Since they are now doing construction for the new building, I figured this would be one of my last opportunities to see a show in the old theater. It was easy to buy the tickets on Ticketmaster. The shows rotate every couple of months. Right now mean girls is the play for most of the summer. The price includes the play buffet and regular fountain drinks. Any specialty drinks or alcohol alcoholic beverages cost extra. Arrival was easy I didn't have physical tickets, but when I gave my name at the front table, they were easily able to locate my reservation. If you have a small group, you will be seated with the strangers that you can make friends with.. It is a very unique place because all of the staff are also the actors. So you will have to place any orders you want at intermission early because they don't have much time since they have to prepare for the second act. Overall, the show was very entertaining. You can tell there is a need for a new theater due to the age of this one, but it was still quaint. I do recommend that you tip based on the original ticket price and not just on the drinks that you get. Speaking of drinks, the prices are very reasonable. If you get the signature show drink you also get to keep the souvenir cup. For this show, it was a cream sickle that you could either get with alcohol or without. I think it was only 1250 for the cocktail that included the souvenir cup. I think I will try to make one more show this year. I know my dad would probably love it so I plan on bringing him before the summer is done.

We came to the evening show of The Little Mermaid. The theater was under renovation on the outside however, it looks exactly as I remembered it inside. The food is traditional buffet style which is just ok~ nothing special. My alcoholic drink tastes like cough medicine. The wait staff is the actors and actresses in the show so they are really busy trying to prepare for the show. The show was great. I love musicals with all theatrics and singing. My suggestions would be to provide additional support to the servers especially during the show. Revamp the entire buffet menu to include some buffet options and made to order options like sandwiches/wraps, burgers, fries, Caesar salads. I would love to return after the full renovations are completed. There is plenty of parking which is a huge plus.

I love the class and decor…read more Took me a while to figure out parking there as a newbie here literally to a point where I was "too late to enter the movie" by 1 minute to be exact (16mins I think it was). I was truly pissed and had to come back another day! A movie theater should not do this I drove so far just for the theater brand and management didn't do anything caring. If ppl are late it should be their choice to miss previews or movie parts or not especially on a week day afternoon where it's not packed so not disturbing. I tried the bison burger and it was different not really a fan of the taste whatever sauce they put maybe I'm not sure but I know bison is healthier. The fries were great. The bathroom was gorgeous but they need stronger toilet air freshener someone blew the huge bathroom up unbearably so. The bar was cute & had a patio. Totally would return if incentivized.

The waiters and front desk are usually very nice and attentive (unless it's a sold out film and they're running around trying to get everyone). The food options here are pretty good! Don't expect Gordon Ramsay food, but it's better food than what you'd get at AMC. I do love how every Alamo is decorated in the fashion of their area. Because we're near DCA, our theater is an airport theme. It's really cute. I do have two qualms: Sometimes they turn off the escalators and if you're handicapped like me, there's no way to get up to the next level. They don't usually like customers using the elevators, but what can you do? Also they have big talk about kicking people out in their phones, but when you complain about someone, the waiters are too afraid to do anything. I saw The Apartment here and there was a guy literally talking on the phone. Three other customers complained about the guy and the waiters did nothing. I had to go over and yell at the guy myself. My BEST TIP for you: if you're hungry and want your food and drinks fast, get to your showtime 15 mins early. You'll have your stuff before the movie starts. If you come on time, you won't see any of that food until the 30 mins into the movie.

In fact, there were fifteen minutes or so of previews. Other rules about no phones and such were posted, but weren't aggressively enforced. Their food operation was a negative in my eye; when the movie did start someone stepped in front of me to take an order and a credit card number from my neighbor. The smells were dodgy and lights were kept on under the seats to facilitate eating, despite the fact that most people seemed not to finish. For all their promoting how the focus is put on the movie, it just wasn't my experience. For my particular showing, the star of the movie was actually contracted to do a special introduction, which wasn't badly done in and of itself but which kind of detracted from the movie a bit. The reclining seats were comfortable, but I'm not a fan of leather. I'm a bit of an optimist about the number of movies worth seeing and the value of an in-person theater experience, but I usually find myself going outside the District now if I want to see a movie and this experience did not convince me otherwise.

It's pretty good, but it was was more warm than hot when brought out to us. The lasagna came with a couple of very nice dinner rolls and was pretty tasty. The salmon was very well done and came with some roasted potatoes. Also pretty good. All were very good. Now, for the show itself. I have been to many Community Theaters and I don't think I've ever seen Talent like this one before. They really were top notch. Very talented group.
