Our kitchen sink pipe was leaking. I took some photos and sent them to Nicholas. He came to the rescue very quickly and replaced the pipes for which we were very grateful. However, the pipe required a connection from the dishwasher. The connection wasn't perfectly sealed when the pipe was replaced. We realized there was a leak 2 months after the installation and contacted Nicholas. He came on the same day and fixed the problem. I needed my new gas range installed, and I'd asked for an estimate from a large company masquerading under a personal name. They sent a barely competent "supervisor" round to look at the job, then gave me a ridiculously high price and lied to me about City requirements. When I called Nick, he was available to do the job almost immediately, but first we had to negotiate the building management's demands for a certificate of insurance; that done, Nick came by a few days later and installed my range in less than an hour, with no fuss or bother, for 20% of the big company's estimate. He even supplied the flexible connector for free. I'm so glad I found him and didn't go with the first plumber I called. This company is amazing. First of all, their prices are fair. Second of all, they know how to do literally anything, from plumbing to electricity to construction. I just moved into a home and I had several things I needed help with... replacing a garage door, replacing a patio door, showers that were not running hot water, lights that were not turning on, mice popping out of random holes in the house. I called this company on a Saturday night, and Nick came out the next day to give a free estimate of the work requested. I had already had a plumber come out for the showers, that said there was nothing he could do about it, but Nick quickly recognized that the handles were not installed properly, and quickly fixed the issue. In total, with all the work, he came with various company members a total of about 5 times. The work was done with care, professionally, and he explained everything that was needed. They also took appropriate precautions, (masks, staying 6 week apart, minimal people) considering the COVID 19 precautions. I expected this from the reviews I read and opted to still use because I cared more about good work and luckily have a flexible schedule. When he arrived he quickly assessed that a special tool would be needed to drill through concrete to hang my chandelier. We rescheduled again and he promptly showed up and had the resources to get another tool when the one he brought didn't work. Nick confirmed he would come Saturday morning to do repairs and never showed up. I had to call and text him, with no response. I wanted it to work out and rescheduled for the following weekend. He actually offered to stop by a day earlier, and came to assess the repairs. I felt good about giving him a second chance as he seemed like a nice guy. On Saturday morning, the day of rescheduling the repair work, he texted 45 minutes before the scheduled time. He had a late night emergency repair and asked me to please give understand, and I did. So we rescheduled for Sunday. Last Sunday, he didn't call to confirm before arrival as he said he would, and he did not answer my call or text messages when it was past his scheduled time. In fact, he still hasn't responded and has never apologized. I gave him three chances, all with excuses and then without even an acknowledgement. Nick is an excellent professional. While he may not always show up exactly on time, it's fine. Be aware these guys are going from job to job and often delays happen so can't expect him to show up exactly at time promised. Realistically expect a few hour window for his arrival. Nick did a quick fix to the shower regulator to restore hot water when other plumbers were quick to sell me a new friggin water heater for several thousand dollars. Another plumber told me my radiator heat in a room could not be restored unless I installed a brand new piping to the room which would have cost thousands. Nick came and assessed the radiator and fixed it! Bottom line, I find other pros quick to recommend complete overhaul of systems. Nick on the other hand is actually very experienced and has shown the ability to identify problems and fix things others cannot, saving me thousands.
