The food has potential it just needs a little more flavor to it. I had a watermelon Margarita and that was pretty good.

Oh noooo!! I was away for a second, but went yesterday for crab cakes and boy did it disappoint. The sides were horrendous and crab cakes were absolutely bad. Seems like the quality has declined. We got double crab cakes platter $100 - what a waste. Never returning. There is some new cooks in the building- have to be.

First time visiting, went for a graduation dinner on a Saturday night. Was with a big party and the service was still pretty fast. The crab cake was huge so the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Would visit again!

Decided to take some food Togo since I was in the area....This was the worst crab cake I have ever tasted in my life. Flavorless, eggy and almost sour tasting. I literally cannot believe people rant and rave about this crab cake. I will never ever purchase food from here again. The lumps were super red on the ends, it looks like canned crab. I'm actually traumatized at how bad it was !!!

We had a great experience at Blue Dolphin in Crofton! Our server, Louie, was attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The seafood was especially good, and the portions were generous. We had oysters Rockefeller, and crab dip for starters. We had crab cakes, seafood imperial, and stuffed cordon bleu. Everything was well prepared and very delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home with friendly and attentive service. Definitely a solid spot for good food and a good time. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

If you travel for food like I do, you'll want to add Blue Dolphin Seafood Bar & Grill to your list. This spot did not disappoint. The menu has plenty of variety -- if one dish doesn't tempt you, there are lots of other solid options waiting. My picks? The crab imperial stuffed whole lobster (the showstopper ), garlic spinach, and a side Caesar salad. I also tried the shrimp and crab cake combo with French onion soup -- all hits. But let's talk about that lobster. The crab imperial stuffed whole lobster was rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth it. And Mondays? They offer 1 lb whole lobsters for $10 while they last. Whew! A win is a win. Great food, great service, and plenty of parking. I'll definitely be back -- probably on a Monday.

We had a birthday gathering there for my 86 year old aunt. We had a good time. She lives in DC but she loves this restaurant. It was the first time 7 out of 7 people have ever been and everyone loved the food. The atmosphere was very good as well. My one suggestion would be more forthcoming that they have a kids menu. The waitress that took care of our group was wonderful. We had one small mishap with one meal coming out at the end. It was my sister. She just decided to take her salmon home. They could have better a/c in the restaurant and less a/c in the bathrooms. I will say if you are in Grambrills, MD check out the Blue Dolphin

Great meal. Went to an event in their conference space downstairs. Our waitress was friendly and quick which we appreciated. I ordered the Oyster Dinner, loaded baked potato, and sautéed spinach. It's been awhile since I've been to Blue Dolphin, but I was not disappointed. Food was delicious.

First time at Blue Dolphin Seafood and we were all impressed! I came with friends from out of town (VA, ATL & TN), and everyone left happy. Great food, huge portions, and the crab cakes stole the show -- some of the best I've had in Maryland. Service was perfect and the vibe was great. Can't wait to come back!

I planned a birthday luncheon for my moms 97th birthday. The first and biggest complaint is the absolutely crazy way the handicapped parking spaces being at least 50 ft away from the corner entrance with a ramp located half way down the sidewalk. Who thought this was a good idea? Certainly not anyone using a walker like my mama. Anyhoo, we eventually entered and were greeted by a gentleman at the desk who said we were welcome to chose our seats either on the bar side or the room on front window side. We chose the window side which was brighter and filled with table tops. It has a casual vibe with seniors coming in for special occasions or just a workday lunch. Our waitress was a nice lady named Sam. The kitchen sent out warm rolls and whipped butters (one of which is sweeter). Blue Dolphin has daily specials but I wanted to get my seafood fix. We selected a variety of apps of calamari, salmon cakes, crab balls and French onion soup (comes with garlic bread). Please don't be like me and think these are normal sizes apps! All dishes were HUGE and tasted delicious. I had the calamari and it was a plate full w/warm marinara sauce and a mayo based one. Same thing with the salmon and crab balls. Then I ordered a fried seafood platter (1 huge crab cake, oysters, shrimp) for my entree with Cole slaw and pan fried potatoes and a crab cake one for my mom with mashed potatoes and string beans. My bestie ordered a T-bone steak and her hubby got the chefs salad. I tasted a bite of her steak but it did t knock my socks off. I couldn't even touch my entree (take out containers for all). Other than a hot water with lemon and iced tea, we didn't try any other drinks. My mom received a slice of strawberry and cream cake with a birthday candle. Sam was very kind and chatted with us. When we finally left, we walked with lots of bags for that long walk to the car. It's a bit of a drive from DC but definitely worth the drive for great seafood.

I come here for the yearly event. Every Black Friday they have Another Day Band perform. They play jazz, R&B. A little bit of this. A lot of that! They will have you jamming. Now blue dolphin is famous for their large crabcakes. Still delicious! Service was good as well. Unless you reserve a table. Seating is first come first serve. I look forward to this event each and every year. It's definitely a good time! Five stars is for the performance of the band!!

From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. Maria (I believe that was her name) was our waitress, and she was incredible--so warm, attentive, and professional. She even took our anniversary photo for us, which I really appreciated. Another staff member was just as great, constantly clearing our table, removing empty dishes, and refilling our water without us even having to ask. The young lady who brought out our food had the sweetest smile and greeted us so kindly. When I mentioned I didn't really care for the rice balls, they immediately took them back and removed them from our bill--no hesitation. That level of customer care definitely stood out. The space itself is beautiful--very spacious with a great vibe. I loved the ambiance and would absolutely come back. I believe they also have outdoor seating, which I'd love to try next time. Now let's talk about the food: * Grilled octopus: 100000/10 * Truffle fries: 10/10 * Wild mushroom risotto: 10000000000/10 * Seafood fettuccine (can't remember the exact name): 1000000/10 Everything was so good that we filled up on appetizers and had to take most of our entrees home--but honestly, no complaints there! Overall, such a great experience. Highly recommend for a date, celebration, or just a really good meal.

It was our first time and we weren't sure how things worked so let me help you out if you are reading this. A small plate is indeed a small plate of whatever you order. You can share to you cannot. But if you go the small plate route , you'll want to order between 3 and 4 items per person. The large plates are meals. The atmosphere was as expected. This would make a good date night. You could dress up or you could dress down. Either way, you'll be right at home. Our waitress Gabby did a great job and she was super helpful. My wife is allergic to rice so Gabby made sure to check with the chef about cross contamination and what was good for her on the menu and what not. Super appreciative of that. My wife tried two different sans spirits drinks. The espresso tonic. I tried it also. Big no! It has tonic espresso and grapefruit juice. Those did not vibe. We sent it back. She then tried the Purple Rain and loved it. All in all, it's a good spot and I'm glad we tried it. I think next time we will go exclusively with the large plates. The small plate route was kind of expensive for what we got and we didn't get a lot of food. We both actually left hungry. We are not drinkers but we accompanied two of our friends who are and they enjoyed the wine selection.

Unless you are having lunch there, and in that case I am guessing it may be the same, ie getting in the cue at 11ish before 12pm. I have had the Spotted Pig pizza and whatever enticing pie specialities they have rotated seasonally. I usually opt for the truffle oil or balsamic glaze on our pizza. I have never needed to tweak their delightful presented ingredients combinations. Their pizzas are that outstanding. Take for instance, a recent summer pizza from the Chef's own garden: "The Cuba Libra pizza ...This white pizza features mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, complemented by pork confit, chile-roasted jicama, pickled red onions, cilantro, and fresh mint." I'd never crave mint on a pizza but if Eastport's Vin 909 is serving it, I'm probably going to enjoy it. If you are the more traditional type, another seasonal pizza featured is the Yankee Pie: "family recipe crust with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, summer sausage, marinated red peppers and oregano." And yes, please, to another summer, perfect-in-Annapolis feature: "Vaquero Clams: Steamed local little neck clams, English ale, bacon, grilled poblano peppers, garlic guajillo butter, fresh oregano, epazote and cilantro." I love the gigantic Vin 909 featured arugula salad. I also miss their divine french press coffees and Butterscotch Pudding with caramelita points. A little known fact: when I was there, you could purchase extra caramelita points for $2 or $3. Vin 909 is truly the best dining in Annapolis -- or Naptown -- as folks like me say.

Our event experience (paid ) came with a glass of wine for all our guests. The wine was just put on a table without any explanation of the wine , grapes, or legacy. I brought several things for a raffle including the mayor bottle of wine , 2 tastings, and a wine flight for myself. There was no education or discussion about wine. Next, I ordered food and drinks before our event started and I didn't get my food until an hour after I arrived. Next , the suya was so tough I almost choked on a piece of it. The rice was decent but not a winner for me. Lastly, parking is limited to street parking or an outdoor parking lot up the street. It's a cute place to have a social event or a laid back wine meetup but definitely need more staff, wine education for visitors, and better food options.
