I used to go here during highschool, since sickles was so close it was a nice walk after exam days and the perfect spot for brunch with friends. Even though i graduated I still love going here! Mom and I stopped by and got our omelette. The portions are huge so there's plenty to take home! Our waitress was quick to bring us everything which was amazing since we had an appointment afterwards. The atmosphere is always nice and it seems regulars like to hangout as well. This diner was found by accident and is a pleasant surprise. Interior is bigger than it looks from the outside. The service is excellent! Gabby is awesome! I've driven past this little breakfast/brunch spot so many times but never stopped in until today - it's tucked away in this plaza, but there's a sign on the main road that isn't easily missed. It's very cute and quaint inside, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and the service was wonderful, our waitress was so lovely and attentive. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs and hashbrowns - I ate all of it if that tells you anything. I had zero complaints - very tasty. My husband ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with French toast as the bread, the waitress said this was like a McGriddle, but better, and my husband agreed with her after eating it. Best French toast I've had so far on my journey to find the best French toast in Tampa. I like it more than keke's and the grind's because the texture is more softer and flavor wise it's not even close. The banana foster sauce consists of melted bananas and for those don't don't know cooked bananas release more fragrance. It's freaking amazing and I my new favorite way to get French toast. Eggs were perfect, hashbrowns were crispy and tasty (seemed like avery small portion though), and the toast? MEH! As mention in other reviews... just plain old bread, barely toasted, seemed like only one of the two slices was actually buttered. Food was good (average for this kind of place), Service was very good... Should have done pics... but just wanted to eat and leave (see below) My main complaint is that Toast is right next to a hookah bar, and they must have some shared airspace. I stopped here just to try the Bananas Foster Crepes and I'm so glad I did. The ambiance was a typical family owned type breakfast and brunch place. Plenty of seating. There were plenty of options on the menu. I chose hash browns on the side instead of a muffin. I finished all of my meal, and decided to try the iced Greek frappe which was so flavorful! The food was amazing, I got a French Toast Sandwich (savory) and some Belgium waffles (sweet) and both were really good. Their home fries are also a hit. Soooo this visit was really a 3.5 but I don't want to give a 3 star rating to a small business that has some great things going for it. The plusses: Restaurant concept is awesome. Flavor profile of the food is great and the food was a good temp. when served. I love the owners. Very approachable. Small town, greasy spoon feel. I LOVE that they have covered, outdoor seating (but smoking is allowed). The minuses: They don't take American Express. The popper toast had WAY too many pickled jalapenos. The idea is great but lacks execution. I think they should have chopped them and mixed them with the cream cheese instead of adding a TON to the sandwich sliced. It would have made a more cohesive sandwich. The Mediterranean fries ($2 extra) have parmesan. Since this is supposed to be a Greek place, it would be better to have feta instead of canned parmesan, right? A small side (MAYBE 2 tablespoons) of tzatziki is $1.50. The prices went up drastically in the last couple months. Used to be $7 for a toast (sandwich) and now it's almost $11. I feel like the sauces and sides would be better house made especially with the cost going up so much. They likely have the ingredients in house already to make a few great sauces (ranch, tzatziki, honey mustard, etc). Wobbly tables... Great for the greasy spoon feel but not so great for drinks on the table. All in all, a few small tweaks and I'd have given this a 5... Even with the higher prices! I'll be back though. read more

We have eaten here numerous times and the food and service have always been top shelf but a recent visit changed all of that. We went on a Friday morning and it was not the least bit busy, 2 tables had people at them, we were the 3rd couple to walk in the door. Two waitresses working the floor, so you would expect the service to be prompt. Nope. Finally after 10 mins we were able to order our food and it took surprisingly long for the food to come out since we were the only customers at the time that had ordered food. Our breakfasts were cold, and the link sausages were gritty and soaked in grease and butter and tasted horrible. After taking our order we never saw our waitress again, the other waitress dropped the food. No refills while we ate and we had to ask for our check. When we left I saw our waitress sitting at a back table. I am not sure but it appears the previous owners may have sold as too much has changed for the worse to explain it. Too many choices in Trinity area so we will go elsewhere from now on. Sad as this USE to be the place for breakfast. Maybe that's why it wasn't crowded when before it use to be. read more
