Ambience: I came a Friday after work and it was not busy at all. I enjoyed it. The elderly woman running the front (Tang) was sweet, inviting and welcoming in a genuine way. I felt like I came to eat and my mom's house. They take Debit Card and Apple Pay WITH a pin only. I forgot my wallet and paid with Apple Pay. It did not have a place for tip which made me feel awful. At the end I apologized and she was like "it's ok, next time." And she was genuinely fine with it. She reassured me not to worry about it. So I'm determined to come back to tip her because if anybody deserved a tip it was her. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu- I like to order peanut sauce on the side and the woman found it interesting and struck a non judgmental conversion about it. I could really tell she was genuinely curious. This was my favorite dish. It was good. I also ordered spicy fried rice with tofu and spicy panang curry with vegetables. I chose 4 out of a 6 for spicy and it was not spicy at all for me. The rice was fine, nothing extraordinary and nothing bad. The panang curry was yummy. I don't know if it's regional but it was very light in taste and light in thickness. BUT I enjoyed it for what it was. Felt like I had gotten home made chicken soup or something like that comforting and not overly processed. Maybe it's because I ordered it with no protein and just vegetables. I ordered a lot of food so I explained to her that I was going to eat some and take the rest to go. When she brought the food she brought it nicely packed without a bag. She also brought me a real plate and utensils to eat here. She let me know that when I was ready she'd bring a bag which I thought was thoughtful. She also made sure to say "take your time, no need to rush. We close at 8" and it was 5pm. Again, it felt genuinely nurturing, she wanted to make sure I felt taken care of and welcomed. It meant a lot because I was frazzled from forgetting my wallet and from having a hard day at work. This was my first time here and it won't be my last. There is a small lot on site. Unpopular opinion, but I'd pick this place over Jitlada lol The flavors here took me right back to my favorite Thailand trip! Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be this good... I came here for a birthday dinner and our waiter Jon really knows how to overdeliver on service! He was kind, attentive, and always checked in on us often to make sure we had everything we needed and more. First off let me start with the food IS really good I cannot deny that with what I was actually able to eat. Ordered Pad Kra Pao Moo, I've lived in Thailand for a year teaching English to kids, I know my Thai is good. In every Thai restaurant this means minced pork basil. Also I specified multiple times that I wanted them to mince the pork because some restaurants don't do it. I somehow ended up with shrimp which I can't even eat. Called back and instead of her apologizing for the mistake she tried to blame me saying I didn't specify pork, I understand PadKraPao can be made with other meats but unless I specified anything else idk what would make you think I wanted shrimp. She offered to exchange it which saved them from a 1 star but after the attitude and blaming I didn't even wanna go back also the fact the food is spilling and falling all over the place. Pros: open kind of late on weeknights, close to my place, has a parking lot, and the service is SPEEDY. My food came out so fast it kind of scared me. Great options for lunch and dinner specials. The wonton soup that came with my mint chicken dinner special was super Americanized tasting, but not necessarily in a bad way, and had two (almost three, but I just had an empty skin) wontons in it. This place is really good! It's a great mom and pop restaurant with friendly service! But, they didn't have AC, so I have to take off one star for this because I was sweating the entire time. The fans weren't enough for me. Tom Yum (5/5): I love Asian soup and this was such a delight. It wasn't salty and didn't have an overwhelming lime taste (unlike other restaurants). They were lots of mushrooms in there, so that's nice! I was also surprised that the shrimp was fresh! Pad Thai with Chicken (5/5): Not overly sweet and just damn good. The chicken was also fresh! Spicy Mint Shrimp (3/5): Eh, nothing special. You feel the basil taste if you're into that. Again, shrimp is fresh. Fun yong(?) (3/5): Essentially it's an omelette like dish with bean sprouts and onion that's topped with meat (pick your choice from chicken, beef or pork). Again, nothing out of the ordinary. We ordered the pad see ew, pad thai, and thai tea around 7pm and they made it promptly. I haven't seen the place busy yet so it was a quiet atmosphere as we waited for our food. The pad see ew wasn't very good. There was not enough sauce so it was dry without much taste. It also did not have many noodles. There were more bean sprouts with noodles. I had no complaints about the pad thai though. It was good, flavorful, and plentiful. Their thai tea is also very good. It tastes fresh and full. It doesn't taste watered down. All in all, their menu also has a good portion to price and Thai Food Express is a good option. read more

I come here whenever I can whether its for lunch or dinner. They don't deliver here, but they are very happy to take a phone order and its worth coming up to get it because so far I've NEVER left disappointed. My favorite items here the Seafood Fried Rice and Pad Kee Mao. I've also had the Pad See Ew, which is very delicious. The seafood soup, which is very warming to the body and heart. I was craving some yummy chicken pad thai in this cold rain to pick up and eat at home. It's the only Thai dish I order for years now from every Thai restaurant I've come across. Sadly this was very disappointing and for the first time I threw my plate away after eating few bites. The chicken was questionable. The noodles were too skinny and lacked that sweat and savory essence. No crushed nuts. It was a generous amount for for the price which made throwing it all away feel that much worse. I never throw away food but all I can think is I'm risking a tummy ache if I continue...I'm not a foodie or a good snob so this was surprising for me to have to do this. I've been coming to this place for over 15years. The owner knows me now for always ordering Pad Kee Mao with beansprouts instead of broccoli. I've brought many of my colleagues here over the years and they all love this place as much as I do. I always used to pair the noodles with Tom Yum Kung but for some reason their Tom Yum don't seem to have lemongrass taste anymore so I don't order it unless I have lemon or lime at home to add to the soup. I order it for tart taste but it doesn't have that anymore. I love how they use the straw mushroom in the soup though.
