I was visiting from WI and absolutely love dining at your restaurant. The best part about Saturday night is the 1/2 price Suishi which is fantastic and such a great deal. The service was wonderful. All the booths were taken so we sat at one of the high top tables, located near the front door. The temperature was considerably chilly for this time of year. There was a cold front that came through. We arrived prior to 6 PM but would have had to wait awhile if we wanted a booth to seat 5 of us. The menu has quite a nice variety of other dishes besides Suishi, however I have only tried the Suishi when I have come into your restaurant. Next time I am in town I will try something new. The manager came over and basically argued with me by "nicely" explaining in great detail all of the sauces. She came over two other times and just kept talking about the stupid sauces. I just wanted to eat my stupid chicken (didn't trust sending it back for fear of chef retaliation - I've worked in restaurants). On top of everything I wasn't even offered something off my bill. I had the pork spring rolls for an appetizer with sweet and sour chicken, and my wife had the tempura vegetables and wonton soup. The sweet and sour chicken comes with a lot of vegetables. I meet with a group of people once a month and we always go to the stir fry Cafe. It's a nice quiet place without loud music playing and we can have a nice conversation. We always tip very well be for a couple of hours. We had met somewhere else the last couple of months in today decided to go back to stir fry because of the other restaurants we tried had way too loud of your music. I don't know if the restaurant changed owners or if they got a new chef. I was totally shocked how bad the food was. I always get the bento box who has a great variety of items. My sushi which was shrimp inside had so much sauce on top. That's all you could taste and the shrimp tasted like they were old. When you get that iodine type flavor you know the shrimp are old. The salad is usually very good but the lettuce was like green leaves and some of them had wilting around the edge. The dressing tasted just a little bit different. The rice, I ordered fried rice had no flavor and I had to pour a lot of soy sauce on it and I still could not eat it. My favorite part of the bento box are the two dumplings and the shrimp. Usually they are two shrimp fitted together and there's five of those. So you get 10 shrimp that are grilled and put on top of some stir-fried onions. But the shrimp were cooked so much. They were hard as rubber and you could barely chew them and the onions were red onions instead of white onions and you just don't use red onions to stir fry. It just threw off the whole shrimp or stir fried onions and the sauce. I explained to them I could not eat it because this sushi had so much sauce on top and the shrimp tasted old like iodine. I explain that the salad had old lettuce. The shrimp were cooked so much. They were like rubber in the stir fry. Onions were red onions and my dumplings were deep fried so hard. You could barely eat them and they were happy to only charge me 50%. I ate one piece of sushi. I had someone else taste a piece to verify it tasted like iodine. I ate two of the 10 shrimp because I thought well. Maybe one was just overcooked but both of them were overcooked. I took one bite of rice and I ate one dumpling and they were willing to give me a 50% discount. I can tell you my group will not be back and I'm just letting everyone know. I'm not sure what's happened but their food has really gone downhill. I wish I would have taken pictures but pictures would have looked fine. It's just trying to explain that. The shrimp were overcooked. The dumplings were overcooked. The rice had no flavor either in the sushi so much sauce on it and the shrimp inside the sushi tasted old. The lady that I dealt with last night was one of the most sweetest people I have met in a long time. I was picking up an order to deliver and my phone went dead. My car charger wouldn't charge my phone, so I took the food back in and explained. She grabbed my phone and stuck it on her charger and let me use their phone to call DD so I could unassign. My phone charged enough to finish what I needed, hung up with DD, and delivered my order in time. It's rare that you find nice people in this world anymore, especially the restaurant industry. Again, she was the most sweetest and not because she helped me, but she never quit smiling while dealing with me and waiting on customers. While I was pacing back and forth waiting for support to answer, I looked around and it's one of the cleanest places I have been to. I didn't even know this place existed ( I was in that parking lot for another reason) so I stopped to grab the food to go. I think one family were inside and this was around 3ish give or take. I ordered chicken fried rice for my son and the tofu drunken noodles for myself. The To Go Boxes : Are huge and we still got food left over. It could honestly feed a family of 4. It's a lot and well worth it the price. The only thing that my son didn't like was it was way to many eggs, he felt like there were more eggs than it was meat. My complaint regarding my food was it needed flavor, I brought it home - Because I got a cabinet full of flavor and season. Another thing is that this restaurant can be easily missed if you aren't walking on the sidewalk or slowing down at a almost stop- It looks like a retail store on the outside until you realize oh it's a patio for a restaurant. I ordered the Tom Kha soup, which is quite good and a Salmon roll, also good. I always ordered twice cooked pork in the past with fried rice, so I decided to stick to the classics. My server gave me brown rice instead, which is ok as it is healthier, but I was very disappointed in the entree. There was literally no taste. I even doused it with soy sauce that did nothing. Placed my oder for lunch and was advised the bourbon chicken was not considered linch and received a 35.00 bill for a lunch special! Very good food. The place has limited seating with Covid restrictions and not warm enough for outside seating. So you may have longer wait times. However the food is great and we had awesome service while dining. Our server was very nice and responsive. Never came close to having an empty glass either. The rolls were very teeny, which is kinda nice because it fits in your mouth without a mess, but so small that it's noticeably odd. The rolls were grocery store level good, so not horrible but also not really worth the half off price. I also got Tom kha soup which was good in its own right but also nothing like tom kha soup, if that makes sense. My friend got Bourbon chicken, which was was ok, but had excessive amounts of onions. I went to Stir Fry Cafe this evening with my parents- first time trying it. Their menu is extensive lots of options from Japanese, Chinese and thai dishes. To start we got the steamed pot stickers which had nice flavor but not my favorite. I got the chicken bento box for my main dish, it came with teriyaki chicken, fried rice, spring roll, salad and a shrimp tempura roll. I also added on a cup of the Tom kha soup. It was all delicious! I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh everything was. Our server was great and very attentive- he checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is that the inside of the restaurant seemed pretty dirty/dingy...it could use a nice cleaning. The spicy tuna roll was not the best sushi I've ever had but on Saturday dine-in it is half off sushi so for $5 a roll I cannot complain. They brought us springs rolls, but after 45 minutes we are still waiting for our dinner. One of the party ordered Saki. Went on a Thursday night and there were only 3 tables of people. The place was extremely dirty. The lamps over our table were covered in dust and the whole place needs a good cleaning. Came here to try their 1/2 price sushi on Wednesday. Got the lettuce wraps for an appetizer and they were ok. I guess I'm used to lettuce wraps at other places and even though I love peanut butter, it was a little much, it really overpowers all the other ingredients and all you taste is peanut butter with a little heat.
