Stick talk is a solid place for late night cravings. I've been here multiple times, mostly after a night out. I really enjoy the spicy garlic butter and the spicy Yum Yum sauce. I usually get the shrimp with lo mein. The shrimp is seasoned very well, and usually the lo mein is cooked perfectly. I've only had one time where it tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. The drinks are not too strong. The seafood eggrolls are a little bit too cheesy, not enough seafood in my opinion. The service is hit or miss. I've been many times and have had great service. It's also been times where I waited for someone to come to the table. The ambience is pretty chill. Like I said, I normally go late night so it isn't too crowded. The food comes out pretty quickly. I do recommend this place if you like a slight twist on hibachi!

I wanted to go here for some time. Finally decided to check it out. It was a Friday night. It was pretty crowded. Service with the bartender was good. The food was horrible and now that I think about it when I look around, everybody pretty much was drinking they had a lot of DoorDash orders. I don't know what Keith Lee had when he went here but I don't want to go back to see. This isn't hibachi the vegetables seem like frozen vegetables from my bags. The noodles were not fresh noodles. The chicken was good, but that's it.

Most recently and what prompted me to post this is I got an email about "Lunch Specials". I assume lunch specials are the regular portion of food. So the lunch shrimp "special" is actually $3 MORE than the LARGE Shrimp dinner. That means the Lunch Special Shrimp is $6 more than the Regular Shrimp Dinner portion. Reached out to corporate and got zero response. Feels like a scam. I actually really like the food here and have dined here numerous times. Their marketing is getting increasingly ridiculous. Recently, I went in for national margarita day because I received a TEXT and an EMAIL announcing $1.00 frozen margaritas ALL DAY - no end time was mentioned. Around 7:30pm (during the summer, very much still daylight) was told the special was only available earlier in the day. A normal restaurant would generally honor something they blasted you both via text, email and social media but no - was told "corporate" did it and the onsite manager was equally frustrated and couldn't control it. At least he was honest, other staff members made up reasons or were guessing. Lastly, this place offers 2 different sizes of frozen drinks and uses a short glass for one size, and a tall glass for the other size. They are literally both 12-14oz and yet priced differently. They might even be the exact same size, I have never measured. This place would get so many more stars if they could straighten out their promotions. As it is, I would never recommend this place to anyone because you don't know what the options are going to be when you arrive, the specials are actually not special and on multiple occasions this establishment has chosen not to honor specials. The food is actually really good. A little heavy handed on the seasoning but generally really good. Some of the best fried rice, great seafood eggrolls. Love that crawfish is a hibachi option.

I'm always seeking places with plant-based and vegan options. This isn't the ideal place, but I did come here with family that wanted to try this spot. I was able to find veggie hibachi on the menu. The Bayou Breeze drink was pretty good if you like sweet drinks.

Hmm, where to start? I learned about this place from IG and just seeing the pictures and videos of the food made me want to check this place out. After my workout today, I decided what good of time as any to give it a try. Located on the corner of a busy street and a "highway" off ramp sits (what looks like a renovated auto repair shop) turned restaurant (corner of Elgin and Brazos). Parking is beyond tight on a busy day and can be down right dangerous if pulling in because it's hard to maneuver your car if the most convenient slots to park are occupied. It's very tight!, Honestly, it may be best to back your car in for an easier exit when leaving. However, a word of caution, if you love your car even a little bit, take it easy and slow down pulling in to the lot. And if parking on the side nearest the "highway" exit ramp (and, dumpster), say a little prayer your car doesn't get hit trying to get situated because there is a blind spot. Today they must have been short staffed because there was no one at the register, and waiting for someone to finally come and check on those of us coming in the door took a minute, so bring your patience with you. No warm welcomes or anything like that so if that's what you're looking for, it may not happen. There are no signs to let you know what to do if you are a first-timer ( like I was), so here's a heads up - if dining in, go ahead and find a seat where you're comfortable, they (eventually) come to you. They also offer pick up and carry out. The restaurant is small so seating is limited. They have in door and patio seating (and the patio area is small as well). Though there was not a lot of staff, when someone did come to my table to take my order they were pleasant. Shout out to you, Jennifer, for being gracious. I ordered the Bayou Breeze Magarita and Chicken Habachi (dine in) and the Seafood Eggrolls (take home). For $42 the portions were average yet filling. The food is the STAR of the show and that star is bright! It was delicious and flavorful, just plan yummy, and the margarita was refreshing and balanced. The food/drink makes me take back my initial 3 rating back and giving a solid 4. It has a redeeming quality to it. I do understand how it can be when staff is short handed, they did the best they could, considering. It is definitely worth a try and a return visit. So, if going, keep these things in mind and you'll enjoy yourself, if nothing else, your tastebuds will thank you! Bon Apetite!

Everything was good! I was greeted as soon as I entered with my son. She learned his name and used it often. She was very understanding of his autism and was super sweet. The food was tasty but expensive. For the money I paid, I could've gotten more at pappaduax seafood kitchen Cons: I came for the happy hour that I heard about on instagram but found out that they stopped doing it so, I ended up paying $70 for two appetizers and my main dish. The drink was extra and this didn't include gratuity. Parking lot is small as well.

Seen this on IG. And decided to grab lunch from here. Double up combo salmon and crawfish with fried rice and veggies. Taste is good, texture is Great. I love the little crisp outer layer of the salmon. Portion size is very good. Came extremely hungry, got very full of half. Its $40. (Menu has a typo) salmon ($5) and filet mignon ($8) is NO additional cost. No military discount No loyalty rewards Added on 20% service fee, even for a party of one. Doesn't matter if you dining in or order to go. The same order is $20 on weekdays before 3pm. That'll be the only time I'll order this again. Menu has a typo and double up combo is included on weekday deals too

Truly "UrbAsian" This is were Urban and Asian food unite. I arrived here right at opening which is perfect for seating at the bar and before the crowd. This place packs out extremely fast, so get there and get in. The menu doesn't really provide a large Vegan selection, however that does not mean it's not possible. I simply explained my diet to the server and she did the rest of course with the help of the chef. Upon the collaboration of the server and the chef, I was delivered a veggie fried rice prepared in design for me, because whatever secret seasonings that are being used they peaked my tastes buds for the next bite. The rice and mix of veggies caused me to have an unrelenting desire to eat every grain, morsel and awaiting remnant of liquid from this dish. The veggie had a slight char flavor and tastes as if marinated over night only to be mixed into a bed of rice, just right! Parking is limited in front of the building, however that's covered by a parking lot with large letters letting you that diagonally across the street there's additional parking for the restaurant. Bonus info: I would like to note the fact that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Also the noise does pick up as the crowd does, however there is always the option of outdoor seating. Please read the menu as it states gratuity included, although you can always add a little more. So, until the next one, Bye- Bye!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for months and finally had the opportunity for a friend's birthday on Saturday. Please WATCH YOUR STEP! there is a big safety hazard at the door to walk out to the patio and other sitting area that they inappropriately covered up with a rug and no signage. There is a large dip or crater in the floor. My friend was wearing heels and literally twisted her ankle when she stepped in the crater. We told the manager about it and it was laughed and shrugged off at first saying that she herself has tripped in that area. Then when we further pursued the issue she offered my friend a shot. There needs to at least be signage to watch your step and to cover that hole with some ply wood or something. Then We sat down and half the menu was not available. The waitress said there was no filet mignon, shrimp or lobster. Had I not been there with a big group, I would have left. Half your menu or your combinations aren't even available. The birthday boy still wanted to stay. I ordered a 8 wings (half sriracha peach and half honey garlic) for an appetizer and a double combo rice plate with Salmon and Ribeye. You can choose rice or lomein noodles. It comes with Hibachi veggies (onion, carrot, zucchini and peppers) and 1 sauce. You pay $1 for each additional sauce you want. I mixed the spicy yum yum (mayo based) and spicy garlic butter sauces. Since there wansnt any shrimp, they replaced it with crawfish for the Stick Talk Combo. We waited a long time for our wings when other appetizers came out one by one. The wings wound up coming with the rest of our food. So basically not an appetizer. I did not like the sriracha peach flavor. The honey garlic was good. The hibachi plates are expensive but at least they give you heavy portions. So you definitely can eat at least twice. I took half home. The salmon had good seasoning and the food tasted good. The sauces were good but do not expect spicy. There was nothing spicy about any of the sauces. I had a blue raspberry lemonade which was really good. Sweet and tart at same time. Parking is very limited in front of the restaurant but they do have an open gravel lot across the street. Automatic 20% gratuity gets added to your check. The food was good and I wanted to give more stars. I could not because of the huge safety hazard and the fact that half the protein options were missing. The staff are fully aware of this safety hazard which is the sad part. Their own staff is tripping on this hole. My friend could not wear her heels the rest of the night and luckily she had some flats in the car and I had ibuprofen to help her swelling ankle.

I ordered the Stick Talk Combo & my husband ordered the wings. He said the wings could've been crispier but they were pretty good! So for a stick talk combo ($45) & 8 wings ($10) & the 20% ($11) gratuity (which was the price of 8 more wings,) it was $70. Portion size was okay, I personally don't think it's worth the price though. I feel like you're moreso paying for the concept. Pros: Came around 10pm on a Thursday night. It's a small location but it's a vibe. They were playing R&B and it was pretty clean. Food was cooked to order and came out in 20 min. The food was hot! Fried rice has a good flavor! Cons: They charge a 20% auto gratuity. This spot is not worth it for that. We didn't actually get served anything. We placed a to go order and was still subject to it, not a fan. Shrimp, vegetables & chicken were just okay.

I think that three stars is the perfect rating to give this place. I already knew upon arrival that this wouldn't be a super authentic hibachi restaurant and so it definitely met my expectations and therefore did not disappoint me at all. I felt like the chicken and steak wasn't exactly prepared the way that I usually expect when I order hibachi at more authentic restaurants, but it was still tasty. I also like that, they had a choice between Yum Yum sauce and spicy Yum Yum sauce because Yum Yum sauce is basically my favorite sauce. I like that they added a twist to it if that's something that you would like to try out. I did try the spicy Yum Yum sauce and I did enjoy it. I got the fruit loop drink which was actually pretty good as well. They also played good music and our server was extremely nice and accommodating. She was really helpful and seemed to have a very positive and welcoming spirit. Overall I didn't have a bad time. I just wouldn't say it was amazing either and I'm not sure if I would come back.

We went on a Sunday after a Texans game. We had just seen a segment on the restaurant, as it had been what Simone Biles wanted as her first meal after the Olympics. The service was fine, but pretty slow. The atmosphere is nothing special, but everyone is packed in closely together. The seafood egg rolls were amazing, that might be all I ordered next time. I really enjoyed the sauces. The meal would have been pretty boring without the sauces, but it made everything delicious. Parking was difficult. It was good, but there are so many great restaurants, I'm not rushing to go back, but it is tasty.

I was visiting Houston with some friends and decided to give this place a try as it wasn't too far from where we were staying. I ordered the shrimp entree with garlic noodles and spicy yum yum sauce. The food was a large portion and decent, I would give it a 6/10. The only caveat is that we ate outside and there were some for legged furries (rats) trying to make friends with us. Do what you will either that information. I probably won't come again but it was a fun experience.
