Claim they would escalate the situation to a supervisor and I would get a call back. That call never happens NEVER AGAIN. read more

The sleazy used car sales experience lives on! I was interested in a vehicle at this dealership. Came in a second time with my wife and still couldn't come to an agreement. Jorge, our salesman was great however when it came to talking numbers, the manager came in and blew the deal. I was trying to get out the door at $23.5k and they told me they couldn't do it for under $25k. I reconsidered my offer and made another trip over there after communicating via text. I was willing to go up to $24.5k. I was told to come on in and we'll work out the numbers. Upon doing so Jorge was busy with another client and that same manager, Ramy came in and now his price is over 26,000. Instead of going down he went up and tried to convince me that they only make $100 or so per car, which is complete nonsense. I do not recommend this dealership. I'm surprised they even have the mediocre rating they already have. read more

STG Montclair is an interesting place. It was way bigger then I originally thought and apparently they have a handful of locations. I think the biggest thing to remember when looking around here is setting the expectation before you arrive. When we see a sticker price that's very appealing, we get excited because we think oh hey thats great, I can afford that and yes these guys have some pretty decent sticker prices. A HUGE thing we need to remember is that the price we see on a sticker, is BEFORE Uncle Sam gets involved. After you realize the best case scenario for any used car lot is sticker plus taxes and that becomes the new base line, wrapping your head around the rest of the numbers becomes a little easier. Used car lots have historically had a poor reputation that I think we are all aware of and yes, stg is no exception. There are indeed markups on the vehicles that will definitely catch you by surprise if you're not paying attention.......HOWEVER, you'll likely encounter this at many used car lots. I think the difference between STG and the other "bubbas" or "joe shmo" lots, is that STG gives you an itemized list of exactly what the add-ons are. Sure, the add ons aren't ideal if you're looking for the absolute best rock bottom totally cheapest vehicle out there..but let's face it - sometimes you simply get what you pay for and I think that's exactly whats going on here. I bought a Truck recently from these guys and Daniel was my salesman. He was extremely helpful and very friendly. Showed me anything I wanted to see and had a great attitude the whole time. Seemed like a very straight forward kindof guy. A+ in my book. The other person I dealt with was Rene. He's a sales manager. He's an interesting guy. At first I was a little concerned because of the sales tactics but let's face it, you're going to run into that at almost any lot you go to. As we got to talking more and more, I ended up thinking he was a decent guy. He went over everything with a fine toothed comb and helped me understand all the details of the agreement and why certain things were priced the way they were. After a good amount of back-and-forth we ended up reaching an agreement that seemed appropriate and im very satisfied with my purchase. I felt like in the end, he was genuinely trying to help me out and for that I am grateful. I think the thing to remember about STG is that although no, its not necessarily the cheapest option out there after everything gets factored in, but isn't purchasing a vehicle ultimately about the value proposition? Sure you could go somewhere else and get a vehicle for a few bucks cheaper, but let me tell you after walking that lot, some of the trucks I saw were SA.Weeeeet!! A lot of them already had lifts and tires and aftermarket stuff added which was super cool because you dont have to spend the time doing all that stuff yourself! Sure you might end up paying a couple extra bucks, but in my opinion, the value you're getting, at the end of the day, exceeds the price.. even with some of those specialty add ons. * I barely bought my truck yesterday so we'll see how she holds up. I have discovered a few small things that do need to be repaired such as one of the AC vents and one of the headlights, however Im confident Rene, Daniel and the Service team at stg will be more than accommodating in repairing those items to keep me as a happy and returning customer. If you're in the market for a new car/truck/suv......motor scooter...bicycle.....skateboard....or roller blades id say give this place a shot and see what happens. Never know, you might end up getting exactly what you want. Thanks for the sweet truck guys! Talk soon!! read more

WARNING bad business. I went to test drive a 40k car and the seat belt on the driver seat didn't work. Wasn't able to test drive right away. They claimed they fixed it when I got in the car to drive off I was STILL unable to fasten my seat belt. So someone came out to tamper with it to get it to work and told me they would fix it Monday. Long story short they let me drive off with a seat belt that didn't work properly and I got stuck at work because I was unable to fasten the seat belt. I had to call for help and got it to work temp. Due diligence I don't think legally you can sell a car when the seat belts don't work properly . I went to return the car Monday and of course they wouldn't take it back. Welp....reporting to DMV investigations and seeking legal action. read more

I advertised to sell my car. received a call to make an inquiry about my car. Been told that someone will call me in about 5 minutes. Received a call from Erica and it was a pleasure to talk tibon the phone. Set up an appointment and I arrived at the dealership. Met Sam the appraiser/buyer. He then offered me a little less than what we previously agreed due to a bullseye on the windshield which I think it is reasonable. Overall, I was completely happy and satisfied with the great and friendly service. read more

Bought a car from this place 3 years ago Look good ran good but the car had hidden damage to it which they never disclose. I came to find out it was in a wreck even though they'll dispute it because they have a car fax print out which is bs. Yeah I just found out a lot about this car. read more

They absolutely SUCK! They were trying to get me to pay more after we agreed on a down payment over the phone! Furthermore; I had a funny feeling about driving up there since we were 2.5 hours away! Due to their reviews being mixed. Well I bought a 2018 Range Rover! BEAUTIFUL RIDE! It had 67k on it; I put another 10k over that in 8 months and then my car over heated and guess WHAT?? The motor was no good! Had rust on it! It was guaranteed for 40k over 4 years! This car was in meticulous shape when we bought it!! So how can the motor be rotten?? Mechanic showed us WTF was wrong; it cost me 15k to fix it! Motor had a lot of rust on it! Then after 2.5 months we pick it up and he tells us that the battery in the car doesn't belong to it! So a couple of days before we got a new battery it died and another 325 later we got a new battery! We only had gotten it back for 3 days and then broke down again. Also, the seals were broken and the car would leak gas. It smelled so bad in the cabin! Massive headache from smoke inhalation. So Lemon Lawsuit is coming to them! I took my car to the mechanic 3x within 1 year! First it was water reservoir broken; no biggie! Then the big damage to my motor and then the battery didn't even belong to the car! Plus the seals! It drives so beautifully now! Like it used to in the very beginning!! I was so broken hearted when this happened! My hubby and I have always worked hard for what we have! Oh and I didn't test drive it until we bought it! My daughter test drove it for me cuz she lived an hour away and told me it was good!! read more

I advertised my car for sale in Colorado. STG called and offered a fair price - similar to what I would get in trade-in value. They sent paperwork with prepaid Fed Ex return. I sent the paper work back. They arranged pickup via truck carrier a few days later. The truck arrived when he said he would and picked up in my front yard. It was simple. I didn't even have to leave the house. Everything worked exactly as they stated. They were quick to answer questions and communicated the entire process. I would definitely recommend STG if you're looking to sell your car with zero hassles. read more

Hey guys I would like too add my experience too the table . I came here with my bestfriend too look at cars and seen a few and drove a few . And I ended up signing and buying a car i thought I was happy with. Little did I know I was in for a nightmare. 1. They sold me a dirty car , saying they would clean it and detail it on Monday and never did they people here just want too sell and do not CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL. And for the second reason is they sold me a car with no running headlights..... I could of crashed the car I was financing from them , it got dark after I bought the car and I told them it didn't work and they didn't care that I had too tow the car and they never fixed the headlights while I had it for 4 days before I returned the car . Stay safe and watch what you buy from these people read more

I feel like the reviews are sugar-coated and full of bliss, so I will enlighten to whoever is reading this. Everybody needs to remember that salesman will try to act nice and legit, when truly the opposite is in effect. About some time ago, I went to go run numbers on a vehicle from these guys , and of course what happened next was expected no less from a used-car dealership. These guys want you to use their "bank" and system of finance, by force. They will lie to you by saying that, "you need this program" or "it can't be done that way, you need to get our insurance". They told me all of this, and before i was about to walk away, the salesman dashes to his manager and brings him to me. This is were the fight began. The manager had an Arabian accent so thick, that unfortunately i couldn't comprehend what he was saying; therefore, I told him, "what are you doing here? Cant your salesman handle this?" He then replied in a strange and rude manner to me, I told him that his salesman was lying about the financial dogma. I told that I've been buying cars from official dealerships my whole life and have experience in all the lies and "goodies" that salesman try to give. He then of course proceeded with his rude remarks, so I walked away. Of course he said stuff like, "You will get the same thing everywhere else". Fortunately, later that day I went to an official dealership and brought my own financing and deal, the salesman that helped us was more professional and kind than STG. Even later that day, I walked out with a brand new car that was summed by my own financing and deal, and of course the salesman tried to say no but we negotiated and met halfway. Overall, never go to a used car dealership, perhaps they only exist to help people who can't do the research for themselves or people that dont know any better. read more

Customer service here is terrible and they don't try to work with you at all the girl at the front desk needs customer service training. She is very rude and obnoxious. I have never been treated so poorly and the sad thing is I bought a BMW from them about six years ago so I spent my money with them to be treated like garbage. I was trying to trade my Beamer in and get something different. They did not even try to work with me. they wanted my car plus $15,000 who does that for a $19,000 car? WTF their customer service used to be awesome. I will never ever go to STG in Montclair and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do it either. I was calling the guy Joseph back to see if he could meet me halfway with that 15,000 only to be treated so poorly it's probably a black thing. I got a little color on my skin because she was rude AF. Maybe it all worked out for the better. My son told me take my business elsewhere. He said mom I could've told you that evidently he had a bad experience with them as well STG in Montclair is garbage and everyone needs to know that the way she spoke to me, was like I was a piece of trash Joseph and Jerry we're OK but the but the receptionist does not make a difference in your establishment read more

This place is worse than the reviews make it out to be. I ordered a car online because it was a particular package I was looking for and the price was reasonable. First, the "red line" through the online price is a bait and switch scheme. The salesman told me there actually isn't a markdown as one would assume but rather, "the price fluctuates based on the market." Second, they tack on $4k in "mandatory dealer add ons" which is actually illegal in CA. Vastly overpriced tint, tiny "door edge guards," and a GPS tracker. On top of this the tint job was the worst I have ever seen on a car. So not only did I pay for their crappy tint, but I had to pay to have it replaced too. Third, the car came with undisclosed damaged that was intentionally left out of pictures. I had to pay over $1,000 for paint and dent repair. The car was also missing a key fob ($800). Lastly, they charged me $760 to register in CA even though the car was shipped out of state and I am not a CA resident, despite me telling them repeatedly this was incorrect. They also failed to send me the bill of sale or ANY paperwork until I pestered them daily for 2 over weeks. The management refused to make ANY of this right after the fact. Every employee ghosted me as SOON as the check cleared. Do not shop here! read more

I do not recommend this place at all. Spoke to 5 different people before the manager asked me to come in and take a look at a car that I said I would only purchase if they could do a certain price for me, they told me to come in and ask for either manager on duty but sent me to another employee who then later passed us onto someone else. After denying their offers the manager came and tried to negotiate with us which we then decided to reconsider our choice, after 5 minutes the employee comes in and says we can leave and says the manager told him to come tell us. Pretty unprofessional and I didn't appreciate the lies. read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Here's an overview of my experience with Anthony and Danny from STG at the top of this year (2024): 1. The test drive set by my credit union with a 2021 Highlander XLE did not happen because when I arrived at my assigned time, that particular car was not on the lot. It was in Bellflower and I was told it be up to a 2 hour wait, so I ended up looking at a different vehicle. 2. When I asked about them not running my credit and doing a purchase order with the credit union as I'd already been approved for an auto loan, I was initially told this wasn't possible until I showed them an email from the credit union that stated it said it was possible, then their tune changed. 3. I reiterated that I didn't want my credit run again and Anthony then informs me that yes, they don't have to run my credit but in order for me to get the purchase order and the car to be taken off the market, I needed to give them a $500 deposit that would be returned to me once I came back with the check. Despite complying, my credit was run again anyway. 4. On 1/22, I let Danny know I would be picking up the check and to let me know when the car would be ready and he said he would let me know. I didn't hear back from him that day. 5. I follow up on Tuesday 1/23. I let Danny know I had the check and I was informed that a PDR and detail were pending, but it should be ready by Thursday and that he would get me an exact ETA. I then inform my credit union that I hadn't gotten the vehicle in case there were any wonderings about the check was not cashed. My credit union contacted Anthony/Danny and was told the car would be ready that Thursday after 1 pm. 6. Thursday after 1 pm Danny tells me there's been an update of Friday at 6 pm. I informed him I'd be going out of town until Monday, and that I'll be there the following Tuesday or Wednesday. He says okay and no worries. 7. I drive out to Montclair from Pasadena on Tuesday only to be told that the car is now in Bellflower. Now, I will take ownership of not talking directly to Danny to confirm I was coming but in our last correspondence, I did tell him Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not sure why the car would even end up in Bellflower when it was sold in Montclair and he knew I'd be coming. I was informed that Danny had not been in the office for the last 3 days, so at that point I was unsure of when I would get the vehicle. In speaking with the Manager on duty, he was apologetic and asked what they could do (he offered oil changes and to also send an Uber to bring me back to Montclair the next day) to which I asked if they could bring the car directly to me, which they did. 8.I received the car the next day. Since I was told the car would be ready on Friday and it's now the following Wednesday, in my mind, this means all things are complete. Upon drop off the vehicle the driver informed me that he was unable to have the outside of the vehicle detailed and he THINKS the inside was detailed. He also stated that the reason it wasn't detailed was because I was in a rush to get the car. I said, I wasn't in a rush I just had a window for drop off time and that I was told the car would be ready on Friday. You can only imagine my frustation at this point. This was not on me. The inside was not detailed. In addition to that, there was a broken piece of something laying on the backseat. There were 2 loose screws on the floor of the passenger side and the lettering that indicates the type of car that you typically see on the outside trunk was thrown in the back of the trunk. 9.I notified Danny via text of the condition of the car (with the exception of the screws and lettering because I saw those after I spoke with him). His response "Hi [my name], I hope you like the way the Traverse came out. Sorry we took so long to get it to you." Traverse??!!! This was an indicator to me that I had not been a priority or a valued customer as I purchased a Highlander and he totally ignored the rest of my text. 10.Due to my credit being run by STG when asked not to, I was promised a letter I could use to dispute with my credit companies. It took several requests, phone calls and emails before I actually got it as well as the $500 deposit- which wasn't returned entirely. They gave me a little over $300 back. At that point I was over it all and didn't want to keep going back and forth about it. The entire experience was more stressful than it needed to be. I did not feel valued as customer. Car buying is stressful enough and it was my hope that the process would be a bit easier by utlizing a preferred dealer from my credit union. That was not the case for me. I definitely will not be nor would I recommend anyone do business with them. read more

We made an appointment for 3pm days in advance to see the car we wanted and was told when we arrived here that the car has already been sold. We drove 45 minutes here and I'm upset no one informed us the car sold in the morning and even made us wait in the lobby for 30 minutes to receive this update. It was a terrible experience and both the manager and agent that confirmed our appointment just yesterday did not say anything to us. Overall bad customer service and communication. read more

So I had initially left a review here, a negative one. I came back to add more to it about how much more negative its turning out to be, and it some how seems like they had my review removed. So now I'll go into it with detail, because that just proves more dishonesty and deceit on their behalf. While reading all this, keep in mind this is my second and last purchase from them. So I'm not just some "first time hater" or anything like that. I actually spoke very highly about STG prior to this experience. Also keep in mind that my first purchase was at their other location, so maybe just this one has the "crooked" management. We came in to buy a Porsche from them (Maybe they were able to get it removed because I didn't say what kind of car exactly?). The initial disappointment is that the were told, and had "written proof" that they said the price is "EXTREMELY NEGOTIABLE." Once we got in the door, suddenly they even wanted to not only negotiate, but they wanted to RAISE THE PRICE. So for get any negotiation... we pretty much had to fight to pretty much just get sticker price.. (Which was still over priced.) After we agreed on sticker price after hours of negotiation, (What?! Who has to spend hours negotiating for sticker price?!) We were completely disrespected by the Manager Javier, I'm not sure which department he manages since we were bounced from one to another, but his lack of "customer service" and his lack of respect toward other people is what really left the mark. We're not here to speak badly of Javier but his behavior was just extremely unprofessional. Honestly, if this was just some kind of Honda or Ford or something like that, we would have been out the door and not made a purchase. The only reason we went through with the purchase is because we had been looking for this particular Porsche in this particular color scheme for such a long time, as a personal preference. Aside from all of that, we had to spend more time "negotiating" the fact that they now wanted to charge us more AGAIN for "additional features the car comes with." So after "negotiating that for hours again to try to claim that sticker price should mean what ever is already on the car should come with it and that they should have told us if they want to charge us more for any of it... after we finally agreed on them to not charge us, they suddenly wanted to remove it all from the car now. This is not how you're supposed to sell a car... You dont sell a car and then remove things from it. It's not like the features we're so detremental at that point, it was just the principle behind the fact that if they say this is the car, here it is, this is the price, don't try and go and charge more for things that have already been on it, and don't try to remove them either it... Honestly this was such a head ache I just wanted to buy the dang car and get out of there already... and not because they have done anything great... just because I've been looking for this dang car for so long and that they have made the experience so unpleasant... ANYWAYS, moving on... now I had came back to add to my review and I see that it was taken off some how... What I was going to add now is that, now I'm getting bombarded with phone calls and texts for me to bring the car back for this or for that, all in a suspicious manner. The first one started happening right after I left my first review saying "We need you to bring the car down here because we have a due bill for a detail" Really? Now you want to charge me for detailing the car before you sold it to me? I'm glad I made sure to get that in writing from them that it was free. "We need you to bring the car here so we can put it in our shop for our smog shop to look at it because we need the vin." First of all thats BS. It is ILLEGAL for them to have their OWN SMOG SHOP THERE. That is a conflict of interest and the Department of Motor Vehicles would not allow them to have that business along side a dealership. I don't think I need to explain why, but allow me to explain. The reason is because they can just buy cars that don't pass smog, and just give them a passing certificate anyways since they own the smog shop. Well the DMV isn't stupid and knows this is a conflict of interest, so thats how I know they're LYING. How can they want me to bring it into their smog shop at the dealership when that cannot EXIST. So I don't want to be difficult and argue with them about this (Because I've already thought I was done dealing with their BS and arguing with them.. I simply offered " I'll give you the Vin number right now give me one second" Suddenly they jumped to say " Oh no no we need the actually car here in the smog shop physically to get the VIN" Hmm... interesting, I wonder what they want my car back there for so suspiciously.. and it cant be because they "forgot to smog it" Because they've already had it registered to me, which implies it has been smogged. So theres that now too, Wtf read more

Removed Content: Classic Tale of Buyer's Remorse This is my opinion from my experience from STG Ontario. So, In my opinion: (and others report same in these reviews) The finance manager, Mandoe Riad, misrepresented things while trying to intimidate us to sign paperwork - and it worked - you should see his Mercedes!! BEWARE: Tactic - Never leave you alone to really think about the deal you are being pushed into. In the fluorescent-lit tiny interrogation office, with uncomfortable chairs, Robert showed us one car that seemed a good price... (not the interior I wanted but $8,800, 2016 Nissan, not bad) then Robert can't find it on either lot. So we look online in the office and there is Nissan Sentra 2014, 22,000 miles, $10,880. We can test drive to see if the Nissan is an option. We arrived wanting an Accord, Camry or similar around 2008, something for about $250/mo. So we test drive the car. Without realizing until later that evening, the salesman, Robert, shadowed us so we essentially had no privacy to discuss our apprehensions. See: Dave Ramsey 6 Tactics of Used Car Salesmen (see below) BEWARE: On the test drive, If the gas tank is empty don't fall for this trick to take a very short test drive. OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THE SAME TACTIC!!! No gas for a test drive. This tactic might be ripe for a real consumer legal action. BEWARE: We were REQUIRED to pay for the GPS. It's on the invoice without prior notice. They wore us down, the salesperson will never leave you alone with your spouse, finally, we succumbed to the pressure and ready to sign. OOPS, there is a $710 fee for GPS. We bought a car at another d and the GPS was in the sticker price. Then, the finance guy will tell you how awesome STG is for adding GPS and how it's not an option. Finance guy will also do his best to push for you to pay more down. We insisted, "We only have $1,000" he responds "don't you want to invest in your new car?" With all my due-diligence I still ended up paying $1,710 more than I realized once we reviewed the yellow contract in the privacy of my home. In my opinion, I should have gotten more car for $10,800 + the $710 mandatory GPS. Finally deal, $10,880, +710 GPS (mandatory) 71 months, 20% interest, 22,000 miles. $290/mo. 2014 Nissan Sentra (consumer reports "worst car"). BEWARE: The 30-day warranty boasted is 50% parts 50% labor. BEWARE: (No plates, no floor mats, no owner's manual, no gas - fuel warning light on) When I was about to leave, with my 2014 Nissan Sentra, after five hours of back and forth there was still no gas in the tank, no floor mats, no dealer license plates (just an empty space on front and back). Finally, they found one for the front after realizing they didn't have any more they took from a car in inventory). But they weren't going to put a license plate on the front. Stating to me that it wasn't necessary. But I protested because I recently got a $197 ticket for that. So they went and got another plate off of another car. Once papers are signed you will get a text from STG to do your review. They verbal say "please give us a 5 Star review and mention us by name." I believe these good reviews are often done by people for whom reality has not yet set in or they truly have no other option. Next day, sounds like CV joints are making that dreaded noise when I make the turn out of my driveway (tighter than any turn on the "test drive"). We bought another car on W. Holt Ave. 2004 Infinity, no credit check, 21% interest, $1,500 down,150,000 miles, $6,400 at $210/month for 42 months.30-day warranty. We were allowed to have our mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection ($65). The car dealer fixed those items without even a frown. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * read more

There is a reason for the 3 star review for STG and I even told sales associate Albert I had seen / read the bad reviews on Yelp the first day (6/12/18) and he still managed to help all the bad reviews come true...let's begin. I was spammed by 5 different sales associate as soon as I requested more information from the website. By the way they claim to be an internet dealer so you would think they would care about their internet and YELP reviews but that's only a small piece of the backwards BS associated with this place. Ok...so I ignore the emails and go see the car because proof is in the pudding and I believe none of what I hear and 1/2 of what I see. Never test drove the car. Was given a decent trade-in price for my car. Went home got pre-approval by my credit union because I will be buying a car but I am extremely selective and detail oriented. So...I get phone calls the following day from Albert and an email from Tony, Joey, and Joseph. I call Albert back... not available asked to speak with Tony the owner...nope not available and I still don't know who the eff is Joey or Joseph or why they keep hitting me up! The BS...6/14/18...Albert calls says he could make a trip to LA so my husband can sign the contract... on a car I DID NOT test drive nor did I see in the light but he is sure to tell me his appraisal team wants to see my trade-in in the light so now my effing intelligence is insulted. To make matters worse my husband told him clearly I WAS BUYIN THE CAR. Next Slimy Albert ask who is my co-signer?!?! Im big league sweetheart and don't need a co-signer in fact, I am pre-approved by my bank...so then I say how much are you discounting the car...there are 3 of them just like yours in neighboring cities. Slimyass Albert gets his manager Liarass Khal who tells me that the car is already blue booked at the price listed. They send me a BS blue book. I Kelley blue book myself and find its 1200 over the MEDIAN blue book price. Their response....wait for it...wait for it..."Oh it's because the car is white and we are in California so we get to go higher than the blue book high.!" Ok Im a real idiot now! So then between amateur Albert and LiarTalkOutYourAsshole Khal they tell me they can get me a lower interest rate to offset the price of the car!!! WTF lower than 3.7 and booboo the bank and my credit score control the interest rate not your effed up dealership and what u FAILED mention was that you would have shopped my good name and social security number a bunch of times with ur fingers crossed dropping my credit score for too many inquires. Amateur, antiquated, idiots! So now I'm...agitated and my time is money so Albert calls me again 6/16/17 with the bull and point blank I say are you gonna drop the price or not if not stop calling me I already test drove/driven one of the other Jeeps and they are both at dealerships so the only thing your Jeep has going is the decals which I can put on after market. He tells me he's not authorized to drop price....WELL what the duck get me someone who is and get off my phone!!!! Ok wrapping it up. I get an email on Father's Day from Joseph about my 11am appointment to see the car right along with an alert from CarGurus that the car is sold...WTF I'm done! Please leave me the eff alone. Reviews by Gloria B., Kenny C., Margaret S., and some guy name Dan were all truthful people please use Carfax and Cargurus and buy from a dealer not these clowns! Short story at top and detailed story will be below. If possible I would give zero stars. Worst experience ever with a company. This dealership is extremely rude, unprofessional, and proved on several occasions they could care less about the customer and only want the money. They sold us a vehicle that was deemed unsafe to operate and had zero empathy about the problem. Never again will we deal with this dealership and strongly urge anyone looking for a vehicle to do the same. My wife and I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Elantra with low mileage. We were given a car fax report that showed no accidents and no salvaged title reported, as well as documentation that STG "inspected" the car and confirmed everything was good and safe to sell. The next day after taking the vehicle home we noticed pooling of fluid on the garage floor and a lot of oil around varies areas under the front of the car. We were told to bring it in to the shop for inspection. The vehicle was turned in and we were given the run around as far as what is wrong with it then we were told we are not releasing the car to you call the finance manager Michael and talk to him. We were pretty much told there is issues and come get a different car or money back but was not told what was wrong. After several phones which were mostly either we were hung up on, placed on hold for up to 30-40 mins, and countless transfers we were told come in to get your car and the keys will be left up front. We drive from Apple valley on a Friday only to be told nobody knows where the keys were and to come back Saturday for them. We went in on Saturday and was given the same response then finally after getting upset we were finally told someone lied on the paperwork and the vehicle needs a new transmission and there is "severe frame damage and is unsafe to be driven." We then called the dealer on Monday to try to get personal items from the car and once again was told keys are gone and the lead mechanic would call us back shortly which did not happen. After advising them we will have to get law enforcement involved we were magically told to come down to get out stuff, and the key had somehow appeared out of thin air. We asked for documentation about the repairs showing what the problems were and they refused. We asked them to show us the damage on the vehicle and once again they refused to do that and said everything on that was sent to Bellflower and they would give us that over there. We then had to drive from Montclair STG auto to Bellflower STG auto where the vehicle was purchased to try to get a refund. After waiting over 2 hours from them to decided to get paperwork going and everything was signed we were then told that's it and we we told the transaction would magically disappear. We asked for receipts to show our deposits would be refunded we were pretty much told we have nothing to give you and your original receipts from the purchase were somehow or receipts showing the return of the vehicle. Once again after arguing and speaking to the finance manager Michael, who was rude about the whole thing and had no empathy about the situation, finally gave us a copy of the dmv transfer paperwork and said the refund would be given in 2 days which still has not happened. We were also told they would not give us documentation about the damage or repairs because this "reversed the transaction" and the deal never happened. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding my visit to STG Montclair on 1/26/25. As a returning customer who has leased three vehicles from your location, I expected the same professionalism and care I have experienced in the past. Unfortunately, my recent experience was anything but satisfactory. I initially met with Kevin to discuss trading in my 2018 Mazda CX5, which I leased from STG two years ago, for a 2022 Mazda CX30. After discussing the numbers, I explained that I could not afford the $4,000 down payment or a $700 monthly payment. Kevin assured me he could help, which led to a drawn-out, 6-hour process. Eventually, I was offered a deal with no money down, using my trade-in, for a $680 monthly payment. I agreed and began signing the paperwork. Kevin informed me that the CX30 was at the Bellflower location and was on its way to Montclair. While I waited, I started moving my belongings out of my CX5. However, shortly after, another finance associate approached me and stated there was a mistake: my trade-in would not be accepted. He abruptly told me that I would have to take the CX30 without trading in my current vehicle. I was shocked and frustrated, as this was not the agreement I had just signed. When I raised my concerns, Kevin claimed he had informed me about the trade-in not being accepted, which was untrue. I repeatedly stated that taking on two car payments was not feasible for me, but I was met with rude behavior and dismissive responses. Ultimately, I was told to leave without signing anything to void the contract. Both Kevin and the finance associate assured me that no further action was needed since I never took possession of the vehicle, test-drove it, or finalized the transaction. The lack of professionalism and clear communication was appalling. As a returning customer, I expected better treatment and transparency. To make matters worse, I called the office the following morning at 9:15 AM to speak with a manager, only to be told that no manager was available. I was unable to get any clarity or peace of mind regarding the contract. I am now deeply concerned about the status of this transaction. My signature, as well as my mother's, is on the contract. I need assurance that I am not legally bound to a vehicle I do not possess and cannot afford. I cannot risk receiving a welcome letter from a finance company or a payment notice for $680 a month. I have also reached out to Anthony via text to explain the situation, but I have not received a response. The lack of communication and professionalism at STG Montclair is unacceptable, and I am considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if this matter is not resolved promptly. I request immediate confirmation that the contract has been voided and that I am not responsible for any financial obligations regarding the CX30. I sincerely hope STG Montclair addresses this situation and prevents similar issues from happening to other customers. read more

I had my Porsche Boxster S for sale on auto trader for 52k. Jackson who works in the office offered me 48k and we agreed on 49,750. Lie number 1. Because we agreed on that price I took my car to sell it to them driving 30 minutes each way to get there. They kept me there 2 hours and came back to offer me 47,500. So right off the bat I was LIED to again. Then they offered me 48k and I left. I hate liars. So two hours later I get a call from the manager Klaus, saying the reason they changed the offer was because the transmission had a leak. Funny there's NEVER been a puddle under my car. Then they said the two back tires were different, big deal, they're expensive speed rated tires, a chip on the windshield (another LIE), and "many costly repairs" All total garbage to get the offer low. Jackson wouldn't even come out to talk to me. I was told that the repairs will cost too much to do so they're just going to sell it AS IS. What a crock of shite. This is classic bait and switch. I brought my car back the next day and sold it to them because I didn't want a hefty repair on the transmission which is very suspect. They low ball and lie. NO ONE came out to talk to me, not even Klaus. I'd call that UNPROFESSIONAL... BAD customer relations. I brought an important document of MINE for them to COPY not KEEP, instead Sammy kept it. I need that back by the way. Will I get it? Probably NOT. Fits in with the rest of my experience here. I would say, BUYER BEWARE. I read other reviews before going and they're very bad, (good thing I wasn't buying anything). I can see why. The best customer service there was their free soda. They have nice cars and a LOT of vultures, sales people, on the lot. When I got home I had a text asking me to remove my bad reviews. So I changed them with brevity in mind. I am waiting for the check to clear the bank. I don't trust LIARS. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone because I was lied to. Look at the other reviews to see how they treat buyers and decide for yourself. I feel sorry for the person who buys the Porsche because they said they're not going to fix anything they had issues with. AS IS BUYER BEWARE. Shame on you STG for your shady business practices. I would NEVER buy a car from you. This is based on my experience and their bad reviews. I've owned a lot of cars in my long life and STG ranks up in my top 3 WORST auto dealers. My suggestions: better customer service and less time on your computer, dress professionally, don't walk around VAPING, stay with your customer during the transaction and don't lie to customers. I'll never return. read more

OMG...I'm floored by the customer service I received here. Freddy Melik was very personable and helpful. We walked on the lot just to check out the 2 Kia Sorento's they had advertised and nicely priced at 7pm. I signed my contract and was back home by 10:30pm. The only reason I couldn't take my truck home was because the banks were closed and I couldn't get enough money out of the ATM for the down payment. I hadn't planned to buy a vehicle that day so I went unprepared. But that didn't keep them from getting me financed in the SUV, with all the features I wanted, I had been looking for. A little back story for you: I had gone to a Kia dealer with pre approved financing. Because they priced the SUV wrong I was forced to jump thru hoops to try to get it. After 3 hours on the lot and multiple phone conversations I finally threw up my hands and called it quits. Since I wouldn't accept their terms, Kia decided to run my credit thru any and every lender they had. This affected my credit score adversely so I worried about receiving a ridiculous rate and payment if I tried again. Especially as a woman and first time buyer. Fast forward to STG! I was totally pessimistic and only went to be able to tell my fiancé, "I told you so!" But that was far from my experience! There was no haggling on the advertised price...There was no question on interest rate or payment... My down payment was even less than I budgeted for. I had been looking for a 2014 or newer Kia Sorento that was black, black interior, & 3rd row; this car had it all. Freddy simply said, "No worries about Kia, let's get you your truck!" That's exactly what he did! The guys are very knowledgable about their cars, different type of customers, and lenders. They only shopped my application to the lender they were confident would accept the terms of the loan as being outlined. I received a welcome call from that finance company just hours before I went to pick up my truck. The only hoops that were jumped threw were theirs as my insurance company needed, it seemed like, a million pictures of the vehicle to switch coverage. I'm very confident in recommending this company. Please ask for Freddy Melik, he'll take care of you. He capped off my goodbye with a hug so I felt more like family than just a customer. Oh, can't forget Mondo (finance manager) who made sure I fit the criteria for the right lender without just throwing my application to anyone they use. I'm very appreciative and I love my 2015 Kia Sorento! I'm apart of the STG family and very proud! read more

STG Auto Group of Montclair at 10324 Central Ave, Montclair, CA 91763, PLEASE BE AWARE FOR THE UPSELL OF SALES AND FINANCE MANAGER I am writing to who concern after trying today given the lack of a suitable response in relation to my earlier query. While I am not happy with the Sales Person(Mo Elalami) & finance manager Rene Escobar- BEWARE, I believe that the service I received from STG when purchasing my 2017 Lexus CT200h on March 17 2023, was inadequate. To be fair, I liked the car, but I was mis-sold several features and options which I never intended on paying for it. Upon closer inspection of the contract, it is clear that I was charged for tinted windows, patrol theft protection and full detail, NONE of which were APPROVED by myself. I include here an itemized account of the extras I paid for and not happy with this upsell: 1. Detailing of the car: $1,655 - pending 2. Tinted windows: $1,590 They did partially 3. Theft Patrol: $1,995, didn't work for a month 4. Parts pending. I sincerely believe that I have paid for items that I stated clearly were not suitable for me, and that it should be possible to honor this request in order to resolve my query. If someone had clearly explained to me that I was signing a contract which would lead to a bill for detail on the car and tinted windows, I would surely have refused to sign. There are numerous examples of dissatisfied customers who have had the displeasure of using your services (https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/montclair/profile/used-car-dealers/stg-auto-group-1066-100003842), and I urge you to take note of these in order to avoid reviews of this nature in future. I do not wish to be another dissatisfied customer. It will be clear by now that I am very concerned about this situation and sincerely hope that the CEO or a real General Manager can be the driving force behind finding a satisfactory solution for all parties. I am looking for a partial reimbursement on the $5,240 I paid for the car. I understand that people are busy there, especially after you buy a car, no ones like to help a person, I therefore urge you (to CEO) to take action and work together with me in order to solve this problem. I will be happy to post positive reviews on various online platforms upon the satisfactory conclusion of this issue. Overall: Bad Practices, Sales People with lack of process and Upsells without respect you and mentioned you before purchase the car read more

"MY WORD IS MY SIGNATURE" STG (Montclair) has a 45.83% Negative Yelp reviews in December 2017 and January 2018 combined. At this point, STG has 24 Yelp Reviews in December 2017 and January 2018 combined. 11 Reviews are Negative and 13 reviews are Positive, which gives a 45.83% Negative and a 54.17 Positive I am a businessman, Realtor, Property Manager, Leasing Consultant. When I do business with my clients and give them my word, I keep my verbal commitment and I honor my word. My word is my signature and it will give me positive word of mouth advertisement. I found a beautiful vehicle on STG's website, a Mazda6. The car was beautiful, it had low miles and the price was unbeatable. I was sold the minute I found it. I contacted STG, and right away Mr. Valentine Ganzhur attended me, he was very courteous and gave me all the info that I needed. I scheduled an appointment for Sunday between 1:00PM and 3:00PM, I was out of town Saturday. He e-mailed me (A total of 11 e-mails were exchanged) and I even got a text from his Assistant Alissa, a courtesy follow up and a reminder of my appointment. I said to myself, these people are very professional and really take care of their clients, I was very impressed. Sunday I got in my car, wife was excited, kids were thrilled, and we headed to the car dealer (cash on hand, didn't need financing, "Easy Transaction, Easy-Commission for the Salesman ") My mobile phone rings: Yes, it was Mr. Ganzhur and he said: I want to give you heads up, the car you want, I sold it 3 hours ago, but we have other cars that you can see. Let's begin. There is Law and there is Ethics, Valentine didn't break the law but he was unethical, he didn't care to honor his word, or to show some degree of respect for his clients, all he cared about was to make a sale and collect his commission. Mr. Ganzhur for future reference, honor your word and respect your clients, if you schedule an appointment and someone else shows up, at least have the courtesy to give your original client a phone call before you sell the vehicle to someone else and have them go through all the trouble just find out you sold their car to someone else. STG train your staff better and stress to them "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KING" Word of mouth is important, it might increase your ratings and your 45.83% Negative might change. P.S. I bought a beautiful Mazda6 somewhere else. read more

I would not recommend StG Auto to anyone based on my personal experience. Every interaction I've had with this dealership has been frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. Instead of making customers feel valued, I've consistently felt ignored, dismissed, and inconvenienced. The vehicle I purchased needed repairs only two weeks after I bought it. Despite having a warranty, the dealership kept my vehicle for approximately three weeks. During that time, I was told they were replacing fuses, yet that didn't even resolve the actual issue. To make matters worse, I was still expected to pay for an inspection even though I had purchased a warranty. That completely defeats the purpose of having warranty coverage and left me feeling like I was paying for something that should have been included. Customer service has been one of the biggest disappointments. Calling the dealership is an experience in itself. On multiple occasions, I was placed on hold repeatedly, and it often felt as though my calls were being avoided. Instead of receiving updates or clear communication, I was left waiting with little to no information about my vehicle. The overall professionalism of the staff is seriously lacking. Many employees appeared unsure of what they were doing, which made an already stressful situation even worse. The General Manager, Marianna, was especially disappointing. I found her communication to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, making it difficult to resolve concerns respectfully. The one bright spot during my experience was Manny, ( i hope im saying her name right)the service advisor. Manny was patient, understanding, respectful, and genuinely seemed to care about helping customers. She was the only person who made me feel heard and treated me with professionalism, and I truly appreciate her efforts. Buying a vehicle should be an exciting experience, not one filled with stress, poor communication, and unresolved problems. Between the warranty issues, the lengthy repair time, the lack of communication, and the customer service I received, my experiences with SDG Auto have been consistently negative. I hope this dealership takes customer feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements in professionalism, communication, and accountability. Until then, based on my own experience, I cannot recommend doing business with StG Auto. read more

If I could rate them NEGATIVE 5 stars, I would! They do shady, unlawful business. -They listed a vehicle on CarGurus for $30,038 -Verbally confirmed this price/vehicle and set an appointment -Salesperson wasn't there for the appointment and another, Rene, told us the vehicle was sold and that they called and told us and text us -Rene became combative when we denied the phone conversation and texts and even upon him realizing he hadn't and had mixed up another customer, he still would not own up to the fault and continued to be combative -Then told us he could sell us the vehicle because the other buyer wasn't locked in -Then told us the vehicle wouldn't be able to go home today because it hadn't been inspected. Even though on the phone previously we had discussed with the other salesperson, Cole, and confirmed that inspection was done and we would be able to drive off the lot with the vehicle if we wanted it at the appointment time. -There were 8 recalls on this vehicle's year/make/model/trim and we were told they would do the research to make sure this particular vehicle wasn't in need of recall repairs or that they had been done, but that information was not available at our appointment like it was discussed to be -They unlawfully bait and switched from the advertised/listed price to what they wrote up as a quote ($38,555 cash price $49,050.18 after add ons that we had previously discussed as optional, but now they were saying we're not) -When called out about the bait and switch they denied it, but we pulled up the ad (which conveniently had been deleted in the time that we arrived) but we had screenshot it and were able to show them -They said it was a misprint on CarGurus' part and admitted that another potential customer had come to them about this previously, but they didn't change the ad and continued to deny any responsibility to that price even though they had verbally confirmed the listed price on the phone. -When we called local dealerships to inquire about their inventory and mentioned that we were likely being scammed by a local dealership they immediately asked if it was STG and that they heard this a lot 10/10 would NOT recommend doing business here. read more

Wasted 3-4 hours of my time.. I would try to avoid this dealership (both locations). After multiple exchanges with the sales person Brandt, my offer of 26,400 was finally accepted over SMS messaging. I later received a phone call from Walid stating he could not lower the price under 28,000. I told Walid that my offer of 26,400 was already accepted by Brandt. Walid then asked if I could send him screenshots of the text messages (which I did). After a few minutes, Walid called again and stated he spoke with his manager and that he could accept the offer. I warned Walid that if I go, it was to sign documents not be surprised by any packages or preinstalled accessories. Walid assured me that would not be the case and that he would prepare all the paperwork. I showed up to STG with my co-signer at around 7:30 PM. We were greeted by the STG staff and JD assisted us with the paperwork. My co-signer notified JD to provide the paperwork first prior to the credit check. JD assured us it was no problem. Once we received the paperwork, we saw that the sale price was at 28,000 and that our credit had already been run. I notified JD that Walid and Brandt accepted my offer of 26,400 and that he should have not run the credit check until we saw the final price. After 3-4 hours of scrambling, we were finally told by the manager that he apologizes for the mistake of his employees. He stated that no one gave authorization to his employees to accept the offer of 26,400. He continued apologizing until we decided to leave. The manager apologized again and stated he would talk to his supervisor 1st thing in the morning and call us if he could honor the intial offer since his employees were at fault. It is 2:47PM and still no phone call. I understand that business is business, but this wasted almost 4 hours not including the waste of gas. Nice folks, but not responsible for any dishonesty or errors. 3 Errors Made Total: 1. Brandt accepted the 26,400 offer. 2. Walid confirmed the offer and assured his manager honored the quote. 3. credit check was run before showing the final price of the car (which we were assured would not happen). read more

Summary: My experience at STG was the worst car buying ordeal I've ever encountered. From overhearing a salesperson touting an exorbitant loan rate to dealing with deceitful tactics and unreasonable fees, it was a nightmare from start to finish. If you value honesty and fair pricing, steer clear of this dealership. Experience: To set the tone for this review, it's crucial to mention an incident that occurred at STG. We overheard a salesperson next door boasting about securing a "great" loan rate of 16.99% for a family. To me, that's more akin to credit card rates than auto loans. Initially, our experience seemed promising with Sales Manager Renee being helpful and arranging a viewing for a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. However, the facade quickly crumbled. After a brief wait for Renee, another salesperson, Paul, took over. Although friendly, it became evident that we were being set up for a classic bait and switch. The dealership claimed to accept trade-ins at KBB value, but their offer was significantly lower than other dealerships, Carmax, and KBB itself. When negotiations stalled, they brought in their so-called "Trade-in Specialist," Anthony. His tactics were nothing short of deceitful, trying to undermine my understanding of trade-in values and resorting to lies to close the deal. The real shock came with the fees. A car listed at $39,990 ballooned to $52,000 with their added charges. Anthony even had the audacity to defend an $800 charge for window tinting, despite the Carfax report showing it was done by the previous owner in Arizona. When we challenged the absurdity of raising our trade-in value by $2,000 to offset $13,000 in unjustifiable fees, Anthony's true colors showed. He became defensive and refused to return our keys and license, effectively holding our car hostage. It took a major outburst and the involvement of two other employees to get our possessions back. In conclusion, STG is a place to avoid if you don't want to be swindled by $10,000+ in fees and deal with unscrupulous individuals. It's worth paying a bit more at a reputable dealer than enduring the underhanded tactics at STG. read more

If you're considering doing business with STG Auto, do yourself a favor and run the other way. I had the misfortune of interacting with them recently, and it was an exercise in frustration and deceit that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. First off, they use AI chatbots to interact with potential buyers on various online apps. Sounds efficient, right? Wrong. These bots are programmed to lead you on a wild goose chase. I received an offer that seemed reasonable, so I decided to engage. Big mistake. What followed was a series of senseless chats, vague responses, and empty promises. The AI would constantly transfer me to different "agents," each more clueless than the last. It felt like a never-ending loop of incompetence and insincerity. Hoping it was just a one-off experience, I did some digging. A quick look at Yelp confirmed my suspicions. It turns out, this dealership has a history of using these distasteful tactics. Multiple reviews echoed my experience: AI chatbots leading customers in circles, bait-and-switch offers, and a general lack of transparency. One reviewer mentioned driving over an hour after being assured the car they wanted was available, only to arrive and be told it had "just been sold." Conveniently, they were then pressured to look at more expensive options. Another customer was promised financing options that mysteriously evaporated once they were on the lot. This dealership thrives on wasting your time and playing mind games. They seem to have zero regard for customer satisfaction or honesty. Instead, they rely on shady tactics to lure you in and then try to manipulate you into a bad deal. BUYER BEWARE: If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of this place. They will screw with you, waste your time, and then laugh all the way to the bank. There are plenty of reputable dealerships out there--this is not one of them. Save yourself the headache and avoid STG Auto like the plague. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. read more

CAUTION: Before you buy. 1. My credit report was hit 3 times by STG finance department by Mandoe Riad. Finance departments typically pull a credit report and shop those specs to multiple lenders. My wife and I had never heard of such a sketchy tactic as this. 2. We were required to sign over 5 credit applications before we could be offered a finance option. I protested over the identity security nature of this but was told: "do it or else can't help you". This was three hours into trying to find a car. We are still trying to get those applications returned to us. 3. Test drive - the car had no gas. The gas warning light was on. Had enough gas to go around a short city block; approximately .25 miles. Our salesperson Robert said he would get gas put into the car and we could drive on the interstate as I had requested. The car had mechanical issues we did not know until we drove it the next day. 4. GPS - Mandoe Riad required me to pay $710 on top of the car price at the moment we were signing finance agreement. I was NOT told of this before the credit was pulled. It was in the final moments and I had to ask, "What is this $710." 5. Carfax history was not given to us until we were actually driving away with the car to go home. It reported several major repairs in the last year. For many reasons, I and others are frequently put into these compromising situations. After a person spends 4 to 6 hours at a car dealership you are tired, hungry and confused from all the negotiating and different car models. I was NOT left alone with my wife for more than, maybe, 10 minutes. You don't realize the tactics until it's over and you see the pattern of behavior for what it is. Once you have a moment to reflect you see that you were skillfully herded into an agreement you could not back out of. We had to have a car the next day or risk losing our jobs. We did not think it would be this bad. read more

On Sunday I had called because I saw a rav4 posted and I wanted to see if it was still there. Fady answered and said he had the keys in hand but was looking on the lot for it. I live in Huntington Beach and said that I would be there in 50 min. When I got there they still hadn't found the car. My dad and I waited over an HOUR for them to tell us that it was just parked in the back... He said they would bring it up front and then 30 minutes later my dad got sick of waiting and went to talk to the manager. The manager walked us back to the car. It was in no way ready to be bought that day and taken home, which was fine. I took it on a test drive and ended up saying I wanted it. Fast forward to another hour later.. finally agreed on a price and they said it would take 20 minutes to fill out the paperwork. It took over another hour!! I am almost 8 months pregnant and it was ridiculous to be waiting around that much. They wanted my check that day even though I wouldn't be leaving with the car (they had to keep it to detail clean it, give it an oil change and send to a body shop to get minor dents out). I was so over waiting around. I called Wednesday to follow up on how much longer my car would take and nobody ever got back to me. I kept calling and finally on Thursday they said I need to come pick it up, I told them I couldn't come until the weekend. Saturday morning I called and said I would be coming later that evening to get the car and to have it ready. I got there around 4:30 and they said they were going to the back to get my car. Over ANOTHER hour went by and they finally pulled my car up, the inside had oil all over the dash and they poorly detail cleaned the inside. They also had taken out the floor mats that were in there before and proceeded to tell me that they were probably in another rav4 now. Don't waste your time here. Go to an actual dealership read more

Would give a 0 if it was available I retuned To the dealership last night 10/27/16 with my wife to purchase a 2016 CHEV Tahoe 37k this was 2 weeks after I had had purchased a CHEV truck for 36k I was dealing with Jose and Robert. We picked one out met with Robert price haggle back and forth said he couldn't do anything on the price of the Tahoe mind you repeat customer within 2 weeks back and forth no type of customer appreciation like if the first purchase didn't exist finally after back and forth mgr etc same devious sales for dealers lots game playing and wasting my time got a set of wheels and tires used from another. There the dealer they know so on top of repeat customer 2 weeks prior they wanted to get a car worth double the offer and make even more this is how you treat a customer for the 2nd time? Car: 2014 Dodge Charger 5.7 RT $22,600 Purchased the car/miles : 5/27/16 33,000 Extended service contract: $2,999 Gps tracker theft patrol: $1,500 Issues: Window chip First automotive service contract 60 months/60,000 miles expires When purchased the sales person told me my service contract will last additional to the current mileage's, pretty much when one pays for the car up to 5 years ideal the contract should last that long. However since my car has 66,000 miles now they told me they can't do nothing about it and pretty much gave that motto speech "too bad the contract says it's expired" I automatically get warranty from manufacturer 60,000 or less, I don't need to pay a service contract when I'm getting it free. It's been 2 years and technically it was supposed to last another 3 years ($1,788). I ask to get my partial money that was meant to last 3 more years and they said NO! They offer me to pay them $1,200 for another 3 years! That's insane. Plus before I saw the car a month before I purchased it has a nickel size chip on the driver said eye level which is annoying. Then when bought they didn't want to replace it after I spend $28,000 with my bank and yet they wanted me to pay their copay to replace my windshield. Like come on! After spending that much and gps tracker, service contract and yet they still want to continue banging me in the ass. The only difference on what they are offering is they charging me to pay for the dam lubricant while they screwing me over! Lot of dealership will tell you "too bad you sign the contracts, it's meets legal requirements". Man fuck your bullshit minimum requirements. This guys are chumps! We the people come and buy with that peace of mind that we can trust them!!! No professional courtesy whatsoever! Don't get fooled by the good prices! NO MORALS NO ETHICS read more

I completely back the girl below that states, "Lack of integrity and unethical." You know its a sad day when someone buys a car from somewhere and leaves a bad review about the service. This is our second and last purchase from them. Long story short, I might come back and edit in the whole story but for now... The only reason we bought the car and took it home was because of the fact that We've been looking for this particular car for a long time now and they're fairly hard to come across. Again, I back the girls comment that said "Lack of integrity and unethical." The amount of times we caught a lie in them or something dishonest... they even mislead us to get us in the door by giving us a price and saying its extremely negotiable and then when we get there they didn't even move a penny on the price (but thats not where the issue arose) and even tried adding on more things to bump the price up more and more and so on... I guess thats expected at a Car Dealership but we thought STG was the one that was different. This list goes on... We bought another car from them a few years ago, at the other STG branch and it was a pleasant experience and we dealt with the owner Tony there. We always spoke highly of STG following our first purchase and its unfortunate that it had to change. Maybe its just this branch you should stay away from. I believe the sales manager or finance manager, "Javier" acted very disrespectful and unprofessional at times. He should really learn to treat customers or just people in general, with more respect. The only thing that made this experience pleasant was a gentleman that worked there by the name "Freddy Malik" and another by the name "Joseph Isaak" These two seemed very genuine, positive, and honest for the most part. Outstanding individuals. Anyways, enjoy the coffee... read more
