This gem of a coffee bar and bakery is directly below the Inn at Cape Kiwanda, which is perfect for crawling out of your hotel bed and avoiding the in-room coffee machine. I've had two Americanos here so far, one last night and one this morning, so two different baristas. Both are top notch. I don't think I'll escape here before leaving without trying the cinnamon bliss. The baking is done on site, the staff is super friendly, and they have their regulars even in a tourist area like this. I've seen them clean up spaces recently vacated so that the place is clean and inviting whenever someone walks in. With the cheerful color scheme, art and big windows facing the beach, I'll miss this place when I go back home! read more

This is one of the worst coffee shops I've been to. It's slow, bad customer service and it's pretty small. The location is good, which is the reason for two stars, but they are under staffed and it's like the staff don't care about their customers. The drinks were ok, but no where near as good as Starbucks or Peets. It was very weird. read more

Wow! This place has really good coffee. I mean REALLY good. If you are in Pacific City, need some coffee and a pastry, don't hesitate to drop in. They have an large, open, and clean space with WiFi at the ready. Great coffee on the coast is rare, and you've just found one of the rarities. I forgot my Keurig coffeepot *and* the French press - ack! The beach house was equipped with a standard Mr Coffee machine and ... wait for it... a tin of Folger's coffee in the freezer, dated three years ago. Oh no, no, no... In a fog on our first morning there, I asked the teen to go over and get me a nonfat dry cappuccino - and oh yes, yes, yes! It was perfectly brewed, not bone-dry but not wet, either. The teen and his brother snagged a couple of their ginormous cookies, and a tradition was born. Every morning after, they eagerly volunteered to grab mom her drug of choice while they enjoyed items from the bakery case - ginormous cinnamon rolls (enough for four people!), bagels, etc. I've been there before on previous vacations, usually to check email with their free (fast!) wifi and enjoy a coffee break. This trip, however, has sealed my love of Stimulus! read more

Stimulus is almost too good to be true. Great coffee. Great service. Great goodies in the bakery case. Home made bread. And... an absolutely spectacular view of the ocean and Cape Kiwanda. I am "regular" who actually is lucky enough to live in the area. I have been coming to the Stiulus for as long as it has been here. Itcould have opened up and probably gotten by on the view alone. But, they keep making it better and better. The coffe got better. Then they added a great selection of bakery items. This past year they started selling home made bread. Very pleased to have found such a high quality, friendly coffee shop so close to where we're staying in Pacific City. The staff is always extremely nice, the coffee is great (especially the eggnog latte, which I have a soft spot for) and the food is remarkable. For a town that often doesn't have much in the way of "sit down" restaurants for breakfast on some weekdays, we wound up here with three hungry kids in tow and we all left very happy. The quiche is among the best I've had. This will become a normal stop for us when we're in Pacific City. read more

Stimulus has a super convenient location in Cape Kiwanda. Yeah for good coffee with an amazing view! I had an iced hazelnut latte that was pretty good and was made with Stumptown, but in a certain way almost had too much hazelnut syrup. However, the price was perfect; not overpriced tourist trap marked up. On the other hand I also had a cinnamon roll. For almost 4 bucks I would've been better off getting a package of Mr. Pillsbury doughboy and making one myself, if only I had an oven. The decor and layout is nice enough and they do have wi-fi, so the place seems perfect for those on vacation needing a nice workspace and if you want a $40 sweatshirt that says Stimulus Cape Kiwanda you can get one of those too. read more

I live this place. Fresh baked goods will not disappoint. They make everything there. Because of covid there is staff at the door-only 2-3 allowed in at a time, they have extra new masks which are required. No cash. Menu is limited from usual offerings. Only take out and order ahead curbside. If you are visiting on a weekend understand they are only place at the cape with coffee service so have some patience people. Be kind. read more

Hot coffees are good, iced coffees have about 2x more syrup than necessary- wayyyy too sweet. Bacon breakfast sandwich was very tasty, however, prices are almost unreasonable. $11 for a sandwich, with just bacon, egg and cheese. Sure, the bread is house made, and I'm sure the bacon and cheese are local. But $11? Prices are posted, I didn't notice until after the cashier said it'd be $36 for two to-go iced coffees and two sandwiches. We'll come back for the iced coffee, but next time can get almost 3 bagels and cream cheese (only $4) for the same price as 1 breakfast sandwich. read more

Coffee and hot chocolate are good but over the course of several days of our vacation not once were any of our cups full. They were 3/4 full every time and this was not due to the foam. We started asking for no foam. They just don't fill the cups enough. They skimp on the coffee and it's as if they've been instructed to do so, not by mistake. Long line on a weds! Pastries were good, nice to have GF options which they never had before. But unless you love lavender, don't order the lavender cake- instead of a hint of lavender it tasted like an air freshener. We go here only when grateful bread is closed. Glad to have this option but not our favorite! read more

This cute coffee spot can is a good bet for caffeine when in Pacific City. This place is not to be compared with the stalwarts of Portland and Seattle coffee. This is a seaside coffee shop, and so you may not be dazzled if you're one of those coffee-snob city-types. Things to note: Their beans are quite good. We bought a 12 oz package, and it brews a great cup of coffee. If you're used to two shots of espresso (at least) per drink, you may want to make sure that the drink you order comes standard with two shots, and if not, order some extra. They carry Smith teas, however, I'm not sure what the expected shelf-life is for them. I was going to buy a box, but then looked and saw it was packed three years ago, which seemed a rather long time. I opted for a single cup, hoping that the stock they use for their per-cup customers was fresher. I have no way of knowing. They have Iced Coffee on the menu (one of my favorite things), but every time I've come in, they've told me all I can get is an iced americano. I've been in Seattle so long that I know the difference, and know I prefer to just get a milk (or soymilk) based drink over unknown shot quality in an americano. The pastries look tasty, the additional beverage selection in the beverage case includes Izze sodas and bottled water. It's a good place to sit down, and the nearby view and beach is great to be around. So far as I can tell, this is the best cafe in Pacific City. read more

don't understand why they sell tee shirts that say stimulus on them. Coffee was alright. Restrooms are not in this coffee shop. You have to go outside and enter the hotel it is connected to, to use a restroom. Right next to the lookout and ocean. So, convenient location. read more

Excellent coffee in a fun atmosphere. Be careful as this is the only true coffee place in town so it gets packed early on in the morning and stays pretty busy throughout the day. Down side is they only ever seem to have the two staff behind the counter so the wait times are longer. read more

This place is my new favorite Coffee Spot in the area. Bold delicious flavors efficient service and authentic taste. The bean is amazing I had to buy a bag to take home for my expresso machine. The americanos were on point and I felt a great kick up in my energy when consuming this amazing coffee. The name made me chuckle a little bit but that's probably just my dark humor.
