Had dinner from this cute little foodtruck (or I guess more accurately food camper) at Chinatown Summer Nights. Be forewarned, they give huge portions! I had the chicken pineapple fried rice, and I could only eat half of it. It was very good though. Husband had the drunken noodles, also delicious. They serve mexican coke and sprite, and their thai iced tea was very good. The only thing I personally didn't care for was that it was pretty salty.

Smells like great food!! Closes at 8:30 pm not 10 pm like suggested in yelp description.

Delicious smells drew me to truck backstage at KCRW's Summer Nights event. Love colors and traditional Buddha altar is a great flourish.

Really authentic Thai flavor with generous portions. We eat with our nose first. While at KCRW's Summer Nights event, there was this lovely smell of cooked food whafting through the air. I was a little hungry but the festive colors of the food truck and watching the cooks work in their window really sold me on wanting to try it. Me and my Special Lady Friend selected their Drunken Noodles combo with Shrimp & Chicken along with the Thai Fried Rice, Coke and water for 27 bucks. The portion sizes are really generous--each paper tray totally enough for two. The intense Thai flavor and quality of food really make it worth it. Drunken Noodles is like a medley of vegetables and chicken and fish. It definitely carries the flavor of the wok and a healthy spice burn (not crazy hot) that gave me a little sweat trickle on my brow and lip. There was plenty of shrimp, like at least eight, floating in the tray. The chicken are nice chunks and well prepared. Definitely the best version I've had of this dish. The Thai Fried Rice was my favorite dish. I had served in the Marines and have this vivid food memory of rice in a bag with some carrots and cucumber and an egg on top. That time was my first exposure and life long love for Thai food. Flash Forward--the flavor of this rice totally took me back to that feeling of first falling under the spell of Thai food. Dish is not too spicy but the onions, cilantro, tomatoes and cucumber kicker really made this dish work for me. When I added the Lime it totally changed the flavor profile for the better. I would definitely hit this place again and will follow them on social media and even make the trek out to hit them up for my Thai fix. Provecho!

Drunk noodles with beef and tofu, will fill you up!

Waited for about an hour for an order of spicy friend rice. Disappointing quality of food and even more disappointing level of service.

I work around Abbot Kinney and am always looking for a decently priced lunch option. Enter Noods. I…read moreabsolutely love noodles, so I was beyond excited to try this spot. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful -- especially for an indecisive person like me -- pointing out what's popular, what they personally like, and what they recommend. I chose to go the "build your own" route and landed on: 1. Base: Chili Garlic 2. Noodles: Yakisoba 3. Protein: Fire-grilled chicken 4. Toppings: Carrots, cabbage, red peppers, sesame seeds, crunchy chili garlic The portions are solid -- I easily got two meals out of one bowl. Since I like spice, they gave me a side of their spicy sauce, which added both sweetness and heat. With all the sauce, it was definitely a bit messy, but the flavor was bold and the kick was real. The noodles and chicken were cooked well, though next time I might choose something a little less intense so I can better appreciate all the ingredients. With that much heat and garlic, some of the other flavors got lost. All in all, lunch for about $25 on Abbot Kinney is a great deal, and I'll definitely be back to try more combinations!

I was curious about this new noodle shop on Abbot Kinney! It's small, with a few cafe tables…read moreoutside and one inside for seating. Most people order to go. The food was made fresh so served hot and the taste was delicious. HOWEVER. I did takeout and didn't look at the container until I opened it to eat. Major disappointment and concern as their thin plastic containers are most likely not heat resistant, which means chemicals leach into food. Cool concept as a store offering only noodle dishes but PLEASE change your serving and takeout containers!!

This review is solely for the Sam Woo x Kogi Collab (6/26 & 6/27)…read more - 6/26 - 11am-3pm - 6/27 - 4pm-8pm It was located in front of the Sam Woo in the Alhambra location so parking was very limited since their parking lot was very small. However, there was street residential parking, which was what I did! Got there a little past 9am and there was already 20-30 ahead of me! Really enjoyed how organized the event was and everyone was very friendly! Was it worth the 2 hour wait? Hell yeah! I met Roy Choi & Karen Cheung (daughter of Sam Woo's founder!) There was even Kogi x Sam Woo merch sold! (T-shirt - $35 & hat - $25) The Roast Duck Kimchi Taco ($24) came with 3 tacos with roasted duck, grilled kimchi, Kogi sauce, and sesame seeds..the roast duck was marinated very well and the skin was so crispy! Didn't taste much of the kimchi but the Kogi sauce was sweet and packed with delicious flavor! Char Siu Blackjack Quesadilla ($24) consisted of cha siu pork with cilantro onion lime relish and cheese. The quesadilla was so cheesy and the cha siu was packed with flavor. It was roasted to perfection and tasted so amazing! Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the Collab even though it was slightly pricey.
